Google Play Music is now live in the UK with the new Music Matching service. I, like many, used a UK/US tunnel app about a year ago to be able to get Play Music and have been enjoying streaming my 'owned forever' (Spotify etc...) and not on my device (iStuff), so why do I need a 32mb phone!!!! (Galaxy Nexus (Nexus 4 when they finally put it up for sale) ever since.
However, now the difficult bit comes......
How do I change my Play Music Account to switch my email from the US site to UK?
Cheers,
Tim

I thought it would just work?
I am in the same boat, haven't tried it yet though!
It appears all that 'frigged' to US are not able to use the Music Matching service. I am quite happy to have all of my music 'removed' and re-upload with Music Matching. There is also the issue with Charts and Purchases still being in US and therefore I cannot buy anything as my 'card' is UK based.

Well I havent bought anything via the US store, I just use the music storage and streaming facility!
Me too, but with the UK Wallet now getting 'cards' and 'gifts' it means we can give/request them as Christmas presents!!!!
Im in the same position, but am not seeing any sort of option for this at all?
Same scenario as the rest of you - UK user, created an account via proxy last year. Scan and match service not working.
In desperation I deleted my entire library to see if this would reset the account - it didn't! :crying:
Have opened a support ticket with Google, will post any updates as and when I hear.
Will be monitoring this thread to see if anyone has a fix

I have a "frigged" Google music account I activated via proxy too.
I uninstalled Google Music on my UK GS3 and when I reinstalled the app the shopping bag was in the Music with prices for songs and albums in GBP.
On my Xoom with US ROM I forced stopped, cleared data and un-installed updates, then updated the app via the play store and the link to the Music Store appeared, this time all in GBP
I have deleted my library and will be watching this thread as music match is, in principal, a great solution.
Just to let you all know - I've had a reply from Google requesting a screen shot of the 'Google Recommends' page listing all song prices in US Dollars.
We'll see where we go from here!
this is very frustrating!
got my nexus a couple of weeks ago and got a bit over excited so signed up for google music using a proxy, then after seeing the poor upload speed I have, decided to wait for the new wonderful scan and match service - so far I haven't got it to work, tried deleting everything from before, including anything I had already uploaded - but it just won't match anything for me, have managed a couple of hundred tunes uploaded in 15 hours, but I'm away tomorrow so my grand plan for using the match service is well and truly rubber ducked!
if anyone figures this out, please shout, very loudly:good:
Same problem here, set up by a proxy 6 months or so ago. I would delete and re-upload by library (even though this would pain me with 10K+ tracks) but it doesn't sound like this fixes the issue. It's all very frustrating.
I will submit a support ticket too and hopefully Google with fix it. Admittedly it is our fault for bodging it, but in fairness Google didn't make it too difficult to do and weren't seemingly bothered. After-all it is only because we're all Android/Google enthusiasts that we bothered doing it in the first place! Fingers crossed for a fix ASAP.
I have received 2 emails back from my own ticket, both not of use:
1. Change the upload location (it's not the upload location of issue)
2. Check my wallet has a UK address (it does)
I have asked for them to change my 'Play connection' from US to UK, or delete my Play subscription completely so as I can reconnect.
Note, like a previous person, I have Clear All Data on my app and Uninstalled Updates. Reinstalling from the play store now bring up a new app with a 'Shopping Bag' for GBP purchases (however, I am still a US user!!!)
How do you know when it is enabled?

Google: Did you ever use a US IP address as a workaround to get to Google Music?
Tim: Yes, to be able to register for Google Music (before it was available in the UK) I used a Tunnel app to set my IP to US and then registered. Once Registered I set my IP back to UK
Google: Can you see if you were tyo change your IP to its true location the issue persists?
Tim: I am back to my true location. Google Music only checks the IP location on 1st setup. After that you change it back to UK so everything else works. When I access google music from any device it goes to the US site
Google: To be clear, changing your IP back to UK the issue has resolved itself!!!!!
Tim: No, it has not resolved itself!. "Repeat of previous message", i.e. 1st setup of GM needed US IP, then you set your IP back. If you access from any device - all with different IP's obviously!!!!!! then I get to the US site!!!!!
Does anyone else anything useful from their Google Techs as mine is clearly not aware that IP's exist on different device and generally are not static!

