I know that this may not be the best place for thanking the TeamWin developers....
But I guessed that most people would like a place to thank everyone, without doing it on the actual threads! lol
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149998
And looking for something like this in the "General" section is well - who wants the general section now!
Anyway, tons of thanks! Really amazing stuff!
Lets leave the dev threads open for the stuff we want - root on our phones! SWEET!
This belongs in General, moving to general.
Threads like these are why "nobody wants the general". You are a tool

Probably people dont see all the great posts like that ("anyway."), because they're in the general section...
If there was one "spot" at the top of the page in the developer section, for all the great thanks and gratitude people have, then all the threads wouldn't be clogged up with "THANKS"...
Stericson, removed about 3 pages of "usless thanks in the thread. TY
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149998
There is a place for thanks... I never saw the other thread... others like me, prolly just rush in to see the latest news and skip the "GENERAL" section...
And dump and port their latest thanks updates!
Thats all I was doing - Keeping it close to free up the "Informative" threads...
Have a good one!
Cheers!

I put in some good ideas about brainstorming that were outside the box- if all you do is look back and criticise, that's odd.
All I wanted to do was inspire alternate methods, if the ones that don't work at the moment, aren't working!
Therefore, it is better to inspire people to get to the moon, than to wallow in your negativity...
Keep it real and let's get the people who know what they're doing, on track to look at "All the posibilities".

HaHa how do I delete your negativity?
When everyone was giving up on unlocking our awesome 3vo's, I said, "if HTC or Sprint can change the operating system anytime they want, why can't we?"
I was thinking that there might be a way to enclose the hack within the HTC code... So that no root would be required, if the new code was included within the normal HTC signature. I don't know what I'm doing except I don't like to give up...

BUT the actual thread ---->
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149998
Was getting so bogged down with thanks... it was rediculous!
About 3 pages were deleated then it was closed!
DER
So if there was another outlet for people to post "Thanks"--- that they would see --- when they come running in all a "googoo" eyes into the thread, to find all the latest updates... and then clog it up "with thanks"...
maybe they would use that...!
So when they come running into the forums and see a "Place For Thanks" staring them in the face(in the developers section)- maybe they would use that instead of the dev threads... I hate reading 160 + pages to see repeated stuff too!
I see the "Thanks Button" I guess everyone else didn't...

They do. I went through the process a couple months ago to help someone sign up. It's actually a lot more complicated than when I became a member. It required a captcha and a simple question like "Musical instrument that has several black and white keys" that you have to answer. Then you see the link to the video and a check box saying that you agree to the forum rules and that have read the video.
Unfortunately, there's no way to know if they actually read the forum rules and there is no way to verify that they actually watched the video.
Maybe we should implement a pop quiz before posting a new thread.

We have enough stickies. You can include it in your post though.
One of the main problem with stickies is that a lot of people use the XDA app to log on and search.
However most don't check the stickies tab at the top so they don't even see them when they search the forum. That's why at least 75 percent of the "noobs" post their questions that have already been answered. Seriously! Next time check to see if you notice a "Sent from my _____ using XDA App"
Hell... there's one in this very page! No offense to ebatr8 or anything I'm just proving my point that a lot of people use it. Unfortunately it's my belief that a lot of them use it as their primary source to log on. So a lot of content is missed because of it. And don't think that I don't check ip addresses! When I see someone with a stupid question I check two things:
1. Do they have a history of asking stupid questions?
2. Have they asked that stupid question multiple times?
3. Are they from another country? Sometimes the language barrier makes things difficult so I tend to have more patience.
4. I check the ISP of the person.
Now let me pick on ebatr8 just real quick. Don't take it personal or anything... but looking at your ip address you have "or.wavecable.com." What is that? Also.... I'm assuming you're using your home wireless network. So is it safe to assume that you also have a PC at home that you just don't feel like using? I'm not trying to pick on you or anything I'm just trying to see the appeal of that stupid XDA app. I use it when I have to but I would much rather have a PC. Maybe that's just me though.

Actually, he did not search at all from my understanding. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just saying. From his OP, he states that he accidently found out how to take screen shots with the stock, none rooted rom when trying to turn off his device. Right away he posted the method up and I can bet without any search if that was a known feature for the amaze.
I'm pretty sure if you search Google, it will let you know thats a known stock feature for the amaze. But I guess you can give him credit for trying to help.
And actually, here it is. First result when I searched google

Yuck! I've always considered myself to be a Google whiz, but apparently not. So what you're saying is if the OP would have typed this into Google, the thread wouldn't be needed? If my first post was "how to root amaze 4g" I'm sure it would be frowned upon for posting common knowledge that we could have searched and found the same info on.

It is totally packed with features (chiefly, integration with social networks, WhatsApp integration and smart ordering), looks absolutely lovely, and just elevates the Android experience when using a smartphone.
As an added bonus, it pimps out your SMS and call log appearance and functionality as well.

There was only one of the works in which I did not posted the credit. I admit it. The reason behind it has been said to the moderator. It will be resolved soon
And coming back to the "Application" ,if you think I am the developer then look around you will see a user named "Contact+" . He is the dev!

I have no dog in this fight, but having tinkered with this app for a bit, it actually does have some pretty nice features. Seems like the devs put a lot of thought into how SMS, phone and contacts interact...quite intuitive. I will definitely give it a few days of testing.

It looks like it has potential. I couldn't uncheck the box that makes it my default sms app so I deleted it for now. I'll try it again later.
I don't think it was syncing with my facebook very well either. It only synced 19 contacts

For real this post belongs in the android app development section. These themes and app threads aren't meant for people to promote their app. You might not be the developer but judging by the fact the thread is almost identical makes it look the the dev is trying to advertise their app, and this isn't the place at all. There are people that are actually taking their time and making mods/themes and all the threads keep getting pushed to the bottom of the list because of threads like this. I posted a themed app last night and its sad that its 10 posts below this already. If people want an alternate contacts app they will do what everyone else does, and search the playstore, not come to a device specific thread looking for a copy/pasted review of the app. At least you didn't completely kang this particular developers work like your aosp browser/mms/miui music threads.

@TPAM :What I did to my other threads is.not much important for you to know about .. Respective moderator already knows that
It's true though that it should be in "Android Apps Section", but I find that only developer post there application thread there. Not a share thread.
Once again "Sharing not equal to promoting "
And are you sad that because of my thread your thread is down.
let's not post bump this thread, come again when have something useful to post or any review. PM me if you have some doubt
