Hi,
Basically, I need tasker to do the following but have no idea on how to go about doing it.
1) Turn off Juice Defender (the whole service) at a specified time, turn the phones Wifi, 3G / 4G, bluetooth etc and set it into flight mode.
2) At a specified time OR after an alarm goes off (no matter what time), turn off flight mode and turn on Juice Defender.
Can anyone please help me get this working in Tasker or any other app for that matter.
Thank you.
If you are rooted, tasker can kill app using root. You can then launch as part of an alarm set up through tasker.

I find that you have to use some of the Tasker step throughs to get fully familiar with it and to get it to perform your fully customized tasks.
Have you tried http://tasker.wikidot.com/ as the profiles and step throughs are really very useful. I build a few of the examples for practice then try my own after that.

I just that Tasker has the following action: JD Status in the 3rd Party category
How can I use this to terminate the JD service and start it again?
Willing to pay someone for the code

How should the phone know, when you enter your workplace. There has to be some kind of trigger and in fact i dont really think that it is that hard to open the settings and turn wifi on. Create a shortcut or use an unofficial rom f.e. TW mod there you can switch wifi on in the drop down bar.

I think Juice Defender Ultimate has a feature that uses the gps to do that.

Yes the iphone has that app...so Android should also. Thats what apps are there for...to make our lives easier.
Was mentioned in this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1177372 that roll out will start this weekend.
But what is the trigger for your workplace? Should the wifi turn on 30mins after you say “‘til later honey!“ or what? GPS is more battery expensive than its worth. Tell me how the phone should know when you are at work?

Found a solution already?
Else try Llama from KebabApps. It uses the cell locations for finding your position. No GPS is needed. Can switch a lot of things beside WiFi. Also time dependant tasks are possible.
Honestly I used it some time ago. But my workplace is too near to my home. So it never knew exactly where I am ;-)

thanx, i installed "tasker", still havent figured out yet how it works
will also try llama
Another vote for llama. Tasker is much more powerful, but I found llama more useful because it was so simple. The developer has been adding features and improving performance and respond to emails promptly. I really need to buy it already.

I use "WeFi - Automatic WiFi" (NO, no typo! It's with an "e"...), free in the Market.
It makes a Wifi-connection in places that u assign as "always log in here"....
Works fine for me!

I recently rooted using the Doomlord exploit and have since put the UnNamed rom on my phone. My problem comes when I try to now use tasker to manipulate my GPS I get the message saying that Google doesn't allow it anymore etc etc.
Any particular reason that starting Tasker doesn't seem to prompt Superuser access? I get the prompt for other programs but not Tasker.
Thank you for any help

Not sure about tasker not seeing root, but there is an add-on for tasker in the market to allow GPS control. I can't recall the name of it at the moment, but a search should find it...

Thank you, I'll certainly keep that in mind for at least a (hopefully) temporary fix.
Taker won't control GPS on some ROMs. Previously I ran unnamed and it couldn't turn on our off the GPS without me helping. However I've been playing with MIUI this week and tasker can control GPS on it .

Hi. :fingers-crossed:
I'm looking for an app I've have not found until now :
I'm student with a known planning. I'd like my phone automatically locks screen after a certain amount of time when I'm in course (Of course,I know how to do this). But when I am not at school I'd like my phone does not locks his screen.
Do you know an app doing that?
Thank you.

Check out the app Tasker, using that you can create a profile to customize lockscreen timeout depending on time, location etc. You might even be able to find a tasker profile that already does this online.

Hey guys so where I work, my signal is pretty bad. So I typically turn off Bluetooth, GPS, etc to help extend my battery any little I can. So I'd like to get an app that sets up profiles for work so that between 7am-3pm, those settings turn off an than turn back on after 3. I think CM has a feature like this built in but I'm on my sgs3, TW. Any good suggestions?

tasker or llama
I would recommend Tasker or Llama. Tasker is a paid app and can pretty much automate anything on your phone. It does have a bit of a learning curve, but there are plenty of written/video tutorials online as well as a helpful community.
If you want something simpler, Llama is a great app. And it's free! You can set it to turn off Bluetooth, wifi, change audio levels, etc. Unfortunately, I believe you need a rooted phone to be able to automatically toggle GPS for any app. The handy thing is you can have it recognize cell towers to change profiles or you can set it on a time schedule.
There are definitely other apps out there that can do what you're asking, but these are two that I have used and am quite satisfied with.
Thank you! I am rooted so I'll check out Llama.

I have seen many different ways of doing this but all seem needlessly over complicated
is there a way to auto airplane more my phone if I am receiving no bars. (subway or underground parking)
and check in a few min if service is back stay on
See attachments but must add .prf.xml as it would not allow tasker files
You can do it with tasker.

since I have no way of really testing it with out going on the subway every test I was wondering if someone could check the two tasks I attached and see if they can be trimmed or work
