My screen has a crack in it and needs to be repaired. Has anyone dealt with a company or individual who they could recommend to fix this?
It's not covered by a warranty since i purchased it from e-bay. Please help - my little baby doesn't work very well with a cracked screen!

I think I've searched all sites I know of but am still unable any that offer faceplates or complete housings for our Touch HD (yes, I'm one of those who have the issue with the coating of the faceplate)
Does anyone have a good reliable source which could have them yet?

for anyone reading this.. i think he means.. replacement housing for the phone.. the actual pieces from the phone.. NOT extra phone cases or covers..

probably not what you'll want to hear, but your probably not going to find anywhere other than htc for replacement housing, they'll keep those moulds well under raps.
then your faced with the warranty validity if you manage to source some parts. who's ur service provider, and i'm sure you'll get a warranty replacement due to your devices freezing up / locking all the time. contact them and moan!
i'm sure someone, somewhere will be able to replace due to its software faults!

E-bay is a good source for replacement parts.
Sometimes you can get real good bargains.

I got my new case from Shenzhen (free of charge, but my Chinese partners had to pay for it here: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/218220985/housing_for_HTC_touch_HD.html ), but I still haven't had time to visit a service center
i recently cracked my screen on my htc hero yet everything looks and works fine except for the crack?
is there anyway i can get a replacement on it or get it fixed? I know we are from different countries but any ideas?

You can buy full housings off eBay, dunno about just the screen... Either way, you would need to open up the whole thing yourself. Maybe HTC can do it for you, I don't know...

Don't know exactly for the hero, but when I broke my screen from my diamond
I found some repair centers on the internet. Picked one who actually had a shop
and got it fixed for 100,- (euro's)
Considering the screen costs 80,- that's not to expensive. I would be suprised if the hero wasn't fixable in that way

Unfortunately it has now caught my Tablet bad - the display is broken, glass is "cracked" (i wanted to post a picture but i cant because i have less than 10 post on that forum)
The device is about 3-4 months old. What can you recommend? New glass order and give someone a solder? Send it to Archos? or just sell it?

That sounds bad. You should contact archos and ask them what to do. If they don't take it to warranty, you could try getting a new glass and installing it. Nobody propably wants to buy it.

I've just cracked mine whilst I was on holiday (collapsed a baby buggy with the tablet in the undertray!)
Anyway the screen is badly cracked and the touchscreen has failed.
I have sent a message to Archos but as it was caused by accidental damage I can't see them being willing to replace and I imagine they will charge a great deal for a repair.
Does anyone know where to source a replacement screen and digitiser?
