Friend got this case, played with it a little bit, not too bad. Allows you to undock and carry it like a folio or dock without removing the entire case. Think I might try it, but I wanted to know if anyone else already had.

I once saw a thread for a MDA cover, it actually goes on the fone, the pictures they had showed that it was white. goes on like skin i beleive it was made of silicon. and i saw it on here once and i want to buy it now but i cant find the thread for it. does anyone know where i can find it? or know of something similar that works good? thank you
I got mine at pda-den.
Thanks =)
i found it. thanks. but quick question the one on here has a clear screen. does it work good??
screen
It is a polycarb or plexiglass flip. It's fine, just prone to scratching like all the others.
Isn't there a version without the flip?

not that I know of.
I actually bought that MDA case and really had a tough time making it stay on (just the back part).
It appears that the back part is too small... I actually ended up breaking the little "anchor" that is supposed to clip on by the spacebar. For a while I tried to just tape it on, but ended up giving up... the case is just sitting in a drawer in my desk now...
overall, I was pretty displeased with the fit of the case...
I have tried two different clear cases so far...
This soft case (which actually came in as yellowish -as if it was really old or around smoke):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220515357159&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
and this hard case (which cracked without even being dropped which I am still trying to figure out):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120508552504&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I liked the hard case because it was purely clear and not yellowish like the soft one, but I liked the soft ones material more at first, now I would like either one but if it is a hard case I would like a tough yet not too thick case...
The reason I would like a clear case is because I have an all white G1 and it is still looking nice so I would like to 'let it show off itself' besides having a case to 'beautify' it.
I see a lot of other clear hard cases on ebay, but I am worried I will end up buying an extremely weak one again... any ideas? anyone with any experience in these? Even any recommendations for something NOT clear would be fine too... ideas?
So I've noticed that since the backplate of the Atrix is all plastic, it gets pretty slippery and wants to fall out of my hands a lot. Are there any rubberized backplate replacements for the Atrix? I'm looking for something similar to the texture of the back of the Droid 2. I really don't like cases because I feel that they add so much girth to the phone. I'm also open to any DIY solutions as well.
I know someone used some type of rubber spray paint or something to give it a textured rubber feel. I'll try to dig up a link.
*edit*
Bingo!

Good luck my friend
I may give that a try. What I would like to do is get a stock backplate replacement and spray that, just in case I don't like it or I screw it up.

I saw that Bell in Canada will be carrying spare backs and also some 3rd party rubberized backs. you might want to look there first.
EDIT: after I thought about it, it's either "rubberized" or "ruggedized". either way, it's non-oem

@neer2005
I have seen that one floating around Google but I feel its a little sketchy since every website has the exact same low res pic. I may wait a bit to see if anyone else gets it.
Hi guys, i've noticed recently when connecting the dock that the two slots on the bottom of the twblet are becoming slightly chipped/scratched. Does this happen to anyone else? Its only a mijor thing but its slightly annoying.
Mine's not chipping/scratching, yet. But, then again, if you saw how carefully I dock/undock, you would understand why. Looking forward to my first scratch/chip, so I can relax a bit and stop being so careful...
One of my slots has a slight nick on it from the dock. But you really have to go looking for it to see it. I would suggest just being careful how well you line up the keyboard and the tablet when you connect them in order to minimize any scratches that would annoy you. There are alignment arrows on the center of the dock and the bottom of the tablet.
well after dropping my first one from about a height of 4 feet (in the neoprene sleeve in the accessory section) and watching with horror as it bounced on an edge...and luckily was able to return it due to other issues....looked with less fear...
then my wife accidently dropped the new tablet..again in said neoprene sleeve...and although dinged on the edge..not nearly as bad as the first.
Moral? the harder you try to keep something pristine..the more likely it will get blemished faster :S
Having something like the dock feature..you are fundamentally going to get scuffs...it's the way it works when you introduce metal on metal.
worse case is when you take out the dock...and the gel's are available...put one on after undocking..that's what i plan on doing..as this thing is a slick bugger.
So I completely broke my note's screen when it fell off the back of a truck and got run over by a car and when I get my $200 replacement part and fix it, I need to get a good case that will help prevent things like that happening again. Not that I think this will happen again, but it's that my Note had absolutly no protection last time.
So I am wondering if anyone knows of a good looking case that isn't just a "slim" or "thin" skin case.
Thanks!

I have http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0076R36KQ/ref=oh_details_o04_s01_i00
and i like it more then any other case ive owned. Only major downside for me is its a ***** to get off so if you swap batteries often not a good case. Ive sacrificed because it feels secure and ive dropped it a few times.
"Otter box defender".......done
Amazon has them, for $35.00/$45.00...
It wont protect you from a car running over it, but for the daily wear and tear, with a drop or two, it's rock solid....g
