AOL mail does not push - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have reset my AOL email account twice. I have it set to push all day from 5 am to 459 am. I hit refresh several times a day and it's like they all come at one time. The emails have times that range hours before I actually receive them. I have the email client set to sync. My question is how do I know when the day's of the week are selected as it is either white or blue when you press it. Any suggestions how to fix. I am stock and uprooted.

Which ROM?
Which email client- AOSP or TW?
I tend to prefer the AOSP client over TW due to similar issues with AOL.
K9 is also a very good alternative.

The stock aol that comes on the phone. Have stock 4.1.2 nvere rooted. Im using k9 now just dont know why the stock email client doesnt work.

Email app shows many copies of the same email and don't send deleted emails to trash?

I have a strange problem with the default email app. There's like 10 copies of each email, doesn't save sent emails, don't send deleted emails to Trash folder. Anyone facing the same problem? Any available solution?

How are you configuring your email? Is it a windows live account, yahoo, gmail, etc?
Is it POP3, IMAP, or Exchange?
Personally I had a problem when configuring my windows live account with the default (Exchange) method. Whenever I send an email, it gets sent twice or thrice! I worked-around this issue by using POP3, which has many shortcomings, but it solved that issue.
Windows Live Messenger (@msn.com), it was automatically configured. Do you recommend a certain configuration? Thanks!

The issue I had with duplicate emails was resolved after updating to 3.2
I have a new galaxy tab 10.1 running 3.2 and still have the issue with multiple emails going out, and items not deleting from my deleted mail.
I've tried the stock email as well as K9. I own my own domain and use my own email. I've set it up as an IMAP account. I also have a Samsung Epic and always had the same issue there too.
I really would like a fix for this. It's pretty ridiculous that 'email' is such an issue. It's not like it's a new technology.
Help..
R
I got same prob with gmail app and my google acc. on my tab (running on Overcome Rom with Pershoot Kernel)
Maybe it has something to do with coustom rom's?
Not sure it has to do with custom Rom. I'm still using stock on my galaxy tab.

Anyone else having problems with hotmail being Pushed?

Anyone else out there have problem with having their hotmail or live mail being pushed to your Galaxy Note? Half of the time, when O get an email to my Live Mail, it does not push to my Galaxy Note. I checked all the settings and they all are correct. Am I the only one having this problem? Is this an isolate issue for me?
Any input will be greatly appreciated!!!

Not using a Galaxy Note but a Windows Phone and my Hotmail push today has been abysmal. Just ran a series of test messages back and forth between my Hotmail and Exchange addresses. Still waiting for it to get pushed to my phone after 10 minutes and I can see it sitting in the Hotmail Inbox via the MSN homepage.
What is going on?
My problem is that is live mail pushes to other phone but wont push to this phone. The only way I can have it push to my phone is use enhanced mail which is a paid app. This is a new phone that is less than 2 month. I should not have an issue getting live mail pushed to my phone when it get pushed to my other phones with no issues including Galaxy S 2 i727

[Q] True there's no Push email in stock app?

All,
My friend used to have a Motorola Droid X on VZW and upgraded to the SIII. He can't get his e-mail to sync any more frequently than 15 minutes with Comcast, but he used to be able to do this on the Motorola. Gmail seems to push correctly in the Gmail app but that isn't his primary account.
I figured I'd post on his behalf, after searching and not finding anything relevant in the S3 forums. Is there a way to get push to work on the stock e-mail app?

My boss' S3 has the same problem with his AOL account. His emails dont always arrive in order either. Some older ones will show up after newer ones.
I'm using k9 mail for my business domain but I know Comcast doesn't even support IMAP could it be a Comcast and not the email client?

I'll double check, jason, but he claims he had it on his Droid. He tried a Comcast app too, he says nowhere (even Settings -> Accounts) can he change polling to les than 15 minutes for his accounts.

Android E-Mail vs. GMail Apps

Am I the only person that hates the Gmail App from the market and would rather use the email app?
Right now I've got both a Samsung Galaxy Gio running CM7 and an LG Eclypse (aka MyTouch Q) running CM9 and for both of them I far prefer e-mail to gmail. Although they're very similar as far as the basic UI goes, I find that the gmail app has quite a few problems with attachments and images. Sometimes it will show me the text of an email for about 2 seconds and then go blank white. I have none of these problems with E-Mail.
I just want to see who else is like-minded on this... Thoughts? Comments?
I used to have the white display issues on both Gmail and Email.
I found that if I force closed the app and started it again, the problem disappeared.
I haven't had this problem again since moving to JB.

You'll love K9-Mail. It's based on the original Android email app.
I have to send attachments through my gmail app because my android mail has problems sending attachments via Microsoft Exhange Server....

GMail is a lot better. It groups all emails with same subject in 1 line. It's huge advantage
I like the android one, its a lot more simple. Gmail sometimes take forever to sync, I gave up on that thing a long time ago.

I've used K-9 Mail for almost as long as I've had Android devices and have not once looked back. Seriously, try it out if you haven't already.

Are you looking for a more robust mail app?

The stock Samsung email app is OK but robust it is not. If you want more consider AquaMail Pro. Free trial and a few bucks to own. Very good looking and powerful. Keep all of your email addresses in one spot.
I have no connection to the app other than I own and like it.
K9 mail real good opensource mail client.

i like the Sammy Email but +1 on free and robust
I agree Aquamail is quite nice IMO. Did not take long for me to get the pro version... For couple bucks it is well worth it.... Knowing also how much work is required to access exchange via ews the app is in fact cheap... Only complain is no sync with Outlook contact and calendar AFAIK.
Thanks for the heads up on this app that deserves it.
Cloudmagic is great too

blue mail it's the best.... ????
If I require mail, contact and calendar sync with 3 Exchange accounts what is the best non stock email app for me to try? I have been hating the inaccurate notification style of the stock Samsung email app
Nine is my email app of choice. Plus it shows the exchange calendar in the stock calendar app.

+1 for Nine. I have been looking for a good Exchange Email App and when I found Nine I knew I hit gold! It is by far the best Exchange Email app around... and I have tried many.

If MS Exchange compatibility is your prioirity you cant beat Touchdown. It is not free however. But you can get a free trial to try it out. For me its well worth the price.
Yes, Cloudmagic. I just went through and tried most of them, and Cloudmagic I've been using for about a week. Aquamail did look good, I just didn't have the time to go through and learn all the functionalities of it. I'll probably give it another try once I'm able to spend more time learning it.

Definitely Blue mail is the go-to mail app, it is free Nd it is multiaccount with push notifications and looks great on the GTS
The new Gmail does all that and is free

But Gmail doesn't have push notifications
Is it only the included mailapp (and calendar) from Samsung that works with the tab after papergarden? I assume you know what I'm talking about, no? On videos from YouTube I believe the widgets covering the calendar and mail widgets are yellow and green.
If third party mail/calendar apps doesn't work together with said widgets, isn't it better to stick with the stock apps?
No way.. Blue mail is the one. They will repond quickly also if you send in ab issue. Plus its works constantly for push on mulitple accounts. Stock for some reason goes to sleep and emails come in up to 1 hour late. I thought google would have fixed the isue from note 3. Not every since they stopped supporting exchange mail settings 2 years ago.
who runs blue mail? There no info who they are?
I like mailbox, perfect for me.
type mail
It's fairly new but I love it I think it's better than aquamail pro, I have them both downloaded but I think Type Mail is alot faster. Did I mention completely free.