What worries me about all this is that we're all dealing with different members of support staff, all of whom seem to be oblivious to everyone else's problem. That suggests to me that it hasn't escalated to anyone who has evolved opposable thumbs that there is a problem to fix....

Hi guys,
Now that linkedin has discontinued the old legacy pulse news reader, does anybody have any alternative recommendations?
Preferably a grid based system say the row shows chronological order of the posts and the column for different RSS feeds.
One that also doesn't just link to web links directly but just shows the shortened version from the RSS feed in itself?
Many thanks!!
Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk
I've been scouring the web the last few days myself trying to find the same. I use news 360 for their widget. But only for a broad subject like Geek Culture. What kept me coming back to pulse and what I'm looking for in a reader is the verticle feed list with a scrollable horizontal row for each feed. Made scanning headlines and read stories much more seemless to me. Unfortunately seems most other apps are magazine/ flipboard style or have a bad flow.
This isn't good news as I used the web version and the tablet.... Since then though I have started using Inoreader which has a web version and tablet so it syncs across platforms. It's not a direct replacement but its doing ok until something better comes along
---------- Post added at 03:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:35 PM ----------
im also trying Feedly which works across platforms
I've been using freely the last few days and though it's not a perfect replacement after playing around with and tweaking the settings I've found that it's actually not a bad replacement and even may wind up liking it more.
You can set it to list view instead of magazine. For my one feed widget I just create a new topic with only that feed.
And you can set it to show all stories so they don't disappear after reading as well which was going to be a deal breaker till I found that option.
Have you tried this one: RSS Reader Xoonity?

Hi I own a gear fit 2 and did some wlaking. It nicely shows my speed and heart rate on S Health. But I saw some pics with maps. Does anyone know how to make them visible, either on the fit2 itself or on S Haealth?

on fit 2: main menu, then training, then on the bottom: show log, then select your workout and scroll to the bottom for the map
on s health, (have it synced with fit 2), find the type of activity, then under trends you can find your workout and just tap it to get all the details

I found that already but it appears that there is not always a map there, at least when I did my first walk.. Maybe this has to do with having a gps fix or not.
One more thing: there is a whole bunch of data on that page, but I miss the number of steps I took. Is that still hidden somewhere (still used to my fitbit)?
I was just wondering myself. If you figure it out please post the solution.

Funny, I saw the OP but never say your reply since I was on my phone. I got back after my run and found the map exactly as you have laid out here. Thanks.
No map too
I have same problem today. I run and the GPS work well. I saw my running route displayed in the log but not the map. I tried sync with s health but it still did not work. Anyone know how to display the map so that I can share it on my facebook?

I tried your instruction. Still no map displayed
You must activate location checkbox on setting "exercice" in the Fit2 app
When you start an exercice you see the GPS icon (same that on the phone) blinking until the Fit2 Fix location.

Thanks dersie. But I can confirm the location is lit green by default. I never switch it off. In fact the GPS is working because I can see my running route been traced but there is no map.
Me too
I have a similar issue, but with me, the mapping only seems to work when connected to the phone via bluetooth. if the phone is not present, then the mapping does not work. Is this the case?

The map is sending by the phone at least first time. So I think the Fit2 can not display a map if it is not received (so not paired) by the phone. GPS record only GPX data but it need map picture to stack data on real map.
Hi, anyone got the solution to display map on gear fit 2?
It worked for me once when I was hiking in Korea. The map was displayed in both my fit2 and later in my facebook posting. After I returned to Singapore (my home), I used fit2 for runs twice and no map appeared on my watch both times. I also cannot display the map in my facebook as a result. I will go down to Samsung service centre to ask for their advice soon. Stay tuned for updates.
Is your phone connected to data (3G/4G) during the exercise? if not, then you can maybe try it and tell us.
Of course the Bluetooth between the smartphone and the gear fit 2 must be activated.
I think that since the Gear Fit 2 doesn't have the map of every country on his memory, it has to get those data through the phone.
The problem is how to load our local map into the Gear Fit 2.
Would like this solution as well. I purchased mine from Korea, am currently residing in Singapore which doesn't display the map on my fit 2.

