hey all
i need to return my phone back to t-mobile for a replacement. I want to unroot and get it back to stock.
now i know how to use odin to go back, Its just the files I see on some of the thread are down.
does any one know where can i get all the files needed to odin back to original t-mobile state?
Just download the AIO Toolbox. Has Odin 1.8 (I think that is the version), the pit/tar files and drivers. Links in OP should be up again.
Thanks.
Well apparently the toolbox doesn't work connecting do the phone had to open odin from toolbox and then downgrade and flash stock.
Thanks again

i used the guide for the unbricking the fascinate and the files that came along with it. the files were I used dl09.tar.md5 and atlas pit 2.2. odin 1.7 and even 1.3. I checked all the right boxes and even checked the hash. when i boot up, however, it takes me back to the original samsung's recovery and thats it. what am i doing wrong? am i using the wrong image?
There is a post some where containing an all in one stock di01 odin file. I would link but I am on my mobile app. Just search di01 you should find it.

thank you!! hope it works
My question is very simple. I was installing CyanogenMod and I got as far as installing ClockWorkMod.
Then I change my mind. Is there a way to uninstall clockworkmod? I would like my Vibrant to go back to stock. I did not get a chance to root the device. I was going to root it next but then I changed my mind.
Any help for my vibrant phone is greatly appreciated.
If memory serves me correctly you'll be fine if you didn't root the phone. You should only be able to put CWM when the phone has been rooted.
If you need, you can always odin back to stock just in case!

Good news. I never rooted my phone. I skipped that step. I did not know I had to root first. I was trying to do it afterwards. It was so complicated that I gave up.
So, is there a way to put my phone back to stock? I would kove to Odin back to stock. Is there a how to?

If you never rooted your phone than you already have stock. You don't have to do anything.

well, the problem is that every time I reboot the phone I see a boot splash that is not supposed to be there.
It says: Overstock and then underneath it says: smaller, lighter, faster. That is the screen that I would like to remove.
Any help on that?

Dude this is awesome. I also found a video that would guide me through the back to stock. The same way u described. it looked really simple. But it does not want to flash back. When i am in doing and choose the same.pit file and the tar. I hit the start button nothing happens. :-( It just hangs in there. Am i doing something wrong?

The stock ROM is on here, but you can connect to Kies and in the Tools Menu use Emergency Firmware Recovery. This will wipe everything and put a clean version of the current ROM on the device. In this case ICS. Several members have reported doing the upgrade that way and it worked.
OK, so I was trying to unroot my phone and some how managed to screw it up and now I have a system software not authorize on my screen. I can get to odin mode but I have one minor problem. I cant find a odin program that will install on my pc.... -.- I have files I have dl from other threads to unroot and restore my phone using odin, but when it comes to dl odin files, either the link is no longer available or it wont install. I get some message saying odin3.ini with a bunch of asian symbols after that. Can any one help me on this please.

Odin does not install to your computer, it simply launches.
What OS are you on? If you're on Windows Vista or 7 it should work perfectly, I don't know if it'll work on XP. On Mac I believe you use Heimdall. On Linux you use Heimdall.

The toolkit can be dangerous just because it had an unreleased firmware (it was what Samsung used to test the phone before they started selling it) that was the "return to stock" firmware, and I'm unsure if the creator ever removed it so it still probably has it, and was completely unrootable by all of our exploits, unable to be unlocked, and unable to be flashed in Odin so there is no way to get back to stock.
While the other things in the toolkit haven't had as many big complaints as the "return to stock" feature I still wouldn't use it. If it has that there is no telling what else is going on behind the scenes.

I know when I used it for Verizon it had 3 options I believe. But if he has the files downloaded already then I was simply recommending to see if this woukd run Odin on his pc.

This is the thread for droidstyle's guide to restore to stock. Has Odin download and all necessary files. Shangrila is right, be careful with that toolkit. Personally, I would stay completely away from it.
