hi anybody have solution for wifi htc evo 3d? after upgrade android 2.3.4 its autometically wifi not working,its just start to connect and ask out of range,plz share ur solution
Did you do a factory reset or you could go into WiFi settings and remove the connection and then try to reconnect by putting in your pass word

If you're using barnacle, it won't work. You have to use wifi tether, set it as desire cdma and click on htc routing. There are instructions on these forums somewhere, but that's the gist of it.

I tried that and still no luck....obtains ip address n connects to internet but will not sign into playstation network......my girlfriends evo 4g works.jus fine but my 3d doesnt....

Do you have one of the more up to date temp root solutions. Your probably losing root access. WiFi tether works fine on the 360.

Yea i do have the latest perma twmp root and wifi tether is always granted superuser permissions so i guess.i still have root. But i noticed that wen it connects that n the acfess.controll menu on the wifi tether app a little.box.pops up and says 'unable to restart secured wifi'......any idea wat that means??

I use 3.0 everyday with 4g tethered to my ps3 I use desire cdma profile also

In WiFi tether app hit menu to bring up the settings and click on access control then disable access control. Afterwards, go to settings and disable your WiFi encryption. Your probably not logging in because you have the WiFi password protected.

I recently flashed kingcobra ics 1.5 in my htc EVO 3d gsm
My Signal is gray and i dunno why. Its Not saying Not avaiable or so, it detects my Provider and it has 4 bars but its gray
It turns blue as soon as i turn on WiFi and connect to the Internet.
Im also not able to use Mobile data due this problem...
Hope someone can help..

you could try using the clockworkmod wifi hotspot, you can download off the play store (cant link because i have not done 10 posts) you can search this; ClockworkMod Tether (no root)
but it is not wireless

Try Wi-Fi tether. People tend to have better luck with it.

If u r running ics with WiFi tether change the device profile to generic ics, check the WiFi reload box, check mss clamping box and check the routing fix box. And change the channel to eleven. Hit thanks if it worked.
It would help if you actually described the problem you are having. But you should try flashing another rom, preferably stock, to see if it's rom related or not.

Again, what problem are you having? Telling is you "can't use the hotspot" doesn't tell us anything.

Sound like you are using a jelly bean rom, if you are most of them have multiple issues, read the op descriptions

hi i have a htc evo 3d gsm i rooted it a while back and used some custom roms now my phone is unrooted and i have original rom but my wifi sometimes gives error or it just says Opening Wifi... and when i remove the battery and open the phone again my wifi sometimes opens normally what should i do? Someone said i should Soff my phone and do PG86.IMG but i dont have my pc till summer so is there any other way
