NAXA Core NID-1006 [ROOT HELP] - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I own a NAXA brand android tablet, actually is "NAXA CORE" model NID-1006.
ARM Cortex-A7 quad core @ 1.3 Ghz.
I'm trying to root it and I would like some information from somewhere here before I attempt anything. Has anyone managed to successfully root this device? And if so, what did you use and what steps did you take?
Any information would be helpful.
Some more info on the tablet from CPU-Z:
SoC:
ARM Cortex A7 @ 1.30 Ghz (4 CPUs)
Revision: r0p3
GPU: Mali-450MP
Device:
Model: NID-1006 (W109G_1504033)
Manufacturer: alps
Hardware: mt8127
System:
Android Version: 5.0
API Level: 21
Bootloader: Unknown
Build ID: NID-1006_W109G_1504033
Kernel Architecture: armv71
Kernel Version: 3.10.54 (1432093087)

I'll give this a friendly bump. Was considering getting one of these cheaper tablets, but knowing there is a root out would be nice.

Small update. I've run both versions of Kingo Root on it, the desktop one over usb, and the APK version and while they "Appear" to work, that is.... they say "Successful!" and reboot the tablet.. it never works. When it comes back up I run root checker and it says not rooted.
So does anyone else have any remote ideas what I could try with this thing?
If anyone needs me to get and run some tool to scan it or something just ask, I'll cooperate.

I'll give one more try and ask politely for any help for this.. or if anyone could at least point me in the direction of where I could try and get this thing rooted? Something else to try?
If there's no replies this time I guess I'm forced to give up on the hope of ever rooting this thing and let this thread die naturally.

What is my device?

Hello all,
I bought an a-pad/e-pad which came in a Superpad 3 box. Upon research it is a very hard device to locate. I am looking to root it and install a custom rom to speed up and customize the device (as we all do).
I also understand there is not much development but surely there must be one person that can point me in the direction? There is 2 roms I found for a similar device the Flytouch but I am uncertain that the rom will work on the device.
The roms I have found is Tim6a and Axlien
About Device
Model Number: Android P1001R
Android version: V2.3 2011-12-07 (001112)
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #232
Build Number: FRF85B
I downloaded the "Device Info" app to see more of the details. This is what I got:
Hardware
Manufacturer: Unknown
Model: Mercury
Hardware: imapx200
Board: Unknown
Device: Mercury
Brand: Generic
CPU: ARMv6-Compatible processor rev 5 (v6l)
Software
Android Version 2.2 - Was advertised with 2.3 !!!
Bootloader: Unknown
Unfortunately this sounds like it is a clone. The apads that I know of are all ARMv7 compatible processors. That and the fact that the About device lists the version as V2.3 2011-12-07 which would be GB but yet it is truly 2.2 just changed to say 2.3 and probably skinned to look and act a little like GB.

[Q] Spreadtrum One: Rooting, CWM and ROM-ing

Hi all
I've rooted and flashed my past few HTC devices without issue thanks to all the great info here, but have now stumbled onto a more challenging android handset!
My nephew has purchased a cheap HTC One M8 copycat from a market seller here in Taiwan, with the expected result being that he's somewhat disappointed with the end result! It's now fallen to me to see if I can do anything with it. Since it's a copycat I have absolutely no idea what it really is on the inside.
I ran VROOT on it as I heard that worked quite well with Spreadtrum devices which I gathered this to be. VROOT was successful in rooting it, but since then is unable to connect or recognise the device. In Windows Device Manager I can see the phone connected as a YunOs phone, but there is still an incomplete (yellow exclamation marked) Spreadtrum device that has yet to install correctly.
I've included below all of the information that I can get from the handset - if anyone thinks its possible to flash any kind of standard AOSP rom onto this device I'd be glad to hear any and all advice you can give!

Also some pics of the handset if anyone is at all interested in the latest knock-off M8 on the market...!
There really is not much you can do. No kernel source or even stock roms for it.

That was what I feared. In that case I will use it as an excellent opportunity for experimentation and potentially irreversible damage!
For anyone stumbling onto this thread, here are the resources I've found so far to help you out.

I'm sure you're no longer searching for the answer but here it is for those that come against it.
Long Answer: It depends, if the developer supports open source on their hardware and provides everything for a complete root of the device. Then if that is the case you would need to have all the exact model numbers and hardware versions for your chips. WiFi, Bluetooth, North bridge, South Bridge, etc etc. Then you would need to compile the kernels for all of those into your operating system. After that you would need to reconfigure your bios to to boot from the medium you put the completed image on. After that you would need to carefully install the OS. My guess is it wouldn't work the first time and you would have to do some tinkering to get to work properly. After all that you no longer have support on the device. All of that would be null and void.
Short Answer: Your better off just buying a micro PC for 150 on Amazon and using that. The potential for disaster with a non IT Expert is just plan Russian roulette. At that it only may be possible your hardware vendor could not support rooting the device. Then you would need to see if others have built a root package that unlocks the boot from as well.
