Hello all,
I bought an a-pad/e-pad which came in a Superpad 3 box. Upon research it is a very hard device to locate. I am looking to root it and install a custom rom to speed up and customize the device (as we all do).
I also understand there is not much development but surely there must be one person that can point me in the direction? There is 2 roms I found for a similar device the Flytouch but I am uncertain that the rom will work on the device.
The roms I have found is Tim6a and Axlien
About Device
Model Number: Android P1001R
Android version: V2.3 2011-12-07 (001112)
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #232
Build Number: FRF85B
I downloaded the "Device Info" app to see more of the details. This is what I got:
Hardware
Manufacturer: Unknown
Model: Mercury
Hardware: imapx200
Board: Unknown
Device: Mercury
Brand: Generic
CPU: ARMv6-Compatible processor rev 5 (v6l)
Software
Android Version 2.2 - Was advertised with 2.3 !!!
Bootloader: Unknown
Unfortunately this sounds like it is a clone. The apads that I know of are all ARMv7 compatible processors. That and the fact that the About device lists the version as V2.3 2011-12-07 which would be GB but yet it is truly 2.2 just changed to say 2.3 and probably skinned to look and act a little like GB.

Unfortunately, my phone is FAKE!
I bought a phone from DEALSPRIME!
They declared that the phone is type Goophone i5 II with "quad core" procesor MTK 6589 and screen resolution 1280x720 pix., but you sent me type Goophone i5 with "dual core" procesor MTK 6577 and screen resolution 840x480 pix. which is cheaper...
The phone displays Antutu benchmark (preinstalled) the same data as you wright on their web page, but the other diagnostic programs (android software info or mtk droid tools) displaying different data.....!!!!!!!!!!
Onakvee do you still have the phone?
If so could you do a scatter ROM download for all of us to use that were unfortunately scammed by Dealsprime
Or could you PM me with a scatter ROM from yours as I tried installing a Goophone ROM which obviously didnt work as its a ALPS version and need to return it to original state and forgot to back up first what a numpty i am.
kind regards and thanks for your time
Hi Meecha1,
I still have my phone....
I created a backup using the MTK Tools Droid, but unfortunately it is not complete : (
Is there some mistake ...
PS:
I sent to PM next information.
Backup everything apart with SP Flash Tools (found in various places on this forum) just follow the MTK6577 instructions.
Then get MTK Droid Tools and use "Prepare blocks for Flash Tool". Typically the DSP/Preloader extracts from SP Flash Tool need adjusting. I usually do a raw read for the whole device apart upto the data area.
Hi,
During "Prepare blocks for Flash Tool" the process shows errors.
See this screen:

Maybe its the 6589 after all, hard to say. I heard it's the firmware they used on the first release that's the problem, but who knows really, will find out the truth in the end. Someone reported that elixir 2 found the correct specs and that its MT6589 just that 2 cores are not being used on the firmware. Unfortunately I don't have the phone any more as I gave it away as a gift to my friend so can't perform any tests or grab the ROM data you need. If it is only dual core, I doubt any resellers would of even known, resellers are not so tech savy, they just sell the specs what they are told when they purchase from factories.
The ability to diagnose specs is fairly limited for a reseller. When I had the phone in my possession I watched a few review vids to find out more info and one was from the reseller you mentioned and funnily enough they did an antutu and it showed up as dual core, so it's not like they are trying to hide that antutu says that.
Good luck in your quest!
hello.
I think we have the same goophne.
I read with mobileuncletools:
Ok root (superuser already installed)
CPU
Processor = 7 ARMV processor rev. 0 (V7L)
= MT6589 hardware (really?)
KERNEL
Version3.0.13 = linux kernel (root @ versionserver-desktop) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC)) # 1 SMP PREEMPT fri 8 March 2013 14:13:50 CSt
OS
Brand = alps
Models = iPhone5
Product = mobitak77_m01_ics2
Display = ALPS.ICS2.MP.V1.18
SCREEN
Width = 480
Higth = 854
Density = 240 Dpi
RAM MEMORY
Mem total = 1922480Kb
it is very nice and is very fast (1536MHz (x2) with AnTuTu Benchmark 8540) but I have a problem. the phone does not mount sd card.

