Thinking of purchasing a second line - HTC Rezound

I just checked my verizon account and due to work, I have exceeded my minutes by about 200. Right now I have 450 mins, unlimited data, unlimited texting. I get a 20% discount from an old job that I no longer have. I pay 76 dollars a month.
If I simply add unlimited minutes to my plan, will I lose my discount/ unlimited data? Changing my contract worries me quite a bit.
The alternative, would be to get a second phone, probably on sprint. If I were to do that, I would like a phone that has a working cm9 port. The nexus s is antiquated. Any suggestions?

I could be wrong, but I think it's harder to lose unlimited data than changing your minutes. Verizon isn't trying to force people off the plans yet, like AT&T is.

Yes if done correctly you do not have to worry about losing your data because you change your minute plan. And if you talk to someone in customer service they will allow you to change your plan and credit you for the overages if they made it to your bill.

I had the same questions about changing my plan with minutes and texts. I asked the girl at the corp store and she said that it wouldn't effect my unlimited data. I would still ask at your store before doing anything but that's what I got for a answer at mine.

I added a line and changed my plan to a family plan in order to get my rezound for a penny from amazon. All I did was call vzw service directly and I kept my unlimited data no problem.

I've found VZW very good at asking about changes to the account.... just give them a call and ask.... if you don't like what you hear, do go forward with it.

I've changed my plan quite a bit and they always let me keep my unlimited data. Not sure about the discount though.

I wouldnt consider sprint. I hear their network is pretty bad and painfully slow.

You definitely don't have to worry about your unlimited data plan when changing minutes. I did it twice. Call and tell them you want to change minutes and no other changes. Tell them to make sure data stays unlimited. No problem.

You can change your minutes on your My Verizon without any issue. I do it every couple months due to having my mom, middle brother, and girlfriend on my account. Typically we don't go over the 1400 minutes, but when we do I take the $10 bite and bump it up, then change it right back the next cycle.

You won't lose anything and you should've call and up your minutes before you went over. They charge you per minute overages.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium HD

If you have a minute overage on your current cycle just go online and change the plan. Backdate the plan to cover the overages, and you can future date your original plan to start again on the next cycle. Or heck if you're going over the 450 all the time you could just keep the 900 minute plan. It won't remove your unlimited data plan, so change away!

I now have unlimited everything. For some reason I enjoy talking to customer service.

3. Below Plan there is an option to change minutes (under the picture of your phone)
4. Click on the plan you would like
5. Click Next
6. This is where you can change the date either backdate postdate or have it change today.
Hope this helps!
I know its pretty dumbed down but when your job is CS for VZW you kinda get used to having to talk dumb.

Want to get an SG2 but...

Ok, so I want the SG2, but keeping my current contract with AT&T proves to be difficult. If I upgrade with AT&T the SG2 is $199. If I upgrade through walmart letstalk.com $159, amazon wireless $149, deals2buy.com the SG2 is$99.
Talk about some great deal right? Only problem I have is that my contract would change. As many of you may or may not know, AT&T in their infinite wisdom removed their text tiering plan. It used to be something like $5 for 200 text a month, $15 for 1000 and $20 for unlimited. Because I don't text much, I went with the $5 for 200 text. I also opted into the $30 for unlimited data. I have been grandfathered into these options, but if I get the phone from an outside agency I would have to switch to AT&T's "awesome" $25 for 2gb data plan and be left almost without a text option unless I pay $20 for unlimited which is the only plan they have now. When I say I don't text much, I mean I'm barely breaking 80 a month and that's me really trying.
Now I don't use that much data mostly because of my current location. According to my data usage chart, I'm only using about 500mb a month. While the $25 for 2gb might seem like a good idea, I'd like to know that when I relocate within the next 6 months, that I won't have to worry about going over in data usage. When I'm in an area that has a good 3G connection, I watch a lot of videos when I have downtime and you can shoot past 2gb in no time.
I'm sure a lot of you are saying drop AT&T and what not, but the truth be told, I've never had any problems with them over the last 4 years. I think their rates are reasonable and I love the roll over option. So me leaving them is not an option anytime soon at least not until they royale screw me.
Are you 100% sure reseller's require you to change you data plan if you upgrade through them? If its true, then I would spend the extra money and go to an official AT&T store and buy one. I wouldn't sacrifice my unlimited data for anything.
I agree, do anything you can to keep that Unlimited Data plan.
Man the money you save up front would probably be negated over the course of the contract. If you dont have the money now just wait a spell, the price will come down of course after a while.
You should really look into your calling habits though. If you not using over 2gigs ever then you could save money there. Also with unlimited texts comes the free cell to cell deal. Thats any carriers cell not just att, which makes a huge difference. Everyone's situation is a bit different. att is actually pretty good about working with you on stuff like this. I have had them eat HUGE bills. I hate att for my own reasons, but this is one area where I have to concede their worth. Good luck to you. The phone really is bad ass, best phone I have had to date and I have had my fair share.
You are not forced to change data plan I upgraded to infuse 4g and kept data. I probably gnna get gs2 in a week or so. I do have the unlimited data btw.

