Hi,
Last time I read about a problem custom kernel loading in current bootloader. And somehow DoomLord successfully load custom kernel with help from freexperia team. May I know how to achive bootable custom kernel? I'm really want to make something in kernel. But can't do anything cause Xperia is new platform from me
Thanks for the guide...

I would like to install and test some of the custom kernels the devs are cooking up - to play with them and to help the devs with feedback if possible. But I didn't find good instructions on how to flash them the right way. I have tried a couple of times but always end up with the regular kernels at the end, so obviously I'm doing something wrong.
Can someone point me in the right directions? Thanks!!

How-To for testing custom kernel by DooMLoRD
You need to edit your chargemon file to boot into the custom kernel. Also you can find some edited chargemon files in the custom kernel thread.
Hi everybody!
I am very new in playing with ROMs and custom kernels, so I kindly ask your help!
I would like to try the latest fantastic zKernel 2.6.29 (link to thread HERE) on my Stock SE 2.1 ROM but I don't know very well how to perform certain operations. In particular:
1) How to check which xRecovery I have inside my phone?
2) How to move from my actual baseband (52) to the suggested one (67)?
3) Once I install the kernel through xRecovery (just choose ZIP and install right?), how to go back to the stock one in case something wrong happens?
4) Before new kernel installation, do I have to perform some cache cleaning or other similar stuff through xRecovery?
5) Other steps needed/suggested to do?
Many many thanks in advance!! And please remember I'm only a poor newbie!!
Before flashing the custom kernel, I recommend going to:

It should really help you understand what you need to do.
thanks for this!
Ok so i am sure this is noob question I am currently running the latest doom kernel and the T.E.A.M ROM v1.6. My question if I change ROM do I need to go back to the stock kernel first? If so were can I download it i think I found a thread with a list of Kernels once but can't find it again.
OK, I've had enough with unlocking the bootloader and flashing kernels. I'M SICK OF WHEN I FIND A PERFECR ROM THAT NEEDS A KERNEL!!!
What's the best ROM (Android 2.3+) that has XPERIA UI and without flashing a kernel, and how to install it?
i used this one for a very loooooong time

Hello guys I'm asking you some information about the kernel, I hope this is the right thread.
I'd like to know if I can use use type of kernel for every kind of phone/CPU or if the kernel is based on a specific phone.
My problem is that I have a tablet (cube talk 9x) but I can't find any kernel for it. So can I flash for example the Franco kernel on it?
Thank you very much guys.
