I had found that, I'm looking for the page that shows battery health. How many mAh the battery is. Batt temp. All that good stuff. I could of swore I had seen it but for the life of me I just can't figure it out. Driving me nuts

[Q] UnNamed battery vs ICScrewed battery

does anyone know how the battery life of the UnNamed ROM compare to the ICScrewed ROM battery life?
really? just try it yourself
ICScrewed 1.4.2 awosome bat life! Can't speak for UnNamed haven't tried it yet. Been on ICScrewed since I got the phone.
Sent from my Dual Core Monster via xda premium app
They should be about the same, unless ICScrewD leaves the SNS widgets/services in. If it does you can remove them.
ICScrewD might be slightly better due to being based on an I9100 firmware release, but it's going to be a tiny difference if at all. I9100 firmwares seemed to have lower idle drain than UCKH7, but UCKK6 might be improved in that regard.
Just try them both - the differences in battery life will be negligible if anything.
Unnamed rocks
note this is a old image i took a while back usually i get similar to the above screen shot with battery life

Geez, is that with heavy use? I can only get about ~15 hours before I'm around 25%. I'm running Entropy and UnNamed.
honestly that was from weeks ago i dont remember, just found my screen shot, i normally get around 16-17 then i charge soooo
My best is 4 days on Unnamed with light usage (some calls, text messages, gmail, web browsing, comic reading). Haven't tried the other one.

I have used both and think they are both very good. I believe I may have had slightly better life on UnNamed but not by much at all. I personally run ICScrewD because I feel it is a little smoother and has a better layout.

[Q] Is it worth it to run speedy v7 or mashup v2 on cm7

Mashup gets great signal sucks the battery though...
Sent from my MB870 using Xparent ICS Blue Tapatalk 2
I ran them both on CM7 honestly. The go power app/widget thing I use tells me I have about 24hrs battery from a full charge. Don't know exactly how accurate that is, but I didn't really notice too much of a hit after applying them...
Sent from my MB870 using XDA
I didn't notice a huge difference with Speedy. I'm still using mashup even with CM9. It's pretty much a miracle worker.
Mashup seems to really help with signal and overall stability. Worth a try.

Which consumes more battery

Wifi or 3g?
sent from sgh-i777 using tapatalk
If you are constantly searching for Wi-Fi it is more battery consuming but 3g is more consuming if you are connected
Sent from my SGH-I777
3G consumes more battery while being used than wifi does. Especially on a less than perfect 3g signal.
Thanks. My 3g is always enabled and only getting 5 hours bat life on normal usage. I guess i have to try other options.

either your "normal" use consists of playing games or music for those 5 hours constantly.
or you have a serious issue.
Normal use consist of browsing, calls, sms, exchange email, tapatalk, pulse and a little of temple run.

you should check the known battery drainer thread.
You got issues man. I highly doubt its a network issue.
If your rooted I'd do a full wipe, and pay attention to what apps you install.
Thanks. Will check the thread

Yes. Switching to edge while on stand by will definitely save a little battery (or a lot if your 3g signal is bad). But it might end up draining more battery using edge while you're actually using the data (takes longer to do things like web browsing). What's your screen on time while only getting 5 hours of battery?
Yeah i noticed that too. Edge consumes less power than 3g. But one thing surprise me now, i turned off my packet data for 2 hrs and only got 1% battery drain. Im only using one push email and other apps set to manual refresh (fb,twitter, etc)

That's what your battery life should be. Go into about phone > staus with your 3g/4g turned on and check the dB rating. Anything above -90 is fairly poor.

[Q] Now It's December...any word from HTC on ICS?

