hi i have a htc evo 3d gsm i rooted it a while back and used some custom roms now my phone is unrooted and i have original rom but my wifi sometimes gives error or it just says Opening Wifi... and when i remove the battery and open the phone again my wifi sometimes opens normally what should i do? Someone said i should Soff my phone and do PG86.IMG but i dont have my pc till summer so is there any other way

Did you do a factory reset or you could go into WiFi settings and remove the connection and then try to reconnect by putting in your pass word

I recently flashed kingcobra ics 1.5 in my htc EVO 3d gsm
My Signal is gray and i dunno why. Its Not saying Not avaiable or so, it detects my Provider and it has 4 bars but its gray
It turns blue as soon as i turn on WiFi and connect to the Internet.
Im also not able to use Mobile data due this problem...
Hope someone can help..

I am experiencing similar issues with my HTC HD2 with custom ICS rom. I guess something must be wrong with displaying information only.

try this
you could try using the clockworkmod wifi hotspot, you can download off the play store (cant link because i have not done 10 posts) you can search this; ClockworkMod Tether (no root)
but it is not wireless

Try Wi-Fi tether. People tend to have better luck with it.

If u r running ics with WiFi tether change the device profile to generic ics, check the WiFi reload box, check mss clamping box and check the routing fix box. And change the channel to eleven. Hit thanks if it worked.
It would help if you actually described the problem you are having. But you should try flashing another rom, preferably stock, to see if it's rom related or not.

Again, what problem are you having? Telling is you "can't use the hotspot" doesn't tell us anything.

Actually now i'm using predatorunityrom for my htc evo 3d gsm s-on, now everthing ok but the problem is wifi hospot show error .cant use the hotspot n i dont know who to fix it

ive tried everything and there s no prompt to tell me to use disk drive for example ive even done a reset.
im currently on s-off hboot 1.49.008 (not revolutionary) with kingcobra rom. i honestly think its the hboot but i cant do anything since i cant get it to connect to the pc
does anyone have an idea of what might be the cause

Are you sure you are using the correct usb cord, do you have the drivers installed on your computer, try to reboot your cpu, try another usb port, it's not likely your phone

Its 100% the phone because i have 2 evo 3ds at home and am using same port and htc usb cable only 1 evo 3d is not working and ive tryed different pcs
Try swapping sd cards, are you using kernel that is included with the rom, did you do a full wipe when you flashed the rom, try the easy stuff, before you start messing with hboot, when you plug in phone do you at least get the option to charge the phone

I tryed all of the above and yes i did a full wipe and im using the kernel that came with the rom (stock htc). And i get no option whatsoever

Well it just starts charging but i dont have the option to charge or not
Ok i just got it you wanted to know if the phone jack actually works but yea it does charge so i dont think its a hardware problem
Have you tried rebooting the PC?

Re-flash the rom, sounds like the settings are messed up, under pc connection you should have multiple options when you connect your phone, check to see if any options exist. Did you flash the new firmware?

If you are S-OFF, yes. Take out the SD card, put it in another device that can read/write it, and copy another bootloader to the root of your SD card as PG86IMG.zip. Then put the SD card back in the phone, start the bootloader by pressing VolumeDown+Power, and confirm that you want the current bootloader to flash the new bootloader.

ok just istalled a different rom right after a full wipe and still 1 evo 3d works and this one doesnt it has to be the hboot now?
can you tell me where it is stored that way i can flash it on the other evo 3d? or is it more complicated than that?
when turning on wifi, i get "error" and the wifi goes back to off,i am running jelly rooted gsm.
killing processes doesn't work, neither does restart,is there any way for me to fix this?

Sound like you are using a jelly bean rom, if you are most of them have multiple issues, read the op descriptions
