sounds like a soft brick i would make a jig and reflash back to stock with odin then start over again but get titanium backup after reflash to stock
You need to download the samsung drivers for the computer from your computer. Then your phone will be recognized.
I originally downloaded mine from the fascinate rooting thread on android central's fascinate forum.
Then Odin a .tar of your liking to get your phone working again.

hi guys, im quite having a problem flashing this phone using ODIN. it gives me an error the parameter is incorrect, can you please help me with this.
the history of this phone was hard bricked by my big brother after changing the kernel and doing a factory reset to it. he doesnt know that there is a brick bug on ICS official release. now the phone was revived by MEDUSA box by an old friend but now the problem is, it doesnt wanna flash firmware. it goes on download mode but gives an error. i am flashing GT-SI9100, firmware i tried to put on ODIN is GT-I9100_XSP_I9100DXKL3_I9100OLCKL2_I9100DXKL1.tar.MD5.
Any help would be gladly appreciated. tnx in advance

im using ODIN3-v1.85 and as well tried the v3.04 still gives me same error, now im trying to download the firmware again that i will flash. i hope this this turns on properly. did you encounter same error before? and do you have an idea to fix this
Not sure what the CM updater uses, but I have tried to update with Philz, got stuck in an installation loop of the update itself.
Tried to use my jig and flash back to stock right now, got into download mode and was able to flash back to stock, but right now, I got into download with the jig, flashed stock ROM, and got a bootloop but am UNABLE to get into any recovery at all.
Pretty screwed up. Really need some suggestions here, guys.
Any ideas?!
I can get into download mode and flash via Odin (USB drivers installed via Windows 8)
Flashes successfully, installs stock recovery, reboots into bootloop.
No idea how to fix it.
Not a noob here. Nothing is working.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same problem and I ended up finding a working CWM tar file that can be installed using ODIN and I was then able to boot into CWM fine.
This is the exact file name: recovery-cwmtouch-6.0.2.7-GTI9300
I don't remember where I downloaded it from, but if you Google the exact file name I am pretty sure you'll find it. Just flash it using Odin and you'll be good to go.

Well, now I'm even more f****ed than before, because I had a zero count, but after trying this, I got a custom count in download, and I still cannot get into recovery.
Nothing works.
Bye, bye warranty.
Edit:
The 6.0.2.7 version by MSKIP worked, but the updated one did not.
I got recovery, now I'll see if I can flash stock and recovery to get my counter back to zero.
Sorry to hear about the counter. I'd suggest rooting your device, installing Triangle Away, resetting your flash counter and then finally unrooting your device by installing stock ROM from SamMobile or such. That's the best route if you want your warranty to remain intact.

He probably needs a booting phone first.
But like he said, he's not a noob. He knows all that

Hi all,
I am stuck in the very same problem as of today!
I don't know what to do!
One more weird symptom is that when I tried to charge the Note battery..it suddenly went to bootloop again!
The battery was 100% at the begining of that damn update process!
I don't know what to do..all suggestions are so welcomed.

If you have a Note, then advice we give here may not be relevant and may be unsafe.
I purchased a blacklisted Brand new Samsung s5 from the states and its with t mobile, I live in Canada.. I successfully unlocked it but I cannot make phone calls or text messages but I can use data. The carrier I am trying to use it with is Wind Mobile. Any ideas?
Try using Odin 4,20 to flash the Wind mobile firmware (G900W8VLU1AND1) on your phone. You'll need to root first.

Thanks for the info. I tried everything and then it got soft bricked. Would it be because of the firmware is bad? I rooted the phone and verified it was rooted, I downloaded the package you told me to, I then downloaded Odin pro and selected the firmware then started to flash it. Then after it rebooted it stayed in a reboot loop.
Its usually a really bad idea to flash firmware from another model of phone, you will usually brick it.

Sorry to hear you're having a problem. This post may be of interest. Mobile Odin 4.20 seems to solve the problem.

Bottom line you can always flash the American t mobile firmware if you can't get into recovery.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SM-G900T&pcode=0#firmware
I officially flashed to to Wind mobile, but I Still only get data and cannot make calls. Any Ideas?
Hi All,
I was trying to flash my phone with new firmware but the phone went mad and now keep rebooting with the Fail to open recovery_cause message. No chance to shut down or put in down mode.
Please help as at the moment the phone keeps rebooting and just worried will break down at some point.
Thanks
Is it stock rom or custom rom that you flashed into the phone?

The firmaware was downloaded from SamMobile
Tried to recap what went wrong. Actually, on Odin, I have only put one file not remember if it was Ap or the CP and pressed start. Phone went mad and paniking I swhitched off the laptop. The damage was already done.
Hopefully, I did not lose £200.
