i have recently installed nerodroid rom v9..
The screen is set to go to sleep in 15 seconds in the settings.
The screen DOES go to sleep after two minutes but wakes up by itself almost immediately thereafter.
The flashing on and off of the bright screen at night is driving me crazy, not to mention the battery drain.
plz help..

My wife's XPeria Mini Pro, purchased new several weeks ago, is doing the same thing. It came with 2.1 installed on it. The power button will put it to sleep just fine, but then it will wake up either within seconds or sometimes minutes. Is some process running on there that is waking this thing up?

Does your wife phone is Xperia Mini Pro and not the Xperia X10 Mini Pro?Because Xperia Mini Pro got an android 2.3 Gingerbread preinstalled and Xperia X10 Mini Pro got android 1.6 / 2.1 android preinstalled

For a short bit last night, I did put Airplane mode on and it didn't seem to do anything then, but I'm not sure if it would have if I'd have kept it on longer (wife was expecting a text).

My phone made me a sad panda recently when it stopped booting correctly - on startup it vibrates as it should, the screen lights up, but does nothing more - it does NOT reach the sony-ericsson logo that comes up, and the light goes off. It continues to repeat this loop about once every five or so seconds.
Obviously, not being a total moron (i'm only like, 40% moron), my first thought was to reflash the software, but I can't, because every time I connect the phone to flashtool, it disconnects a couple of seconds later and obviously, the flashing fails.
Can you help me find my smile?

Anyway if you can't flash it because it keeps disconnecting, you should have some hardware problems with your phone, for sure.

my girlfriend's x10 mini doesn't seem to power on:
- connecting it to the charger doesn't light up the led,
- trying to power it up pressing power button + center button and / or the side keys, still doesn't power it on...
The phone is just 5 months old, has never been rooted or upgraded with custom ROMs like other x10s I purchased. It worked without problems until this morning ...
Can anyone help? we must send it to the SE support?

Try a different cable to charge the phone, if that doesn't work, you should still have warranty, so having it repaired should be no problem.
exact same thing happed to my girlfriends x10 mini
2.1 last over the air update, never rooted, never flahed
the usb cable is fine, my motorola milestone is charging unfortunately the phone is over 2 years old.
does any one have an idea what i could try?

I have some problems with my Xperia Mini ST15 running ICS 4.0.4 stock, sometimes it gets overheat and freezes, and all I can do is remove the battery and then put it back and turn on the phone, I've noticed that the problem appears when I'm charging the phone.
I don't have the problem with the "auto-pressing" touch buttons, it's only overheating and freezing.
This happened to me yesterday and today in the morning, about 3 times, in this moment the phone is cold, I think it's because I'm not charging it :silly:
Any suggestions please?

What rom and kernel do you use? i think problem may be because of your kernel, it's not compatible with your rom, try use another kernel
About 2 months ago my kid cousin dropped my new just opened from box Sony xperia u into a glass of water.
Of course I immediately dried it and it was working perfectly fine for about a month until it suddenly offed itself one day.
I held the power button to turn it back on and the screen flashed SONY then XPERIA then normally it goes straight to home screen but in this case it kept on looping SONY then XPERIA.
I took out the battery and SIM and left all to dry overnight, the next morning put everything back in and phone worked fine.
A week later, perpetual turning on happened again and I did the same thing (took everything out and left open overnight) and worked again.
The problem persisted more and more frequently until today, I finally cannot get my phone to turn on properly.
Can anyone help?

water effect does not last a month.. take to repair centre or try to reflash stock rom
Try reflashing the firmware with flashtool and wipe everything when flashing. It could simply be corrupted data

i have a xperia mini pro SK17i, i've got it about one and a half year earlier, it was working fine but suddenly it wasn't charging properly and after i charged it fully, it was finished in 2 or 3 hours. and then it won't even start. every time i start, it starts with a vibration, sony erricson logo comes and the screen goes blank, it starts again and keeps starting again and again unless i take the battery out. so if any one has any suggestion and solution about it, please let me know.
