I just downloaded goomanager and it is a great program, with goomanager you can get ron updates (nightlies, cherry, ect) download, backup, delete cash, and flash all in one.
It works great with TWRP 2.1, after checking the right boxes in goomanager, it rebooted into TWRP and did all the above. It didn't take very long either then just reboot system and I was done.

Hello Everyone,
I currently have a Nook Tablet v1.4.1, rooted w/ stock ROM and blocked OTA updates. I also currently have CWM Recovery. Is there a flashable .zip of TWRP somewhere that I can flash for this NT? I much rather run TWRP than CWM Recovery.
Thanks!

If you have access to play store download GooManager or download it from the goo.im website. Within the GooManager app hit Menu > Install Open Recovery, from there a window will pop up asking you if you want to install hit yes. Another window will pop up showing you which TWRP Recovery you will be installing, tap yes. GooManager will download and install TWRP automatically. DONE! EASY!

There is -- you can find it at Succulent's blog (iamafanof.wordpress.com).

But that's not from Goomanager, so the OP needs to be careful if they're on a 5-touch firmware.
Gents,
I'm not sure on which version of TWRP I need then. I have a regular Nook Tablet, rooted w/ Stock ROM, v1.4.1 with blocked OTA updates. Which version do I need?
Thanks!
BJ
If you haven't installed the 5 touch firmware, then the version from Goomanager will be the right one for you.

LiquidZoo,
I went the GooManager route and followed the directions exactly.
The only problem is that when the Nook reboots into recovery, it goes back to CWM.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

try rebooting without the sd card in the slot....
I am on Beans Build 12 right now and everytime I try to install ANYTHING through TWRP it fails.
Weird enough, the only thing that won't fail is if i reinstall Beans Build 12. When I first installed it I chose the SD Card swap option, if that makes any difference to those who may know what the problem is.
I've had this happen a couple times.
After it fails, try using the reboot to recovery option and try installing again after it reboots to twrp.
Also, you could try moving the file to internal sd and see if it installs from there.
Which version of twrp do you have?
I had the wrong version at first. Goomanager helped a lot.

Or you can try CWM, although flashing that might fail in TWRP as well. I've had issues with TWRP over the course of time, but never with CWM.

How do you update TWRP through goo manager? Sorry fairly new to this , I got the fail also when trying to install the beans 12 build.
GooManager => settings => install openRecoveryScript
I'm running CM 11 nightlies, usually the latest.. I've been running CWM 6.0.4.4 for as long as I can remember after initially rooting/loki patching my phone.
Last week, Rom manager notified me that there was an update to CWM, 6.0.4.7. I thought "cool" - and I flashed it via Rom manager, which reported this was a success.
However, whenever I rebooted into recovery, I still had CWM 6.0.4.4. I tried again, fail. Decided to clean flash my next nightly and try again. Same thing. Could not get Rom manager to update.
I flashed over to Twrp using goo manager which worked fine. I used Twrp to flash over to Philz touch which worked fine.. anytime I use Rom manager now though, it seemingly does nothing even though it reports a success. For example, if I am on TWRP and use rom manager to flash the latest CWM, I'll be met with a success but a reboot into recovery leaves me still with TWRP and no CWM.
I guess I'm just wondering if anyone can help me figure out what's going on -- I know I've seen others at least in the CM forum post about Rom manager acting similarly, but I also hear reports that it works fine for others. Ultimately I just ended up making a 6.0.4.7 flashable zip of my own to upgrade but I'd rather get things figured out vs make a new flashable zip anytime an updated version of CWM comes out.

Where do you get the 6.0.4.7 zip? I've only been able to find the .img file on the rom manager/cwm website...
Going back to my htc days n adb using it was fastboot flash flash {recovery name}.img. maybe using something like flashimgui or flashify.. just thoughts of course other than that u would need to convert to a zip file

Nice! Flashify does it beautifully. CWM touch even. I cannot believe I'm just now trying this app!
What's been improved between 6.0.4.4 & 6.04.7?

Nothing immediately apparent, I'm just OCD about running the latest/greatest.
Hi -
I'm having trouble getting recovery installed on my Verizon S4 (I545VRUMDK). Here's the details:
1. Flashed back to stock
2. Applied root
3. Installed GooManager 2.1.3
4. Within GooManager run Install OpenRecoveryScript
5. I then get a 10 sec countdown and nothing happens
So it looks like it wanted to install openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-jfltevzw.img. I have the file, how can I install it manually? I found a tool that converts the img file into a tar file for ODIN, but it failed when I tried applying in ODIN. I don't see any fastboot methods for the S4 either.
Thx in advance for any advice.

Don't use Goo or ROM Manager.
Use Flashify from the play store. It's updated regularly and works great with our Loki'd S4s .

Awesome....Thank You!!!
Hey Guys,
I have looked through some of the other posts related to this issue for other phones, but still cannot get recovery installed
Was going to update to the newest Hyperdrive, but decided to ODIN stock and then reroot etc
1. My phone is MDK so I went with the Sticky on how to root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290798
2. Obtained root successfully (SU installed (binaries updated), Root Checker checks out fine, Also installed SuperSU just in case(Updated Binaries))
3. Downloaded and installed Goo.im Manager to have to it install TWRP for wins --- Heres where the issues occurred
--- Error message ---
No recoveries found for your device
And when I launch the application I get::
Not Found

The requested URL /message was not found on this server.

Attempted Solutions:::
1. I found a post the ROM Manager can do the same so I installed that and set TWRP as the custom recovery (shows successful) -- but if I choose boot to recovery it still goes to default android recovery
2. I cant seem to find it again, but I had a XDA post on how to install TWRP with ODIN for I545 --- this also did not work as I receive an error on one of the security checks
Any help you have would be greatly appreciated!!!
I miss having a custom ROM :crying:
I don't have an MDK phone so I can't be 100% sure, but I think I read that Goo manager and Rom manager don't work for our phones. People are saying to use Flashify.

Like Riker said ROM manager and Goo haven't been working correctly for the Verizon S4.
Go to the store and grab Flashify. It's very easy to use.

The all in one method for root also has an option of installing either twrp or cwm.
Thank you guys I used Flashify and install TWRP successfully, am not hear a computer where I can try the second All in One option with, but will keep that bookmarked in case I choose to ODIN stock that looks pretty straight forward also..
Again Thanks!!!!
I love being root, love the android experience