Yes they do. Once you add the phone to your cart, you have to pick a calling and data plan. While AT&Ts calling plans haven't changed, their data and texting plans have and the resellers websites options have changed to reflect that.

I don't talk on my cell that often that why I like the rollover minutes thing. As for going over 2gb, it can happen because I travel a lot and when I'm not at my remote location, I go over 2gb easily. I don't think saving $5 is feasible just because I'm not consistently going over 2gb every month. Right now I pay $30 for unlimited. If I do go with the 2gb plan, I'll be charged $10 for each gig I go over. With unlimited, I'm covered no matter what the hell happens.

This is true if you do the upgrade through AT&T and not a reseller. AT&T isn't willing to cut me a deal on the phone simply because they don't have to. While I do understand this and I have the money to get the new phone at the price they are offering, it's always good to save a few bucks everynow and again.

While that might be true, I'm not willing to take that chance. Like I said earlier, you are forced to make a choice for a data plan. If making that choice prevents me from switching back to having unlimited, that would be bad. Saving the money on the phone wont' be worth it in the end.
I just did this on Monday. I was on the old $30 unlimited data and the $5 for 200 text plan.
I got mine at Walmart. The rep had to call AT&T to get it activated. They are able to keep the $30 unlimited data but will require you to upgrade your text plan to get it activated.
However, if you immediately call AT&T (611) and talk to a rep, you CAN get your old $5 for 200 text plan back. It will require the rep to ask their supervisor, but they will do it for you.
Went from old AT&T plan from my iPhone 3GS and still have the unlimited and 200 text messages.
Well it sounds like you've got it all figured out then.with all due respect, I don't understand why you even created this thread when you just countered helpful comments and seemed to have answered your own questions.

I just did if you read my post above...
I went to AT&T store and and them if they can give me $50 credit for getting the phone and i must keep my current features unchanged. The sales rep agreed and i walked out the store within 20 min with a phone. i paid $200 plus tax but he credited my account $50 right there.
When I bought my Infuse and kept my $5/200 texting plan and unlimited data - the GSII was bought outright off-contractr so didn't affect my account at all.
AT&T corporate stores are the way to go! They might not have the extreme hardware deals, but their representatives are FAR more competent and honest in my opinion.
I just did ths last night
I just upgraded to the S2 last night at an Att corporate store. The person who was ringinh me up told me the THE SAME THING. I need to change my data plan $30 unlimited and my $5 text plan. I have the same exact services as you do. She kept trying to put it through the system and it kept giving her errors saying that she could give me the data plan but not the text plan. In the end she was able to get it done and I kept everything that i had.
All i can tell you is to tell the rep to try every configuration to see if it goes through. If i remember right she ended up finding the text plan that would work but it was near to the bottom of her list.
It is 100% possible to keep because I was in the same exact situation.
I as well. : /

Complete bull****.
I upgraded @ Best Buy, unlimited data remains.
I don't really text at all so I have no texting plan. I refuse to pay extra for something that costs the network infinitely less the a phone call would have.
You will find that many, if not all representatives will feed you that "Need to Upgrade your plan" line of bull.
It is their JOB! The more people they can trick and fool OFF of their unlimited plans, the more money they can make.
DO NOT EVER BELIEVE THEM!!!
My Best Buy store had some cash register issues when I picked up my SGSII. We had to complete the upgrade over the phone, in store. Can't count the number of times the AT&T guys said I had NO existing Data-Plan. I called Foul, as I've been on the Corporate data plan (for office email) from the beginning.
Now if you try to go the order online / nonhuman route, all bets are off.
I upgraded at Walmart IN STORE and had NO ISSUES keeping my unlimited grandfathered in everything plan. I too have the $30 data and $5 unlimited text plan. I did the SAME THING last year with my captivate but I HAD TO do it in store. Walmarts online LETSTALK would not allow me to keep my current grandfathered in plan and they cancelled my order. So I walked into the Walmart store and got it and kept my grandfathered plan. Just before upgrading to the att SGS2 I called and CONFIRMED that I can and will keep my unlimited plan a.d was assured by the retention department that I would. I called after I left the store with SGS2 in hand and again called att to CONFIRM that my plan is still listed as the Personal unlimited plan (grandfathered plan). The att retention department told me that IF the store gave me ANY ISSUES to just get the phone and call them once it was mine. So stick to your guns in it and don't just give it away.

