Is this a serious problem? Happened right after S-OFF - HTC Amaze 4G

If I use anything other then CWM 5.0.2.6, I can not mount my SD card. This happened right after I S-OFF. I even tried the new 4EXT (paid 3 bucks) and I still can not mount the SD Card. But the internal SD card gets mounted automatically even when it says its not mounted.
How can I fix this?
I already SuperCID and I S-OFF as well. I was runing ICS 4.0.3 Leak but I just recently installed Revolution 4.0.3 rom.

Use recovery to reformat your sd card, then it should be recognized again.

I had the same issue, plug in your sd card into your computer, format it with the default settings, and then it will work fine, if you want an extra precaution, format it again in your recovery after you followed these steps

Make sure you format your SD card in FAT32 .... ON your computer if possible....
I have been having SD card troubles myself.
If everything ppl are telling you on here doesn't work, try buying a 2GB card and trying it out.

[Q] Modified Micro SD question

Okay so I bought an HTC inspire from AT&T about 6 months ago. I loved it of course and I rooted it. It turned out perfectly fine and in order to get root I had to format my micro SD. Now, I broke my Inspire because i dropped it and cracked the screen. I bought an used Aria from a friend. It's unrooted and i put my formatted micro SD card in it. The question is, do i need to reformat it to be able to root the Aria? and can you reset the micro SD to stock?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

No you don't need to reformat it. What do you mean by: "reset the micro SD to stock"?
P.S.: You should have posted this in the Aria's forum - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=680.
it should be must post to right forum move it please

So i can normally go through all the steps again to root my Aria?

Yes you can. I recommended you take out your important data and make a backup. As maybe some of your apps is moved to SD, it can't be used anymore. So it will just waste your storage there.

Sd Card...

Hi to all...
I'm in the process to install the new Energy ICS and my phone can't mount my sd card when in recovery 4Ext... I can't go further! I tried my card in my DHD and it sees it no problem... I tried formatting the card without any luck... Any ideas?
32GB class 10
Update... I tried an 8Gb and a 16 GB and nothing works so I guess it's not the card... My phone doesn't see any SDCard... Kinda strange...!

I can't... The backup is on the SDCard and the phone doesn't see any sdcard... I tried the internal storage and when I try to mount it, it says Error mounting... I'm pretty much stucked there if I can't get my internal ou external storage to work...
I tried for the 5th time to format the card and the internal storage with 4ext recovery and it worked... Did exactly the same thing 5 times and it only worked the last time... Go figure...!!!
Thanks for the help!!

Hrm... Not sure. To confirm, you can't see or mount either the external SD, OR the internal SD? (When plugged into your computer, right?)

Phone will not boot with "ANY" sdcard inserted.

So after my first attempt at doing the S-off trick, then phone rebooted to a black screen. So I was about to panic but I calmed myself and removed the battery and usb cable. Still no boot. Then I removed the sdcard and low and behold the phone booted, back to the green arrows. So I tried again. I put the sdcard back in the phone and started the process over. Still black screen after reboot and I have to remove the sdcard to get it to boot. So I flashed the stock kernel and recovery to see if that helped get the sdcard back. Nope the phone will not turn on if there is "ANY" sdcard inserted in the phone before power up. The phone see the sdcard okay if you put it in after boot up. HBOOT will not see the sdcard period. It freezes when you put the sdcard in. So I am not sure what to do.
i would look here...
Looks like you need to format the sd card
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623805
Done that about seven million times. I have tried five different sdcards too. My problem is different. That phone will boot just fine but wont mount the card. Mine will not boot with the card inserted, but one the phone boots with the card out I can put it back in and everything but hboot will see it.
It shouldn't matter because that sd should be a spare sd. Consider it corrupted now (which it could be if the format didn't go well) and use your main sd card that u were using before trying to do s=off

I dont think thats it... He said he tried five other sd cards.. Its pretty odd that it wont boot with it in but it will detect it if placed in after.
So you say the phone still recognizes the sd, so r u saying the phone still boots all the way up, like into the rom, or how do u kno its recognizing iy?
And if not can u get in to recovery?

I can put it in after boot and android and CWM will recognize it, but hboot hangs when the card is inserted. I found this out because I was going to flash the shipping rom.

Sounds like a warranty claim begging to be used. That problem isn't even been reported by anyone else. Make it easy and get a phone that works. Sounds like the sd card slot shorts something out on boot with a card in there.

similar problem with s-off trick
similar thing happened to me while doing the s off trick. It was interrupted so I had to go back and redo until it finally said success and gave me S-OFF. The process itself corrupted my SD card. I reformatted but it was still no good. I could boot into recovery and load a few different roms after writing them to the SD card but was stuck on the three arrows during boot. I read somewhere someone had the problem and did as they suggested. I flashed two different recoveries and alternated between them flashing my roms. After about seven times the phone finally rebooted. Also noticed that something wrote an empty lost directory to the SD card when it finally worked

[Q] Sandisk 64 gb Micro sd card

I just put one in the phone and viewed that under storage it sees it ok. Good sign I guess since I read many people cannot even get phone to read it or see it properly. Does anyone know what if anything I need to do next? I am running Beans build 4 and its own rom. I read that Perseus maybe an issue with this card so I figured not to change roms for now at least.
If you are going to use CWM, you will need to reformat it to FAT32 (it is exfat now)
If not, you are good to go the way it is.

Two things with these cards:
1: back it up religiously, I have had two of them go bad on me.
2: if that procedure for formatting it won't work for you (some versions of windows can't do this by default), then use EaseUS Partition Master. That is a free DL and works super.

I tried this method and it is quick to format the ex fat to fat32. Once you click on the picture the GUI exe file will download to your PC. Click on the exe file and a pic of the drive where your card is located will pop up. Mine was in the g drive make sure you got the right location up and then hit format. In like 5 seconds this thing will reformat your card to fat 32 and "BAMM," your in fat city.

Problem is Bill the only drive this program or any other method I have tried does not see the usb drive. It only see for example the C drive. The only way it see the drive is when I put a very small sized SD card it it. Seems the 64 gb sized card is the maun issue. The card does work in the phone and can at least be seen though.

You can't exactly... the "internal storage" in your screen shot is the /data partition for installing applications, that is the normal place apps go. Under normal circumstances you cannot install apps to your internal (12.5GB) storage, it is considered external storage to the operating system, hence why it is in /sdcard0 and your real microSD card is /sdcard1. To use these areas for apps you must use a tool like App2SD, Link2SD, or similar app, and only some apps can be moved, if it has a widget it cannot be moved and there are a few other rules that it will ward you about.
Okay.... So I did what you said and tried link2sd, but when moving apps to SD I get an 'INSUFFICIENT STORAGE ERROR'
And isn't there suppose to be an 'move to SD card' option in this app?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No, not in KitKat anyways, it doesn't have the SD card support that ICS had, Google hates SD cards for some reason, and has been limiting SD card support more and more in each Android version since Ice Cream Sandwich.
As far as the error in Link2SD, not sure, I haven't used it in years... Sorry.

How do you go about formatting the internal sd card. I just went from 4.2 to 4.4.4 and now TWRP and CWM recoveries will not mount and recognize the internal card. I can't even access the internal card to format it or anything else. How do I go about fixing this. 4.4.4 is pretty sweet.
