Question Mark On Battery Icon on nokia lumia 800... Need Help - Nokia Lumia 800

Hi, I bought my new nokia lumia 800 on 4th of April. The battery time was excellent. But few days back I saw Question Mark on battery icon. I tried to update my Lumia 800 (and already updated to latest firmware) but still question mark on Battery Icon. Can anyone please help me I am really upset.
When you go to setting>>> Battery saver (it keeps on changing like when I charged my Lumia 800 full 100% and after disconnecting from Charging it showed 88%) the percentage keeps on changing in battery saver option.
also when you go to diagnostic Tool, it dont show anything.. Anyone please help me. I also reset my nokia lumia 800 few times but same result.

I think no one here knows how to solve this problem

Try switching off your phone and afterwards keep holding your power button for at least 20 seconds.

Try a hard reset. If this doesn't work, it may be a hardware fault. Then you should take it back to the store and switch for warranty.

Try those things:
1. Charge for a full night
2. Hard reset the phone
3. Switch your phone in a Nokia Care Point

Nothing of what you are being told will work.
Nokia is aware of this and will fix it soon.
To resolve the matter until the full fix you can connect and disconnect a few times the data cable/charger. The fix is coming.

Why does Nokia update phones and forces us to wait again for another update? Is this a new policy they are using?
Instead of adding a battery percentage option, they added a question mark?
How clever. This means even with Nokia development of a compatible hardware, they are still not suiting WP7 purpose.
It was a bad decision when I took Nokia Lumia 800. Will stay on my charming One X

Try doing the following:
1. Factory reset your device
2. Connect to Zune and restore from your last backup when battery icon was not showing the question mark (?).
Should fix it. Why? because I have tested it my self and worked for me.

seems that problem is much complicated.
Please do not update! Those who are having battery question mark, will still have it if they update again through Zune.
Better find yourself Qualcumm device with hw version 2.3 if you love Lumia 800

Lumia 625
Hello! I have a Nokia Lumia 625 phone with the same issue. The problem is that the resistor on the back of the powerflex is in short-circuit! It is a hardware problem! You need to remove the adhesive around the resistor! Good luck! On other models, look for connectivity issues, short-circuit in other parts! Another temporary solution for recovery is to power up the phone and then disconnecting the powerflex from the motherboard!

Display Problem

Hey guys,
I've received a Lumia 800 a few days ago and noticed something odd about the display. Sometimes the whole content of the display is moved to the left, and the part that is now out of view is then located on the right side of the screen. I could not reproduce this problem. Since the phone is working perfectly great I don't really want to send it in for a problem that might be caused by software issues... Should I be worried about this problem?
To make it more clear, here is a quick mockup of this error:
Regards Chris
I've noticed this twice so far, it happens as fast as a blink, when the whole interface shifts then moves back to normal almost instantly. I'd expect it to be fixed in a software update.
Thanks for your answer. I was really surprised when this first happened. But since I'm not the only one with this problem I'll wait for an software update.
Have seen that too. I think this can be fixed with a FW update. How can we report that problem to Nokia?

I have also noticed the same thing, although it stays like that for less than a second. Hopefully a software update will fix it.
I won't take my phone to a service point anytime soon, since this is a very rare occuring problem. But I think I'm on the newest firmare/software:
OS-Version: 7.10.7740.16
Firmware-Rev.: 1600.2479.7740.11451
Hardware-Rev.: 112.1402.2.3
Bootloader: 7.35.0.0
Chip-SOC-Version: 0.74.2.1
Same problem here, event on the start logo NOKIA.
I'm experiencing the same problem.
Most viewable in the start nokia splash screen.
I dunno if I'm on the last firmware, but I'm branded Vodafone.
I'm having exactly the same thing... it's almost like gpu driver isn't aligning correct or something like that...
I've noticed this as well. I'm on the latest FW update (11451). As you other guys have said it's not that annoying and it goes away in less than a second so I will not take care of the problem unless it's solved with a future FW update.
ok, I have now noticed that this seems to become worse... Sometimes my display stays this way for several seconds... I just contacted the Nokia support team to check if I can get my device replaced, just to be safe...
And what did they say ?
Nothing yet. That's because today is an official holiday here in germany, and i doubt that the support team will work on weekends. So I think we'll have to wait untill monday for an answer...
I have the same problem with my unbranded lumia 800, any solution?!

