Anyone else out there have problem with having their hotmail or live mail being pushed to your Galaxy Note? Half of the time, when O get an email to my Live Mail, it does not push to my Galaxy Note. I checked all the settings and they all are correct. Am I the only one having this problem? Is this an isolate issue for me?
Any input will be greatly appreciated!!!

Not using a Galaxy Note but a Windows Phone and my Hotmail push today has been abysmal. Just ran a series of test messages back and forth between my Hotmail and Exchange addresses. Still waiting for it to get pushed to my phone after 10 minutes and I can see it sitting in the Hotmail Inbox via the MSN homepage.
What is going on?
My problem is that is live mail pushes to other phone but wont push to this phone. The only way I can have it push to my phone is use enhanced mail which is a paid app. This is a new phone that is less than 2 month. I should not have an issue getting live mail pushed to my phone when it get pushed to my other phones with no issues including Galaxy S 2 i727

I have a strange problem with the default email app. There's like 10 copies of each email, doesn't save sent emails, don't send deleted emails to Trash folder. Anyone facing the same problem? Any available solution?

How are you configuring your email? Is it a windows live account, yahoo, gmail, etc?
Is it POP3, IMAP, or Exchange?
Personally I had a problem when configuring my windows live account with the default (Exchange) method. Whenever I send an email, it gets sent twice or thrice! I worked-around this issue by using POP3, which has many shortcomings, but it solved that issue.
Windows Live Messenger (@msn.com), it was automatically configured. Do you recommend a certain configuration? Thanks!

The issue I had with duplicate emails was resolved after updating to 3.2
I have a new galaxy tab 10.1 running 3.2 and still have the issue with multiple emails going out, and items not deleting from my deleted mail.
I've tried the stock email as well as K9. I own my own domain and use my own email. I've set it up as an IMAP account. I also have a Samsung Epic and always had the same issue there too.
I really would like a fix for this. It's pretty ridiculous that 'email' is such an issue. It's not like it's a new technology.
Help..
R
I got same prob with gmail app and my google acc. on my tab (running on Overcome Rom with Pershoot Kernel)
Maybe it has something to do with coustom rom's?
Not sure it has to do with custom Rom. I'm still using stock on my galaxy tab.
Having hotmail as my primary email, every time I send an email from the phone it shows up as my hotmail username and NOT my display name. For example, instead of showing up as from "John Smith" it shows up as "jsmith". I have not had this issue on any other phone including Galaxy Nexus, S2, Note, One X and the iPhone.
Would really love any kind of assistance to get this fixed!
Thanks!
well when you set up your email through the phones application for it you had a choice of what you could have you name as if you delete the email account and do it again look out for the white bar where you can change your name.

I cannot find a spot to do this as I'm setting the hotmail account as exchange for syncing / push purposes.
can you not just delete the email account you have set up on your phone and type it all in again it should come up with a space where you can pick what you qant your name to come up as when people recieve emails off you and things like that

On Exchange this should be typical. Would be better to use imap.

You could've put hotmail in the title so I would know in advance that I don't care. Not that I didn't love the suspense
This seriously doesn't seem like a big deal, especially since others claim its because you haven't configured it right. None of my contacts (professional or personal) would give a **** if it only showed my email address.

I'd be okay if it showed my email address but it only shows what precedes the @hotmail.com - looks cheap. I've deleted and configured the account multiple times to no avail. Works with the same settings on a variety of phones.. Just a piss off.

Has anyone worked this out?
It's been an issue with Samsung stock email since day 0. Generally I try to use ROMs with AOSP email, but I really like my current ROM except for that!
All,
My friend used to have a Motorola Droid X on VZW and upgraded to the SIII. He can't get his e-mail to sync any more frequently than 15 minutes with Comcast, but he used to be able to do this on the Motorola. Gmail seems to push correctly in the Gmail app but that isn't his primary account.
I figured I'd post on his behalf, after searching and not finding anything relevant in the S3 forums. Is there a way to get push to work on the stock e-mail app?

My boss' S3 has the same problem with his AOL account. His emails dont always arrive in order either. Some older ones will show up after newer ones.
I'm using k9 mail for my business domain but I know Comcast doesn't even support IMAP could it be a Comcast and not the email client?

I'll double check, jason, but he claims he had it on his Droid. He tried a Comcast app too, he says nowhere (even Settings -> Accounts) can he change polling to les than 15 minutes for his accounts.
I had a DNA demo unit for about two weeks. I was able to add my Live Hotmail and Yahoo! accounts through their respective account types under Accounts & Sync. I liked the DNA, so I went ahead and ordered one. I received it today, but it's not letting me set up my Live Hotmail or Yahoo! accounts. I keep getting a message saying "503 80383: Pin expired." I've read the workaround where you add them using the regular Mail account type, but then you don't get the Live Hotmail or Yahoo! notification icon when you get new mail. You just get the regular Mail icon. I have no idea why it worked on the demo unit, but won't work on mine. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
Don't set them up three "yahoo" or "hotmail" . Use other

I always recommend getting the specific yahoo or Hotmail apps from the play store, they seem to work much better than using the stock mail app.

Hadn't thought of that. Maybe I'll give it a try.
I had same issue, but it is possible. Set up like this:
Select as an Exchange account
Server: "m.hotmail.com"
Username: your email address
Make sure box is checked for encrypted SSL
There is a lot about this on the hotmail/outlook help site. Good luck.

I have reset my AOL email account twice. I have it set to push all day from 5 am to 459 am. I hit refresh several times a day and it's like they all come at one time. The emails have times that range hours before I actually receive them. I have the email client set to sync. My question is how do I know when the day's of the week are selected as it is either white or blue when you press it. Any suggestions how to fix. I am stock and uprooted.

Which ROM?
Which email client- AOSP or TW?
I tend to prefer the AOSP client over TW due to similar issues with AOL.
K9 is also a very good alternative.
The stock aol that comes on the phone. Have stock 4.1.2 nvere rooted. Im using k9 now just dont know why the stock email client doesnt work.
