Searched the forum and didn't see any info on this..so my question is....
I'm using XDA Premuim app and it just updated. I now see it using CPU cycles long after I have exited the app. Using OS Monitor and System Panel, I came up with these screenshot over a 2 hour period. The phone was just sitting on my desk with the screen off and no app open. I'm on SHOstock2 v2.2.4 and if I uninstall XDA, battery life is noticeably better. Tried Tapatalk app, and the same result.
Anyone else seeing this ?
@Mod..If this should be in Apps & Themes section, feel free to move it
I gave my 5 year old son my old Galaxy S. He loves it and it pretty good with it but he keeps going into the app drawer and going into things he's not supposed to.
Is there a way to lock to app drawer?
I tried Go Launcher and I was able to remove the app drawer. However if he hits the menu button in go launcher, he'd be able to do a whole lot of damage. lol
The phone's rooted, if that helps
Any ideas?
There's an option in go launcher to to hide icons from app drawer

I have no idea what this is called or I wouldn't be asking on here. When I had the stock rom and I do a text or something I would always have little number on the top right of the app launcher to teller how any messages I have. Now since flashing devil toast,I don't. Is there an app for getting them back? Cheers

not sure if this is what you want:
settings>system>status bar>show notification count
if you want a count of unread messages, you're going to have to look into the settings of your messaging app.
hope this helps
Thanks but that's not what I'm looking for,I already have that on. I mean the little numbers over the app itself that tell you how many messages I have. E.g. when I receive a text,I get the notification in the status bar and on the text app itself. Sorry if I'm describing it wrong I just don't know how else to word it

I believe the problem is that the AOSP messaging app that devil toast uses doesn't support that feature. The stock Rom uses HTC's messaging app which has the unread icon on the app shortcut. Anytime I've used an AOSP messaging app, it only shows notifications in the status bar, not on the app shortcut.

Ahh that's a shame, I didn't think I'd miss it to be honest but I can live without it. Thanks anyway!

Is there a way to rearrange the notification icons ie. Bluetooth, Gps, Vibrate etc?
Thanks