I see my best bet would be to walk into Walmart and get that deal on the phone since I can't be sure things will work out with the other online resellers. It seems that buy making your voices heard it was possible to keep your plans. I think what I'm going to do first is call AT&T up and ask the question "If I upgrade my phone through a reseller, will you allow me to keep my current plan" and see what there response is. After that I'll argue with them about how I've been a customer for some years and because I'm renewing my contract, that's the least they could do for me. I'll be sure to get the sales reps name and ID number if they have one. Hell, I might even use my phone and let them know that I'm recording this call for quality assurance. That way I'll have some hard evidence that I was promised that I could keep my plan by the sales rep. I haven't had a reason to use my in call voice recorder but this seems like the perfect time.
Thanks for your input all, I'll let you know how things go and what deal I ended up getting.

Verizon minutes cost question??

I have 5 phones on my plan & 700 talk minutes shared between all of them.
We all text & have never come anywhere close to using 700 minutes until this month when we had a death in the family & my Wife talked a ton. We are about 5 minutes under the 700 & still a ways to go on this billing cycle.
Does anybody know what talk minutes cost if you go over the limit?? I looked on VZ's site but couldn't figure this out.
I don't want to call VZ & ask them because my Wife's phone has the unlimited data plan from the hotspot loophole & I don't want them looking too closely at my plan........
. 45/minute after 700.
The 1400 minute plan is only $20 more.

Thanks. I realize it's only $20, but I don't want to change anything on my plan & chance messing up the unlimited data thing (we all have unlimited data/texting).
I have had a cell phone for years & have never gone over the limit anyway & probably never will again.
I almost went over my 700 minutes last month, so I made my girlfriend (who is on at&t) download tango and told her to only call me on tango. that saved me from going over, but on the other hand, she almost exceeded her data lol

I don't really want to update the plan, it is too expensive now and I don't really need more minutes. We have never used 700 minutes in a month before and will probably never do it again.
My son and I absolutely hate talking on the phone but we text all the time. My Wife on the other hand can talk for hours on the phone but we have a $19 Verizon unlimited landline she can use for that.

My Wife almost sh!t when she realized how much time she had used on the cell account. We used something like 300 minutes last month and for years that has been a normal month for us.
She is using the landline now and we just have to get through this billing cycle with VZ and then everything will go back to normal again.
Can't you use Google voice? Or does that drain minutes too?
If you're keeping track, and you notice you ever go over, CALL customer support, and they can change the minute plan for the CURRENT month, which will only cost the extra $20 or whatever. This makes it so no overages. When the next month starts, just call and have it changed back. Minute plans do NOT affect unlimited data and the like if changed. Only removing a line, or removing/changing data.
I had to do this a few times when my sister was on my plan (first time she racked up $300 in minutes...)
Used to do CS for VZW... If you do go over, just call and change it up. Anything more than 45 min over will cost you more than the $20 price difference. Like someone else suggested you can always change it back on the first day of your next bill. You might even be able to get them to future-date it aka change it back effective next bill cycle. They'd look more closely at your account for overage than a simply plan change. Those are very routine.

i have gone over before when my mom was using her phone for her company and it sucks.... try no to.. we are just now getting it back on after 900+ dollars in charges
I dont know if it is still a service verizon offers, but I was able to call CS and they said I had 2 different minute credits i could use at any time. I think one was 150 min, and the other was 50. Once you start the credit it is added to your monthly plan, and you lose what you dont use at months end.
CS said after being a customer for so long you get these credits. Sorry Im not very detailed as this was 2 years ago when i used it.
FYI- I have been a VZ customer for 11 years.
You can upgrade your minutes and go back to 700 at any time.
You can also change your plan online. Done this many times when my wife and I first got married. Got her trained now though lol. J/K honey.