I got an update from Zune, but it was OS update only. There was no firmware. Should I restore and try it again?
It'll come later, some have got the firmware and not the OS.
Thanks for letting me know.
I just got a similar reply on Nokia Support. They're being pushed seperately. The user I replied to had received the firmware, but not the OS update yet.
I'll try to be more patient.
I just did the disconnect trick, and it's downloading 8107, will report what firmware I have when it's done
---------- Post added at 09:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 PM ----------
Got 8107 + new firmware in one go
Tried the disconnect trick when the last update was being rolled out but wasn't working. :S I thought they fixed it?
Clearly not
Also, MVNO's are better supported now, my phone shows Giffgaff instead of O2-UK, not seen that in a while!
I'll give it a go.. Hopefully it works this time around.. Any tips?
Took me about 5 goes to time it right. Best tip is preserver I guess. I also turned flight mode on as I read that helps.

+1 to this. took a few attempts, worked in the end
Just managed to get it updating. It's getting new Windows verison, not sure about FW tho, will have to wait for it to finish and check.
Any noticable improvements yet? I know it's too early though
Mine only said Windows version, but firmware was included too. Auto-brightness seems better, diagnostic app contains more stuff. Charging now to see new capacity.
I just flashed back to 11451 via NCS, then forced the update through Zune.
I got both the OS update and firmware (8106.11500). I'm hoping this firmware is the answer to all our battery problems. Full charge capacity is sitting at 1483mAh. Will post back if it starts to drop (like on all the other firmwares)...
T-Mobile USA Zune Force Update Worked..
Flashed and have joy now..
Like others mentioned above, battery capacity reads 1481 rather than 1517; so was this the correction I wonder?
Will have to see how it performs over the coming days.
Autobrightness seems to work MUCH better; that alone will conserve some power.
Going to close down my system and go home now; I am curious if Bluetooth will be any better. I have a Nokia J - works better than non-Nokia, but have had to re-pair it a few times due to repeated connection dropoffs. Want to see if A2DP will work now. And of course, will try the camera to see if there is anything else good there (in spite of prior reports..)
Cheers
[1st Edit]
Ok, so far BT is holding together but we'll see.. I'll have to see if the belt holster throws it off. Still no A2DP though.. Podcasts, music, and Nokia Drive voices still play through speaker and won't route through headset.
[Edit 2]
Camera.. Nuts.. Spoke too soon. At work under fluorescents.. No pink spot. Came home .. Under halogen, spot is still there unless I use flash. So looks like nothing changed after all except the focus default setting (whoop dee dee... )
[Edit 3] Bluetooth seems very stable.. Going to try now with a non-Nokia earpiece..

Lumia 800 three UK firmware version

I have a cyan 800 on three, I've had it 3 weeks and when I first got it it had a few updates to install through Zune but its still quite behind the current firmwares and I wasn't sure if its my phone or are three that far behind
My software is:
Os version: 710.8107.79
Firmware: 1600.2475.7720.11414
If I should be on a newer firmware is there any way to get it from three or should I just do it manually
Sent from my Lumia 800 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
You are on the newest OS version, your firmware looks a little bit out-dated, but normally you'll get an update soon. If you can't wait, you can always update manually
I have the cyan phone on 3, and I've had the same issues. I get OS updates no problem, but haven't had any firmware updates, so I'm also at 1600.2475.7720.11414.
Initially I think that 3 hadn't released the firmware for the cyan phone, only the black, but I've since checked on the Nokia Data Package Manager software, and later firmware for our phone's product code is on there, from 3, but it's not being pushed out to Zune for some reason. (It's been on there for weeks/months, so I don't think it's just that my 'batch' hasn't been pushed out yet).
I'm getting a bit pissed off about it now to be honest, but multiple emails to 3 and Nokia are always met with the same generic responses which don't actually answer any of my questions!
Try the disconnect trick?
The disconnect trick is unplugging the usb cable then plugging it back in again quickly isn't it? I tried that and I doesn't seem to do anything. Just says says connect your device. Id update using cab sender but it does seem pretty confusing when it comes to language packs

