I don't think you can can you? But I wouldn't worry, it'll come in time. I have a lot of faith, especially with how fast everything else is happening. The phone has only been out 2 weeks today and we have perm-root and recovery both fully working. Now just to get some ROMs going and hopefully full dual-core support.
You should be able to do it through recovery in the form of an update.zip file.

Can you please be kind enough to test this for me... Will the entire Rom flash if its renamed to update.zip including the kernel...?

That depends on the rom that's being flashed. Make a custom kernel in the form of a boot.img and I'll try to test it by recovery.

With the htc unlocked method you might have to flash kernels by booting recovery from fastboot because it has the proper permissions

The kernels I have used have also included system material as well as the boot.img - will that limit what can be done?

So the kernels would have to be a separate zip from the Rom?

Not necessarily. Many developers include a custom kernel with their roms.

you must have unlocked bootloader in order to install ICS rom.
has anyone made a custom rom with stock kernel so us non unlocked bootloaders can have a custom rom too?
or can someone go about telling me how to add the stock kernel in.
Try CyanogenMod 9.
Doesnt it require unlocked bootloader?

Hi
I have unlocked my bootloader and rooted my device, but I'll still have S-on. Are there any roms that I can flash without having to S-off. I have ext4 recovery installed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Well actually what can be flashed depends on your bootloader. If you have been using stock sense GB then you can flash any aosp ROM and a few of the custom ICS sense Roms. If you have updated to sense ICS then you can only run sense ICS based Roms.

I think he had the 'stock ics' bootloader which is the 1.53 and the nonsense ics ROMs are working too on this for example miui rom

Well then there are two things you can do. Run sense ICS Roms (this includes the sense ICS miui by dh the old one not the newest one) or get s-off and change bootloaders.

Eh.
i would recommend you do the wire trick, as it does open up this phone to a lot more updated ROMs and features
but as of now, you should be able to flash anything sense and/or/ics
