Title says it all. Any ideas?
It might and might not work in North America, because in UK the power current is 220V whereas in US it's 120V but it the power input for the adapter is from 120V to 220V then it will work. And also the plug might be different, so you might need a "UK to USA Plug Adapter".
no it will not work. you can either get a USB>Wall adapter, or you can go out and buy any microUSB charger. ive been buying samsung phones from the UK for 4 years now, the chargers are useless for us. you CAN however buy a UK>USA adapter at radio shack for 9 dollars (best option)

Hi, I live in Canada and my galaxy s3 came with a international charger from Europe. Obviously I can't use that charger here.. But will buying a europe to USA adapter here be good enough? Will it damage the device if I charge it that way?

my standerd mains charger has a removable plug in section. so i was wondering if HTC make the interchangable ends for use in europe or usa ect... and were i could purchase them for not alot of money in the UK
also a space USB cable, were would i get one for cheap in the uk? would be handy to keep a spare as i hear they do break.
Thanks
i bought a second charger on ebay to get a second USB cable, cost 6 dollars shipped
dont know where to buy foreign plug adapters though
If you read the label on the adapter itself, you will see it is compatible with a wide range of voltages and frequencies. Its actually a small transformer, and you will notice that laptop power supplies also have the same "worldwide" compatibility. So all you actually need is a plug adapter to actually get the prongs to fit into the wall outlets of the countries you intend to travel to. You can usually get these for a few bucks at travel stores, airports, and other places. This is the cheapest way to do it, and that way you can often use those adapters with your other electric devices (electric razor, iPod, whatever) depending on the electrical specs of those devices.
The Gtab came with a power supply that can be changed to fit different countries. It came, of course, with an adapter for the North American market. I'm going on a ttrip, in a few days, to Europe and will need different adapters. Where can I get them?
Opposite problem: Mine just arrived from Woot! and it came with the European adapter!!! I live in the US, so that's a big problem...I can't charge the damn thing!
I am planning on getting myself a BestBuy Wifi flyer from the USA. But then I remembered that the mains supply in the states is of 110V where as in India, we have 220V mains supply.
So the question is that will the supplied charger (adapter) work here in India? Does it have a variable input range e.g. 100~240V like most chargers today do? Or am I stuck at 110V and have to use some special equipment?
Pls Help.
Thank you.
The US power adapter is rated for 100-240 VAC and 50-60HZ so you should be ok with it.
Yes it will work, just like most electronics. I've used electronics bought from the US in India, China, and European countries and they all worked fine. Just make sure you have the adapter so that your charger will be compatible with the wall socket.
what about customs bro..heard dat items costing more than 5k rupees are being held up and they ask us to give some declaration and lots of hassles....
how wil u manage dat ???
Using a adapter, unless it is has a chip to switch the voltages (such as the one found in notebook an adapters) is a bad idea since the US one is meant for 110, you stick that in a 220 outlet it'll fry, potentially your tab too. Just get a micro usb charger there and charge the tab...

Incorrect, the adapter is a "switching power supply" and is rated for 110-220v @ 50 -60HZ.
I know this because it says so, right on the label on the power adapter. But that is also the case for most smart phone chargers.

You're right, I was thinking in terms of items without the power supply adapter, well ones that don't have the smart chip which I mentioned.

Hello,
The white cable which came with the PRO 12.2 is a bit too short for me. I am looking for one which is about 30-50% longer. Can't find it on Samsung website. Any recommendation? Do thicker cables and cables made of better materials lead to faster charging?
I bought the Note PRO 12.2 LTE in Hong Kong. The charger has 3 legs (one extendable) for the electric outlet. Is there a Samsung official charger or adapter kit that I can use in the US, Japan and China?
Thanks.
Hey bud eBay 10ft cables and they have international chargers see them today

Thanks but I usually don't buy from ebay. Given the cost of the Note Pro, I am looking for high quality products from well known companies. Ordering through Amazon is fine.
Actually what kind of usb cable came with our PRO 12.2? Is it just a normal USB 3.0 cable? Any specification on its impedance?
Hello, local stores have the following Samsung chargers. Which one is fully compatible with our PRO 12.2?
USB Travel Adapter for N7100 Galaxy Note II ETA-U90 EWE
Travel Adapter for S4 ETA-U90CBC

You would be better off with the Samsung Note 3 (N900) Travel Adapter / Charger, and the Note 3 USB3 Cables if you can find them as Official Samsung products.
Here is the Official Note 3 Travel Adapter:
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EP-TA10JWEQSTA
Amazon have it listed as:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-21-Pin-Travel-Charger-Packaging/dp/B00K3MH7IS
However the cable length is not as big as the Official NotePRO 12.2 cable, as I have purchased both and the one that comes with the Note 3 Travel Adapter is much shorter.
Thanks, so I just get the Samsung Note 3 (N900) Travel Adapter / Charger and use it with the usb3 cable which came with the Note PRO 12.2?
I was told that the length of usb3 cables from Samsung is <= 5 feet. If I want longer one, I need to go for 3rd party products. Any recommendation? As you may know, some iPhone users used unofficial products and had their phones damaged or got killed. We have already paid a lot for our Note PRO already. It is better to get a good quality cable from reputable company.
The official charger for the Note 3 is identical to the one of the NotePro. It's called Travel Adapter even straight from the box of the phone itself. It works with the NotePro cable without issue. (I'm using them both interchangably to charge my NotePro and Note 3.)
Apple installed some kind of sensor in their devices that breaks things when they're not using official equipment. Samsung has no such thing. (They tried it with the View covers, didn't go so well.)
Most decent USB 3.0 cables are fine. USB2.0 also shouldn't make any difference in terms of charging speed, it only affects transfer speed.
So I've got the UHC 20 charger included in my Z5P. However, this one's imported from Clove UK (I'm from Canada) so I think it's designed specifically for UK use as it's got this three-prong thing (I don't know what it's called.) What should I buy to get it working here in Canada? Is there like an adapter I can put in the charger to make it work. I've attached a picture for reference. Also, is this a quick charger?
There are adapters you could get but honestly, I'd just buy a Qualcomm certified quick charger...they are quite inexpensive now...I think Amazon has some as cheap as $9

I've seen them in Dollerama in Canada... Also any electronics store will have adapters, I would link you to a photo of one but XDA wont let me post links as I'm too new

ending part that is the USA type.
Uch20 is only a standard charger, for the cost of a region adapter you may as well buy a USA spec Sony adapter.

You should be able to get a travel adapter for that. Can be acquired from the airport. I got mine from Heathrow a while back.

Yeah, or any Qualcomm QC2.0 certified charger.
http://www.amazon.com/Qualcomm-Certified-Charge-CHOETECH-Charger/dp/B00UBK9M08/ is excellent
I have a Powergen wall charger that's great, I can't find it now, but http://www.amazon.com/Qualcomm-Certified-Anker-PowerPort-Technology/dp/B014F3D8FQ/ should work just as well.
http://www.amazon.com/Swiftrans-Charger-Adapter-Samsung-Support/dp/B00ZZG6IKU/ - good car charger
What's the model number for the U.S. Compatible Sony charger? Any one who got the Canadian Z5P what model number does it say on your charger?
