Hi all,
I think I've searched all sites I know of but am still unable any that offer faceplates or complete housings for our Touch HD (yes, I'm one of those who have the issue with the coating of the faceplate)
Does anyone have a good reliable source which could have them yet?

for anyone reading this.. i think he means.. replacement housing for the phone.. the actual pieces from the phone.. NOT extra phone cases or covers..
Of course, I need a replacement faceplate. I thought it was clear enough

probably not what you'll want to hear, but your probably not going to find anywhere other than htc for replacement housing, they'll keep those moulds well under raps.
then your faced with the warranty validity if you manage to source some parts. who's ur service provider, and i'm sure you'll get a warranty replacement due to your devices freezing up / locking all the time. contact them and moan!
i'm sure someone, somewhere will be able to replace due to its software faults!

E-bay is a good source for replacement parts.
Sometimes you can get real good bargains.

I got my new case from Shenzhen (free of charge, but my Chinese partners had to pay for it here: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/218220985/housing_for_HTC_touch_HD.html ), but I still haven't had time to visit a service center
So my touch screen stopped working and im figuring its the digitizer because everything else works, boots into OS and everything. Plus i took it apart and the wire was snapped . question is, i have the optimus v but i cannot find ANYWHERE that has a digitizer specific for it. I have found one for the optimus s on ebay, which looks exactly the same, same button holes and everything. will this digitizer work for the optimus v? thanks in advance, this sucks as i do not have a replacement and am broke as a joke at the moment. would be nice just to buy a $22 digitizer instead of a $150 phone. thanks!
an ebay search turned up a variety of optimus parts for a variety of models, I'd say keep an eye on it as their stuff changes daily. LG might be an option for parts, too...
can't answer your hardware compatibility question, I'm afraid, except that the software is compatible and I'd guess that the hardware is also the same way.

Thanks. i ordered the optimus s digitizer off ebay, finally got my ebay account verified so i could buy it now. jesus it took forever . but if u actually open ur optimus v it says on the main board LS 670 which is the model number for the optimus s. so the v is the s with different branding on the front. how funny haha. The part should get here within a week im hoping, shipping from hong kong. ill update the thread accordingly cause im sure im not the ONLY ONE that this has happened to. globaldirectparts.com is the only other place ive found a digitizer specific for the optimus s/v and there site is down due to major shipping delays. this should work tho, ill just have sprint branding on my OV from now on. Im gonna give that LED customization a try on my old front housing to see how it looks then if its nice ill do it on the new one, or maybe not haha it was a frickin hassle to get this new digitizer, i dont wanna do anything to jeopardize the function of the new display. thanks again for the one and only response in days . look forwarding to sharing the good news

I was pretty sure they're the same thing, people on another forum have talked about using lg's updater to flash sprint firmware and only broke their service instead of bricking the phone.
makes me wanna dissect the newest sprint firmware and compare.
edit: I bet if it works ok you can get a sticky, it's important info!

Search there are a number of cracked my screen and replaced it posts that may have more information .

my lcd broke. so i need a new one. but on ebay 54€ that way to much. because the touch screen with frame is 21€ only
would like to know if any one know where to buy a lcd for like 30-35€\$ what ever.
realy need one.
plz realy need one! last time some guy said he bought a new lcd for 30$ but he dont respond to his thread.
plz any one a link? i cant find a cheaper one on ebay then 54€ and that is way to much for this phone

yeah they are now 47€ the cheapest. I found some on other sites but american. for 30$ and one 24€ but shipping 30€ so yeah. I will be using my lg optimus 2x. I dont want to spend 50€ on a new lcd for my lg l9. He isnt worth it. I would pay max 35€ for the lcd

hey hey hey , found this while trolling for a replacement screen , its HALF the price of the one i was looking at last night. I have torn mine apart a while ago , so i looked at the deets on the back and its a match! my NT uses the same part number that is listed on this page and the ad states nook tablet not the NC , i know the NC uses the same LCD but not same digitizer. my Q though is has anyone ordered this replacement before. I see 7 reviews and hope that a few of them are fellow members of this community and can chime in that this is indeed the correct screen and that it shall be plug and play ????!?!?!?!
there seem to not be alot of replacements whether they are OEM or knock off's from china for this tablet which surprises me ..
