This doesn't make sense. My phone is charging but my battery is discharging. I've changed batteries but it's not the issue.
What could it be?
Thanks

I have no idea why the screen was on last night.

Some, if not all ROMs have a feature to have screen on while charging, is that what you're describing?
No my phone doesn't charge the battery when it says charging... I've changed batteries but issue is still there

That's a weird situation, somehow your battery just isn't getting voltage. Get an external charger, they sell 2 batts and an external charger for less than $20 on amazon.

I actually had the same issue when I first installed a custom rom on my s3. All I had to do to fix it was run a quick nandroid restore. Other's that I've talked to who had this issue told me to try different kernels, specifically kernels designed around battery life. Hope this helps

K just had the same problem on my vibrant running cm10 nightly. It was cause the way I fashed the kernel. (Your battery should be at full charge when flashing kernels) its just better this way lol

I would flash back to a stock ROM and start there. Make sure it is not hardware before you start changing software settings.
Can i flash a stock rom with 9% with odin mobile lol

I'd try putting it on USB charge first. It might just be your charger has gone US rather than anything to do with the phone OS or software. Looking at those first screenshots I'm wondering about the 'discharging' 'charging' going on. To me that sugests the charger itself is not staying on charge mode.
The SIII gets 'stuck' sometimes says Samsung, they said it was a software issue so hopefully they'll fix it soon
Possible temp fix: turn off phone (works 90% of time for me)

Flashed stock ics an hr ago and I'm up to 30% that's the highest it's gotten to in the last 24 hrs. So think it's safe to say I'm back in business.
Very strange behaviour though!

I think that your charger is bad. Try some rooted jb os with latest siyah kernel, then try to charge your phone with usb. Latest syiah kernel have tweaked usb charge to 900mA. You have managed to recharge a little bit because ics has weaker wireless than jb.
Sory for my bad english
Cant be bad charger because I've tried 2.
As soon as I flashed stock t-mobile ics the charging went back to the way it should be.
Was running latest overcome jb. Was working fine. Something must of gotten corrupted?
Only thing that fixed it was flashing stock.
Anyway crisis averted. Just glad Im not having to send it away to samsung.

First of all is ur phone rooted? If it is download an app called better battery stats and check the kernal wakelock and partial wakelock and send me some screenshots.

That battery life looks fine, if not good. 2:30 hours of on screen time and you still have 30% left. Your overall battery life could be better because the battery has only been on for 4 and a half hours, but the reason it is so low is because of the good on-screen time.

Hello guys,
I have one Q.
What is yours battery max temperature ?
I have instaled battery info app which has temperature indicator.
Today was almost 42Âșc.
Is this normal temperature?
I'm a little bit worried, because S3 has one major problem probably with mother board and it's over heating.
Thanks in advance for your ansvers.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
42 is pretty normal, when i play games it goes up to 48 and no problem whatsoever
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Thanks man for your answer.
I m glad it's nothing to worry about.
What do you think is the max temperature that won't harm the phone?

Normally the temp will go till 60 c. If it go above 60c your battery might have problem. The battery will broke if it too hot or it will discharge fast.

Thanks man.
This is the info that I've been waitng for.

From experience
well i have a habit of overusing my phones capability.
the battery stop charging when it hits 60C.
i accidentally kept my phone under a pillow while downloading some stuff when i found my hand kind of burned and when i checked it the temperature was 70C
i still dont have any problem. i just removed the casing and held it to the AC for a few minutes and it was alryt.
my advice is never leave ur phone under a pillow ever again!!
Hi all,
Phone was plugged in overnight, though it doesn't seem to reflect that here. That being said, I am still mystified by this battery life chart. Any ideas???
Thanks