I would suggest against doing this. The first time i did this, regarding the sister as i mentioned in previous post here, i was under the impression it worked online the same way it does when calling CS... turns out thats incorrect, doing a plan change online future dates it for the next billing cycle. This was maybe 6-7 months ago for me. So take the 5 minutes and call CS instead of taking the quick route and doing so within My Verizon on the phone, or online.
Im a VZW fan, i get great reception in my area, and at work, people want to borrow my phone because most other carriers cant even get data in the building.
that being said, some of the highest bills i've personally seen (from idiot friends, and a couple idiot in-laws) has been from VZW. you start going Ala Carte for text, minutes, etc... you are screwed.
You can call into customer care and ask if them if there's any promotions on your line. Sometimes they can give you some bonus minutes and backdate them so you can avoid overages.

Anyway to keep my unlimited?

Ok so no need to get scared Verizon didn't kick me out of unlimited, here's the deal so my mother finally made the change and got an iPhone and so did my dad, my dad had at&t before, Sooo when they get home my moms like " hey guys so we got the phones and 6 gigs of data but the girl said not to watch videos then my mom said that the girl told her that me and my sis didn't use our unlimited that much...
As soon as she said that I spring into action and check out my Verizon settings and sure enough it was a 6 gb share everything data plan for 4 smartphones... Me and my sister lost our unlimited and I'm like hell no so I take my mom and dad and drive down to Verizon to get my unlimited back and obviously get an actual better deal? So I start discussing with the sales representative that sold my mom the phones and exposing why her "good deal for us" was pure Bs since we already had 1 gig out of the six and it was barely the first day and the 15 dollar charge for going over a gig= no thanks...
Aparrently I used 8.5 gigs the last month and my sis used two gigs...
So we keep on discussing she says she can hook us up with a 16 gig shared data for 350 and says we save 10 dollars, so I broke it down for her there saying if me and my sis revert to unlimited data, my parents get the 2 gb data plan for each of their phones, unl text and calling and then my two little sister unl txt and talk, and the total to that came to 330.
In the end she said that since we had already 5 lines on the family plan, and my dad was adding his line we couldn't keep the old plans since apparently there is a 5 line limit, and the shared data plan ups the limit from 5 lines to 10 is this true? And I think I read somewhere a long time ago that if u have good credit with Verizon that u could add 2 more lines into the old family plan?
Is this a lost battle and should I just settle for the 16 gb shared data? I'll hate having to limit my netflix viewing on the and just overall limiting my phone internet time.

Explain to your pops that it would save you guys money for him to open a separate contract for his phone. Explain to him that by you, and your sister going over the data cap he would have to pay more for the data than the extra contract. I have been looking into holes for awhile to see if we could do something similar. They won't get my unlimited until they pry it from my cold dead fingers...If it happens before that, then i will be moving on to greener pastures. This is why i hate big companies. They are so greedy...I have to get rid of my unlimited data and pay more per month for limited data? That is ridiculous. smh

Usually they pull the account and check the average that's been used over a long period of time and that's where they get the formula to recommend the shared data plan. They usually will recommend on the low side since its adjustable on the fly and the lower they can get that final monthly bill total the easier it is for them to sell it. The problem with that is the typical person financially responsible for the plan isn't a phone guru and doesn't make a habit of screwing with their phone, monitoring data consumption, etc until a huge bill arrives.
To the OP, it sounds like your family is pretty well established in their decision and things probably won't work out for you to keep your unlimited, considering they already made the decision and yanked your unlimited, which will require an act of congress to Change, and they already have their phones and probably your Dad ported a number I'm guessing. Which means they're comfortable and probably that one trip back to the Verizon store already has them tired of dealing with it.

Don't know if this can help in your family plan situation, but when I had to replace my phone (no warranty/insurance) they offered me an early upgrade and good price on a new Rez or GS3 but losing unlimited by using the upgrade. In order to keep unlimited the guy said I could get a "landline" (I think it's fios - unlimited nationwide calling) phone for $20/month.
So, if there's anyway you guys get unlimited on a couple or all lines for the $20/mo. it might be worth it.

I have 2 possible options for you. 1 is to make one of your sisters disappear. 2 is to take your unlimited data which is/was tied to your phone # and have it put into your own name so it would be a completely separate account. If your not old enough or have credit problems see if one of your sisters can get their own account.
Also there isn't any reason why 1 person can't have 6 individual accounts or 2 accounts with 3 shared lines.