Hi Gabriele75,
I have the same phone as well, where did you buy yours?, my SD card died and I had to replace it (used a 16g instead), can you read the card when put in a computer? Personally I would replace it with a 16g or 32g then try resolving the mounting problem it may be a faulty card.
Just wondering if you have made a full ROM back up using SP Flash or MTK Droid? If you have or are willing too, please upload to a freeware site with a link on here please for those of us that need a copy to revive our phones.
kind regards
Hi friends!
Unfortunately, my concerns are justified....
- Linux kernel is only 3.0.13 is too low to run Android 4.1 let alone 4.2. You need a 3.4.0 kernel for Jelly Bean.
- It is the only MTK6589 phone available to support 3G outside of 850/2100. Those frequencies are for the MTK6577, which does support those bands.
- CPU Model: Dual Core A7… Bit weird, isn’t it meant to be a quad core chip?
- Invalid GPU SGX531, which just happens to be the MTK6577 GPU. The MTK6589 chipset uses the SGX544. The chipset comes with CPU, GPU, and the modem all together you cannot chop and change them.
- Processor works on ~ 1.5Ghz. Every credible MTK6589 device (THL W8, Zopo, etc) is 1.2Ghz.
Can you verify this for videos on youtube ...
I sent the phone back to the seller.
Best regards,

You bought a fake of a fake. There is NO MTK6589 in an iPhone fake available. I made a backup of such thing with MTKDroid, you can download it here:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/46rs1lht4uep/n/iPhone_130125_backup_130417-152744_zip
In fact you may bought a device with mtk6575 and 480 x 854 pixel.

Hi Guys,

Maybe someone with more know how can help me out.

Any help would be most grateful, as I'm stumped and would love to be able to Root this thing.
Cheers Guys
A bit more info using Moborobo
It says rooted but can't gain root access

is this your tab??
well, it seems like a Chinese tab...
and the brand is UNKNOWN so rooting this tab or searching for stock firmwares is not a good idea...you won't find any trusted sources.
So careful when you look for these stuff
What's this ? - It is simple request for GT-P75xx owners to share their build info.
Why ? - Some SGT 10.1 can't run CWM Recovery higher than 5.5.0.4 or JB. We are at least 2 who have started thread about our issues. The links are at the end of this but in short, our tabs hang on a black screen when we flash CWM Recovery 6.x or any JB rom. While trying to find a solution (or at least what's causing this), something interesting came up, our build info seems different.
Partial build info from the 2 tabs that don't work.
Hardware: p3
Board: GT-P7500V on mine, GT-P7510 on the other one
Device: GT-P7500V on mine, GT-P7510 on Adam's
Partial build info from 2 tabs that DO work
Hardware: p3
Board: p3
Device: p4
So we're wondering now if this issue has anything to do with the Board and Device values but data from only 4 tabs is not enough to draw a conclusion.
I want to collect info on tabs that can or can't run CWM 6/JB and compare 5 fields from the build info to see if it's conclusive. If we find only one tab running CWM6/JB that has the model number in the Board and Device fields then we'll know it's not the problem.
This is why I need your help.
If you own a rooted GT-P75xx and wish to help, please use "Android System Info" from the Play Store or any other method you like to get your build info and post the following information.

You know, those values are actually in build.prop. I believe mine is p4 because I'm running aosp ROM. For stock based ROMs I think it is P7500/P7510. Hence, yours is P7500V. You can flash cm9 right? Then flash it and check your build.prop.

I realize they're in build.prop but I am wondering if the values put there by Samsung are indicative of some different hardware that can't run newer recoveries and JB.
Android: JB 4.2.2
Recovery: TWRP 2.6.0.0 (I had CWM 6.0.3.0 before)
Bootloader: P7500XXLA1
Hardware: p3
Board: p3
Device: p4wifi

Product: GT-P7510
Here is my infos of my Videotron P7500V after i "Pimped" it to CM10.1
Work flawlessly... And its not a p3 or p4, its a P4TMO so use the Bootloader from the tmobile is version to get it booting past cwm 5.0.3.3 !
Ill post a tutorials as soon as i get on my computer so stay in touch !

I own a NAXA brand android tablet, actually is "NAXA CORE" model NID-1006.
ARM Cortex-A7 quad core @ 1.3 Ghz.
I'm trying to root it and I would like some information from somewhere here before I attempt anything. Has anyone managed to successfully root this device? And if so, what did you use and what steps did you take?
Any information would be helpful.

I'll give this a friendly bump. Was considering getting one of these cheaper tablets, but knowing there is a root out would be nice.
Small update. I've run both versions of Kingo Root on it, the desktop one over usb, and the APK version and while they "Appear" to work, that is.... they say "Successful!" and reboot the tablet.. it never works. When it comes back up I run root checker and it says not rooted.
So does anyone else have any remote ideas what I could try with this thing?
If anyone needs me to get and run some tool to scan it or something just ask, I'll cooperate.
I'll give one more try and ask politely for any help for this.. or if anyone could at least point me in the direction of where I could try and get this thing rooted? Something else to try?
If there's no replies this time I guess I'm forced to give up on the hope of ever rooting this thing and let this thread die naturally.
