I am New to android
have problems upgrading android version from 4.0.4 ICS to 4.1.1 JB
I Dont know what to do (bootloader, root etc)
Cuz i am new... can i get the complete tutorial ?

I stuck in a problem while updating my phone. I want to root my phone without upgrading it on ics currently iam using gb. Iam doing this so because i wanted to backup my original firmware before flashing any rom. please help

Just had a new SGS2 i9100P.
It is on Gingerbread stock, not rooted, simlocked.
What do I need to do to have it :
1) rooted
2) updated to CM12
Do I need to update it to stock JB from Kies ?
Or do I need to root it first with a CF Root method ? Which thread for this ?

You should update to stock JB first using kies then root your device.