When do we lose unlimited?

I activated the Note 48 hours ago and the VZW webpage still shows me on unlimited. Do they typically start the new plan at the beginning of the next bill cycle, or did I somehow get lucky? Thanks
maybe when the billing cycle ends
Not me. I'm getting billed for my data usage over 2 gigs. And I'm now at 11.2 gb. That's 9 gigs over at $10 extra/1 gig. Ouch. I upgraded in store so it appears my new plan went into effect immediately.

Its weird, I'm already on my next billing cycle and it still shows unlimited data still. I did the pre-order through the VZW website. I'm keeping my mouth shut until they realize it lol

You might actually get to keep it. I upgraded to a SGS3 shortly after it came out, but way after the cutoff to keep unlimited officially. I never lost it then.
I ordered the SGS3 through Verizon's website. I also ordered the GNote 2 on their website. I wonder if there's something special about the way my line is configured or the way I'm activating my phone that's causing this.
When I received the GNote I didn't go through any activation process and I didn't use the SIM they sent me. I just yanked the SIM from my SGS3 and popped it in the Note. I will be very happy if I wake up tomorrow and still have unlimited.
FWIW I first added this line about 2 years ago when VZW first got the iPhone and was offering unlimited data with it. Can they not take away unlimited while I'm still in contract?

Yea could be because we didn't switch sim cards. I did the same thing and just took my sim out of my razr and stuck it in the note 2. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

IIRC that's what I did with the SGS3 too.

May I ask how you activated your phone? Did you just pop in an already activated sim card to the Note?
I upgraded at a Evo2 Store (Another branch of Verizon, but still a Verizon store) and I upgraded yesterday and I still have my unlimited data.
That's supposed to be impossible. Now I cannot speak for the automated system, but Verizon's eROES system we use will force you to drop unlimited data and add on a the 2GB package. The only way around this is to use another line's upgrade and then do a device swap.

That'ls pretty sick if you got away with it, I must admit. There must be some inconsistencies with their online activation systems, but I can tell you that anyone using eROES to process an upgrade on a line with an unlimited package will be forced to downgrade. I do this every day.

Does the downgrade usually happen immediately, or is it dated to the beginning of the next bill cycle usually?

It's effective on the date the upgrade is processed, also the new start date of your contract. However, it is not back-dated, which means you won't receive any overages if you had used more than 2GB already. Your data usage will reset as per usual on your billing cycle date.
It's after midnight here but it still hasn't clicked over to the next bill cycle. Would really like to see it stay unlimited so I can go back to abusing the 40 meg LTE I get here in Saint Louis lol

You said you purchased your phone a few days ago, correct? Did the Verizon site say anything about you losing unlimited data when you ordered your phone? Are there any additional lines on your account and are they still under contract? If they do downgrade you and they didn't inform you of the change I would call and raise hell. Threaten to return your device, reverse your upgrade, and terminate your service.
Watch them add a exception note to your account.

It definitely warned me I would lose unlimited when I placed the order on the 19th of last month. I had come to terms with being on WiFi all the time. It's available both at home and work, so it would have been manageable.
But, heck, if the don't take it away again I will not complain. Just wish I knew what I did that was special.

AT&T One Upgrade - Data 'Unlimited' vs. 3GB

Just about to pre-order a One, and I'm stuck on trying to understand what 'data unlimited' means as compared to the 3GB plan. I did get grandfathered to an unlimited plan when I transitioned to my Inspire, but in the past 2 years there hasn't been a single month where I exceeded 2GB. Wondering if y'all have any advice.
Keep your grandfathered unlimited data, NO reason not to.
I'm on Premier, but when I tried to order mine, the website wouldn't give me the correct price for the phone if I kept my current voice and data plan.
I went into a store, and during the process they told me the system said unlimited plans were not allowed with this device. They called to make sure I am able to keep the unlimited data. Whoever they called annotated my account saying I could keep it, but it has to be reapplied after I get the phone (as was the case the last couple of times I upgraded).
From my SGS2 with Tapatalk
Unlimited gets throttled at 3gb... If u avg 2.5 check out the mobile share plans no throttling and they go upto 50gb... if u wanna keep unlimited don't order online cuz they'll swap ur data pkg

Not sure exactly what you're saying here.
If I don't get throttled until after 3G, then what's to worry about? How much 'throttling' is there? How does one tell if the plan has been changed?