No, it isn't The disconnect trick is searching for updates, and then you turn off your Internet connection after a couple of seconds. It requires a bit of timing precision, but just give it a couple of tries

For info, the thread detailing the disconnect trick is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1281300
Just tried doing the disconnect trick a couple of times and after a while it tells me the phone software is up to date which it clearly isnt, it does only reference the os version and not the firmare and the os is up to date so maybe thats the problem and thats why it isnt updating the firmware.
Use CAB Sender to install the update then, it doesn't affect your branding.
Yeah I did that earlier today in the end, no point waiting for three

Lumia 920 Blinking Screen (no one can fix it ?)

Dear All:
I just got a new Yellow Lumia 920 and I upgrade it directly to Amber GDR2 as I got it through Wifi.
My Lumia 920 Info:
1-Manufacturer name: RM-821_apac_Malaysia_316
2-Mobile operator: 000-MY
3-Carrier: CV Malaysia
4-OS version: 8.0.10328.78
5-Firmware version number: 3047.0000.1326.2009
My problem is when I press lock key to unlock the screen (specially under fluorescent light) the screen will start to shake and blink for some time.
My setting is Auto Brightness off , Glance off, magnifier off & brightness set to low.
I believe that the issue is about ambient light sensor
I tried soft reset and turn off then turn on the mobile in dark room , cleaned the mobile in spite of it is new.....nothing work.
so is some one know how to fix this issue & Is it a software or Hardware issue ?
Note: I live in Middle east and there is no warranty for my mobile
By the way
I installed more than one screen pixel test and after i run the test the screen was blinking much more than before and now it is back to it's normal faulty manner

Maybe a data factory reset will help you. If it doesn`t reflash the firmware with Nokia Software Updater for Retail from here http://jkorondy.com/Lumia920, also is a tutorial for how to do it. If that doesn`t help also it may be a hardware issue bro. Good luck.
I tried soft reset then hard reset but still
turn off then on in a very dark room and it is still the same
I notice when using black image as lock screen it will not shack or blink .....................!!!!!
some Nokia 920 owners said it is a normal problem ????!!!!
why Nokia & Microsoft doesn't pay attention for small things ??????????
Ok I just contact windows phone 8 support & they told me that the problem can be fixed If I flashed the firmware correctly in Nokia support !!!!
Hi Guys .
I'd like to confirm that I already flashed my Lumia 920 with latest Firmware available for my device {Downloaded through Navifirm}, but that didn't solved the issue as the Microsoft team promised.
I believe now that the issue in the Hardware Side now
Not sure But still I hope that soon some one will figure out what is this issue and blinking screen is about, Hope soon
Nokia .................... I will think twice before I will buy anything from your produces in Future.
So what happens if you put your finger over the light sensor and keep it there for a moment? Does it get worse, better, or stop?
If it is hardware related, then this is what a warranty is for. Send it in.. If you don't have a warranty or can't send it in then the best you can do is take it apart and maybe clean the sensor and around it and that might help or fix it. Otherwise you are out of luck.
If somebody had a fix for you they would have posted as this is a popular forum. Seems you are the only so far that has posted such a problem. So you are the first and it is up to you to tell other how to fix it if they encounter the issue.
Man I gave up
that's it . there is nooooooooooooooooo fix, there was many threads in different forums and no one could find a fix.
screen replaced , firmware flashed ................... what else
it is sound something even Nokia can't solve it

Are you using screen protector? Try remove it and then do a reset. It fixed my problem. The screen protector that covers part of the sensor making the screen flickering.

[Q] Camera Flash gone

Couple of days ago my camera flash stopped working. I used it the day before and now nothing. I have Flashlight Pro 7 and when I restart my phone and open the app, the speaker make a brief crackling noise instead of the flash coming on as a light. Brief as in a fraction of a second.
I also had Flashlight-X app on the phone which recently was updated. Don't know if that has anything to do with it but I removed that app with no success to my problem.
I have the AT&T update to install so hopefully i it is a software issue that will take care of it.
However, I thought I would see if anyone has had this problem, knows of a solution or can give me an idea how I can get it fixed. Phone is out of warranty so I am on my own.
Thanks
