Can anyone repair a broken SIM card slot? I somehow broke my slot when removing my simcard.
Take it to ATT or call Samsung. It's gotta still be under warranty.

I have a Media pad s7 with a broken sim tray. I was using a sim adapter to change a mini sim to full size sim and it got stuck when I was trying to remove it, so sadly the bit of extra force needed, damaged to sim tray and it now has broken contacts. Does anyone know where I can send it for repair. There does not sem to be a service centre in Australia so I would be happy to send it to any other country for repair.
Thanks

My SIM tray is also broken, but not my fault. The service made me an offer 380 US $ .. i think it is cheaper to buy an other device.
For me ..no more Huawei
I was just testing a different SIM card, and as I put the original Verizon SIM card back in, for some odd reason it got locked automatically.
The Verizon store is only 5 minutes away by walking from my location, so I went there and asked for the PUK code.
But as the clerk tried retrieving the PUK, she said it is yet to be available for confirmation and that it will take approximately one to two weeks...and I have to leave the device with them since they don't know why the SIM card has no PUK provided.
I just told them to email me once the PUK is ready and brought my phone back. I had accidentally locked my phone with a South Korean carrier before but as for that incident, a simple reset to the whole system got the job done. But this is the first time I have ever had a SIM card from Verizon, so I don't know if there are other ways to unlock the SIM card lock or reset it
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks
Mine did this without removing the SIM, completely locked up on me, this was after I was getting "No SIM card" errors. Verizon tried replacing the SIM card first, but it locked up again before I got out of the store. So they just DOA'd the phone and gave me a new one with new SIM card. Haven't had another issue.

Same thing was happening to me...brought it to Verizon and they gave me the "bad batch of Sims from old supplier line"...they replaced the sim and I haven't had the issue since.

When I bought mine the sim card in the phone would not activate. So they had to give me a new one right away.
I'm starting to get the no sim errors. We will see how it goes from here

I work for Verizon and have heard of a few customers with the no sim error. For the most part just pulling it out, cleaning it, and putting it back in fixed it. As far as the OP the experience you described is extremely weird. Please tell me you didn't give them your phone and you are without. That would be really sucky and pointless IMO. Generally the PUK can be retrieved through customer care. In my experience it is much easier and way faster to just swap out the sim for a new one so that is what I do for customers. Any corporate Verizon should replace a sim for you for free upon request. If they are ever weird about it just walk outside, pull out your sim, throw it on the ground and go back in saying you lost your sim card. lol
Thanks for the concerns, but I already solved the issue on November 28th by simply replacing the SIM card. Strange strange stuff...

Lucky lucky you! I'm on my 2nd DNA and 5th SIM Card! And they have a new phone on it's way to my house to try again! The brand new SIM I activated yesterday lasted 3 hours before it dropped out with ,"No SIM Card"; error. I love this phone but it does me no good if I'm not receiving calls and texts........
UPDATE 1/5/13: The 3rd phone that Verizon has sent me seems promising! 13 days without the slightest hitch in my giddy-up! So far so good which makes me happy because I really like this phone. Strange how many issues I had with the other two phones though........... we'll see.

Hi anyone experienced this?
I experienced this when I tried to remove my sim but the sim got stuck and I had to use some force.
Now it won't read sim anymore come up with sim error and sim card invalid. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
What should I do surely it's defective ? I applied bit of force not enough to break it or damage it.
You could try if it accepts someone else's SIM card and check if it accepts that card. And you could try your SIM card in another phone. But from the looks of it it does look like you did break the SIM or the SIM slot. It is possible that the card getting stuck actually was getting stuck on one of the pins and it might be out of place now.
If it is actually a defect in the phone I fear you will have to take it to a shop to get it repaired.
In the end returned it and bought Note 2 LTE. Good move glad I did it.

I had the same issue and took the phone back to Rogers. They replaced it for me with a brand new one.
Hi guys, I have the following problem. I cut the card, insert it, then of course it stuck and I remove it with the tape. Then somehow spring jammed the slot and I cannot enter sim card again (very good design by the way
Is there any trick to fixed it or I should already send my brand new phone to repair?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Anyone? Can I just remove that spring from sim slot? If so do you know how?
Take it to repair-shop and say that it was broken when you got it.
This is wrong section for this btw.

I have the maxx, and for the last few months my sim card pops itself out of its holder, and my phone flips out and looses signal and says no sim card inserted. It has gotten so bad that I have to keep an otter box case on it to hold the sim door shut. I am rooted and rom'md, and I bought it last June so I do not know what my options/fixes are. Has anyone had this problem before? Should I just unroot/return to stock and try to get a new maxx? I do not have the money for a new phone and my upgrade is late this year...opinions? Thanks guys.

Just replace it if it's on a warranty. It's a mechanical problem, it shouldn't be a problem even if you return it rooted or with a custom rom. (depending on the terms of the warranty and where you live)
Have you stuck someone elses Sim card in and seen if it stays? It should lock in like the sd card, so i would check with a different Sim card first, maybe your cards tab is worn out.