If I recall, LTE unlimited data plan cap is 5GB.
yep. If your on att, always keep your unlimited. Only way to lose it is if they accidentally upgrade your data plan to 3gb or whatever data, or move you to the mobile share plan.

You should be able to keep your data plan regardless of how you order, but as someone else mentioned, the "unlimited" data plan is only unlimited until you are throttled at the 3 gig mark (I do believe its 5 gig for LTE users), at which point you drop to 2G speeds (and let me tell you, 2G is not fun) for the remainder of your billing period. If the Premiere site isn't letting you keep the plan, then you should be able to call and place the same order over the phone with a rep, and the rep should be able to retain your data plan. Otherwise, if you remove the data plan, even accidentally, you cannot get it back, so be very careful about what you click.
AT&T changed the specifics of the "unlimited" plan a while ago without changing the actual name of the plan, to keep people happy. So the "unlimited" and "3GB" data plans are essentially similar now.
Im with O2 Uk
We have two phones through my wife's contract.
On my SGS II I had unlimited data. I never realized just how much I used it until a O2 rep called to "let us know" I had used about 6 gig of data that month. Wanted to know what it was on and that all was ok, LOL
Funnily 4 months before my upgrade they called again to say they will not be continuing the Unlimited option as they deemed 1-2 gig to be enough.
And trust me, you don't miss it till its gone! Im now watching every darn kb pass in fear of it running out, for me 1-2-3 GB is nothing.
The frustrating thing is, they wont offer me a plan with more than 2 gb a month??...
So Im now having to look in to getting a external Bluetooth sim thing (tbh, cant remember what they're called, which isn't helping me find the one im after.. )
I'm now jealous of a friend that has kept his unlimited plan for the past 5 or so years.... (was a special offer, bet they didn't see him keeping it this long lol) He's even forfeited his phone upgrades to keep the contract, smart guy.
My advice, Never give up your unlimited mobile internet.
Oh, and just before all you haters start hating, I don't tether and I don't torrent on my plan  , I do alot of streaming :good:

You clearly know nothing of the people in the US that run 90-150 gigs per month off of their unlimited LTE data plans.
I used to have unlimited when I had a BlackBerry years ago but when I switched to the Samsung Captivate I had to change the data plan and I lost it. I've had 2 a month ever since and I always have to monitor my data with 3g watchdog. Thinking about changing it to 3 GB when I pre-order the HTC one since it's only $5 more a month.

Didn't want to take a chance of loosing my grandfathered unlimited data plan so I went to a corporate store yesterday and placed the order there for upgrade of phone only. They also included the media link which was out of stock yesterday afternoon but was restocked later in the evening online.
Keep the unlimited. I use up a lot of data on Plex app and DirecTV alone.

Ok, so just to be sure I'm on the same page, when I upgraded, I selected the box which said this, and my current (post-upgrade) services show:
Data Unlimited SmartPhone Personal
Data Plan for SmartPhones. Unlimited domestic data usage. Only available for upgrades. Requires customers to be on a "Gold List" Data Unlimited SmartPhone Plan prior to upgrade to 4G device.
I presme that's the right one, yes?
I am in the same position. I have the unlimited plan and I'm thinking about getting the HTC One.
I will not give up my plan because I regularly go over 3gb. I received the text message threatening to throttle my speed after 3gb but never really noticed the difference after 3gb.
I remember when I was upgrading to the iphone 4 back in 2010 I had the choice of keeping unlimited data or drop to 2GB and save $5 a month. At the time I was not even close to 2gb so I dropped down to save some $$.
Fast forward to 2013.
I do about 6GB a month. Without even trying. LTE was a game changer.
I regret giving up my unlimited data.. They even raised the throttling to 5GB.
I ordered online but before doing so I talked to representatives. They told me if I ordered it but called them before activation they can make sure that you don't lose the unlimited data. I have backup in the form of a chat online with their representative just in case they try to not honor their word.

Looks right to me.
At&T throttle?
ATT has threatened to throttle my unlimited every month for the past year or two. I always get the same two messages and it never happens. At least not that I can tell. I'm sure they do throttle, but it's never actually happened to me. I run speedtest pretty regularly and Netflix never has any trouble.
Never let them take away your unlimited data. They will have to pry it from my cold dead hands.