Please let me know. Thanks!
I believe because the Korean set use Naver Map instead of Here Map used by the international set, you can see Naver logo bottom left of the map in your fit2 device. Naver map only cover korea and Japan I think.
The map should be embedded inside the firmware, need to find a way to flash it with international/US set firmware
I have the same problem. I solve doing a Light reset. The mapping with the trajectory become visible
And after 4 days the problem returns. A Ligh reset again ...
I'm in the same boat, I don't see anywhere in the Gear Fit2 app or on the watch itself to display or access GPS data. As far as I can tell, there's no "Training" section anywhere on the watch
e: Ok, so under the exercise tab, you can scroll down and view the log, but still no GPS data or maps are present, though you can drill down into an activity and it'll tell you the time, mileage, and calories and offer to share with facebook
That's exactly the screen that the GPS data *should* be on. The one that lets you share on FB. So once you get your phone to download the map data and have a clear view of the sky at the same time, while having started an exercise on the fit itself (like walking, for instance), you should see the map data.
Just wish they'd let you do a bit more with the map after the fact. Like satellite view, for instance...

With GPS and a great screen for outdoors the Amazfit Pace is an excellent candidate to use as a Golf GPS distance aid :good:
Has anyone got any suggestions of what Golf GPS apps might work. I tried installing the trial app GolfDistance but it failed to install with "unknown error". Its a pity as GolfDistance seems to fit the bill as a basic gps aid and you can map your course on another device and then just side load the gps course data to the Amazfit as necessary.
As ever any help or suggestions appreciated.
Amazfit Pace Golf GPS solution
I've been looking for a golf gps app for the amazfit pace and with help from the below post have managed to get a possible solution where any golfers can use the Amazfit Pace as a Golf gps rangefinder.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/apk-maps-amazfit-watch-offline-gps-t3629809
Firstly, to install the app I used the below easy method which is also useful if you need to uninstall any apps from your Amazfit.
https://www.smartwatchspecifications.com/install-android-apk-apps-amazfit-pace/
Basically on your main device, you map your course with a set of waypoints with one for each hole. Once finished you transfer your map data & waypoints to the amazfit. When you use the app on the amazift you highlight the desired waypoint eg: Hole-01 and then "set target as" and you get the range for the current hole and then reset the next target as necessary.
See below images from my Amazfit:

The Offlinemaps app is by psyberia, the paid app has no ads so you get the benefit of the full screen.

Let me know if anyone has a better solution, hope others may find this useful
Hello,
It think that the application "Hole19 Golf GPS for Smartwatch" is compatible with the Statos.
But I can't find the APK file.

I was talking about "Hole19 Golf GPS for Smartwatch" which have to be installed on the watch.
"Golf GPS & Scorecard - Hole19" is only for the smartphone.
Any one has checked if in this smart watch you can install the Golf Pad app? is working? can you see the information or it is not possible, becuase I am not only looking to install, as well to introduce the data using the watch instead of the app and see the distance
Hole19 Golf GPS for Smartwatch is for wear os. So "nothing" really gets installed on the watch.
Offlinemaps app works ok - but when playing different courses and having to set waypoint etc not good! And even just going from 1 hole to the next is problematic.
Really surprising that there is no version for an Android watch that works without a phone(and is made to run on a watch so very limited graphics and intended to be used with ease on a small screen)- That would be great!
Let us hope that someone makes it, but not likely - it would be nearly impossible to sell since the apk would quickly end up on the free sites etc.
Hi dears
I am publishing that also on XDA but I found a trick to see video and images in full screen (by using both).
At first, look at here for a comparison with the Axon M (as you can see border is soo wide for our LG):
You can basically proceed in 2 ways... using the built-in Chrome as media player.
-) Setting up an HTTP Server and then pointing our browser to the local IP and related port (I used SimpleHTTPServer)
-) Browse directly the local resource by using the address file:///SDCARD in the bar of addresses.
I did also a video about here... https://youtu.be/6_G6PHyjzys
It is really smooth with of course all the cons of the big blank band of the device.
Nice hack. You can also install progressive web apps version of Google photos
Nice trick. The full dual-screen mode is the only con of this device. Hope there will be an update to resolve it.

Don;t why LG couldn't reduce the bezel sizes. Using dual screen is kinda pointless with that massive bezel in the middle
I am working on the progressive app for the video playback... but first I have to sort out the default path for the browser as otherwise we can just look into the internal memory.

They could do it smaller but you will probably lose detachable 360° hinge mechanism
