No. Not with the touch keys. Your only option without a custom kernel is NoLED. If you want to use the touchkeys, right now, you must use a kernel that supports it... which means a custom kernel, as the stock kernel from Samsung does NOT currently support it.

There is a kernel for xperia active that supports this?
I think mesa and panik kernel support these functions, correct me if I'm wrong
but still not able to run the swap ... I can run swapper only in fat32
Also rage has swap but need to put the script for it in init.d, but tbh there really is no point in using swap...
I need a solution because I love the MIUI rom but after some time of use is heavy and slows

(Q?)..Swap support through init.d

I am wondering if there is any method with which i can activate swap support as my kernel doesnt support it.
But i have heard that with init.d u can modify kernel settings
Is it possible?
If yes than how?
Any guide or script please
I am on stock ics 4.04 with mtk 6577 based phone and has 512mb ram
Anyone
Implementing a swap file in cache then use an initial.d script would solve your problem in this case, what I'm questioning is does this really work without kernel support?
Look into BetterMultitaskingFix by mattiadj in the int galaxy s3 forum (use google), he did made something similar.

I could be wrong, but I am quite certain your kernel has to support swap in order to use it. The only thing you could do via init.d is enable a swap file on boot. Such were the findings of my research.
How do you know your kernel does not support swap? I think most stock 4.0.4 have it; its just not enabled by default. Did you use the 'free' command in terminal?