Is HTC still planning on updating this thing to ICS or have they just decided to scrap it? Has there been any official word from them regarding the Tbolt's fate? Some guy at Radioshack told me HTC has officially cancelled the ICS update, but I haven't seen or heard any other source so far that mirrors his assertion.
Have any of you guys read anything regarding whether or not ICS is still a go for us Tbolt owners?
Was wondering the same
I'll put it this way just give up hoping and you will feel better in about a week. Then when its cancelled officially you're not bummed. Then if by an act of god its released. you can be pleased by the news. We are going on what 5 months from the original release date? I think by now we can put the horse out to pasture with these threads every month.
Look at the facts this phone is about to hit its second anniversary. Another is its not a nexus device as that seems to be the only brand that gets updates even after the phone is old.
Sent from my ThunderBolt using Tapatalk 2
And how old is the oldest nexus? I bet my sox they won't always get that treatment.
But yeah there's only a dozen threads like this and some of them are still getting new posts.

I agree with everything that said here HTC says they will be coming out with another ICS update for all phones with greater than 512 MB of memory this would have 768. But the normal next up is one gig of memory the best thing to do is go back to gingerbread under volt your CPU and get a resound battery. between under voting and the Rezound battery I have passed up upgrades for the last six months because my phone not only last longer than when I got it but faster.
Even if this phone does get ics the battery will be cut in half. Ics it's a great selling point when you want to Craig's list it but the power drain will bee twice what it was on gingerbread
The power drain on ICS won't be twice as fast. What even makes you think that? In all reality it should be twice as good since ICS handles resources better and uses hardware rendering for the ui freeing up CPU cycles.

Galaxy nexus is a prime example. Look at all the newer ics phones out there. Their battery like is like double ours. Its proven ics doesn't improve battery life. The gnex is a prime example as its battery size is somewhere close to ours. Even running twisted ics rom battery life is no better than a gb aosp rom. So I think you are in for a rude awakening when and if we get ics. I never heard Google say battery life with ics was suppose to be better. That's just what board member started. We all know the main power drain on phones are the screens. How can an os upgrade improve an old screen in being more efficient? In the end battery life on the bolt will either be the same or worse. Don't even think our little weak battery is going to have the same performances as the larger extended battery's.

The galaxy nexus also has a faster processor than this phone and sports a super amoled screen. Nexus phones are like muscle cars, they're fast as hell but man does the mpg suck.
I can verify that ICS won't make the battery life worse. I had my Nexus S 4G when ICS released and going from Gingerbread 2.3.7 to ICS 4.0 made a huge difference in battery life. I suddenly didn't have to carry my charger with me to college.

It would probably be different for the bolt. I'm sure sense will slurp down the battery like it's cool.

Everyone says that the dual core processors are suppose to be more forgiving on power useage. Beings it doesn't have to work as hard like our single core processors do. I have seen the newer corvettes get close to 30 MPG. Its not the power but the gearing that really sucks gas lol.
Sent from my SHIFTAO5P using Tapatalk 2
Ive never heard anyone say dual core saves battery. The lte chip in the phone is what sucks the battery most of the time. The newer phones like the dna have the lte chip embedded in the cpu which helps save battery. A friend of mine has one and can talk for an hour on the phone and only lose 7%. He can go almost an entire day without putting it on charge.

Totally unacceptable. I'd take my BlackBerry off the charger at 7AM Friday morning, use it heavily Friday, lightly on Saturday and Sunday, I'd have to recharge Sunday night. That's acceptable.
I still have an old BB 9650, I'm so tempted to re-activate it.....

By comparison, I can't get 12 hours on the T'Bolt running NuSense and just over 12 hours running Infected ROM.
That's with all the tricks I can find and swapping Rezound batteries.
The T'Bolt is just a battery hog, most BBs have much longer battery life.
NOTE: I hear constantly that Sense uses a lot of juice but I have very little difference with de-sensed ROMs and...... I LIKE Sense.

Dude, you cant really compare any blackberry to an android device. BlackBerry isn't even close to the power that android has. Also, nusense had to use an incomplete rom as a base which has had a huge affect on the battery life. Considering what has been done to nusense i have to give huge props to Santod for taking a crappy leak and making it great.

ROM and Battery Life

Running UKB I don;t see an improvement.

Thats garbage.
Can we list our battery life and settings? for specific roms?

there's already like 3 other battery threads. go in there and read up on peoples settings rather than start your own where you just complain about it, while the rest of us are getting along fine.
