[Q] st15i audio problem - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

I got an xperia mini from my friend to do something with the touch buttons (i fixed it with a recalibration), but i found an another problem:
If i connect my earphone, it isn't working all i hear is a clicking noise (all time when earphone is connected)
I used PC Companion to update to .62 but that didn't solve the problem
Is this some kind of software problem? (maybe a similar calibration problem) or i can put it to the floor and start step-dancing on it because it's hardware failure?
also i can't unlock the bootloader, it says it isn't unlockable is there any free way to change this?
Thanks
netpok

It may be hardware problem in case of ear phones
For bootloader check the service menu.

He said, is not unlockable.
If it says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No, then you need to use paid method, as fastboot needs to be enabled on your phone.

Problem with front-speaker

Hi all!
I have a problem with my mini pro and would be most thankfull, if anyone could help.
Since a while now, my front speaker is not working anymore. I am using my phone with an unlocket bootloader, custom kernel and custom rom. First I thought this might have to do with that, since I first noticed it after trying an ICS beta (CM9). I did go back to SE-kernel and also restored everything with SEUS, but nothing worked. I have used various kernels and roms since, but my front speaker has not been working again.
Today I got a new speaker and changed it myself. Unfortunately, this still did not bring any changes, no sound at all.
Now I am a bit clueless, if this is really a hardware-issue or could be software related after all??
If any of you has any idea on the topic, it would be great.
All the best,
Jonathan

Bro I had the same issue with my phone.. It is the flex which goes from the motherboard to the lcd part (upper half of the slide) which might be damaged probably causing no connection to the front speaker.. U get it replaced by the SE serice center.. Thats the only way.. hope it helps..

Hi there, first of all, dissasemble your cellphone, here you have the service manual, it has everything you could need to make a hardware rapair, including dissasemble and reassemble videos. http://www.cpkb.org/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_E10i_Xperia_X10_mini_service_manual
Once you obtained acces to the speaker, test it, you can do it taking a wire with a 3.5 plug on one end, and bare wires on the other end, by plugin it on an mp3 player and making sound going trough the speaker. If your speaker works, you will have to take the schematics from the service manual, follow the circuit and locate the failure. Most common failures are a flex broken or pressure contacts failure but you can have problems like this one, that are more difficult to find and solve http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1472440. If your speaker doesn't works, just replace it.
Any problem just say it
Sorry, The service manual for The mini pro is here! http://www.cpkb.org/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_U20_Xperia_X10_Mini_Pro_service_manual

Thank you all very much for your replies!
It sounds like you all do believe it must be a mechanical problem. I allready changed the fron speaker by myself, but it is still not working. I will see how the flex looks!
But it is good to know, none of you thinks, it could be something with the custom rom/kernel
same problem for me man!
have you solved the problem after all?
i've tried to check with a tester and it seems that there isn't signal on the two contacts of the speaker...so i think the problem isn't the speaker but it is on some connection!! (maybe the main plan connector that connect the keyboard part with the sceen part)

[HELP!] Wifi, Bluetooth and FM Radio not working

Hi guyz,
Above radio services suddenly stopped working on my phone . WiFi and Bluetooth even start, but FM Radio apk starts, but can never find a station.
Any kind of fix or workaround? I am desperately, I'm on tha road most of time working and without these services my phone is near useless.
Running stock ICS kernel, Rom and baseband.

Just do a settings reset and see if it helps. (no data will be lost)
If it doesn't work, do a factory reset. (take back up before doing that).
If even that doesn't work, repair the phone software using PCC, or flash the ftf using Flashtool.
Thanks,
Rick

Thanks bro, but we got no success. Seems like the antenna is deatached... is that a possibility?

Then I think you should take it to the nearest service center... And yes, it's a possibility that the antenna got deattached somehow. Or maybe just it doesn't work correctly.
Seems it is a flat cable problem. Gonna replace it today, thanks, guyz.

[Q] Skype mic volume

I tried a Skype test call with my XTZ. The volume of my mic was extremely low. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks
Same problem for me :-/

If I'm corect, the mic is placed at the top if the tablet, next to the infrared sensor. That might be part of the reason why it captures poor audio.

same here
I just bought the tablet and I have the same issue. Quite disappointing I say, for a high end device. As the sound in the camera video recording is fine, I can only hope this is a software issue that will be fixed with an update.
I also have this problem. Emailed Sony support, we'll see what happens.
Sony confirmed that the device is faulty and have asked me to return it. Took a while to get through to anyone useful, though. The number I eventually used (in the UK) was 020 8762 5800. That's Sony Mobile Support. I explained the problem and they emailed me return instructions.
So if you have this problem, your device is faulty and you should contact Sony and get it repaired under the warranty.
Just got my SGP321 and discovered this annoying issue (yes, i'm on the latest fw .307)

I have tried different versions of cyanogenmod . All had the issue including the current version cm 11 nightly. Is it a hardware defect or a software? I have lost warranty on this thing so I'm hoping for a magic app or a cm update that addresses the issue. Is there anything out there?
i have same issue on cm11... can anyone help?
same problem with bluetooth headset....
Any help on this? Damn it Sony

Bluetooth Issue...

Speaking to my sister yesterday she has an O2 sony Xperia Z2 she's had on an upgrade and it keeps rebooting and resetting itself and won't connect to her car's bluetooth, she's a bit miffed because she's now passed the 2wk return the handset option so she's gotta keep the phone, its running android 4.2.2.
I have a HTC and root and run custom roms but not familiar with Sony at all, thinking about looking into it and rooting her phone for her if it might help with the issue's she has, is it fairly easy ?
And does anyone know if the bluetooth thing is fairly common issue ? and can be rectified with a custom rom...
Cheers

its common because sony had a big manufacturing issue with the release of Z2
any issues with the phone should be covered by sony if you have reset the phone
try downloading sony pc companion to your computer
onces thats done go to support zone, and click repair device
from there on folow the instructions
if the device still persists with this problem, Contact sony Support as All Xperia devices come with a 2 year warrenty

The earphone jack has gone kaput. The same thing happened to me thrice. The service center replaced the jack and all seems fine for now.
I had re-locked the bootloader (Code 2) & flashed stock + remove unlocked bootloader logo before submitting the device to the service center. They never bothered to check the bootloader status
Thnks ..
I have found a solution.. There is a little metal thing nearly out of the jack... Just pull out.. Its like gold color...
In any case I will change the jack

Will unlocking the bootloader will void the warranty of the hardware also ??(as Earphone jack comes into hardware i think )
My bootloader was unlocked when this happened to me. I reflashed stock+locked bootloader & removed bootloader unlocked warning logo before taking the device to the service center. They replaced the earphone jack. The process took 8 days & i was not charged anything for the repair. I doubt they check the bootloader status code in the bootloader.
Thanks bro. Worked for me..I have seen a youtube video and found the same solution as wriiten by u. Then i made a try and it worked very nice. @sonrics1993
