I was looking the cyanogenmod of the 4.0 ice cream sandwich but I wanted to know if its full working and stable, cuz I think that what I'm looking is what is call CM9 but they are releasing Nightly versions every day.
Cuz ICS is officialy released for our S2 but dunno if Cyanogen could already have it done...
If you can live with http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.php/CyanogenMod9:GT-I9100:Nightly:Known_issues then yes, it is.

GTFO of the I9100 forums then, before you do something (else) stoopid.
You intelligence level suggests you should stick to stock ROMs and never flash anything on your device.

Sort of... pitch and roll are aeronautical terms. (See here) If you have the phone flat, home button would roughly correspond to the tail of an airplane. Roll is rotating the phone on the lengthwise axis, pitch is rotating the phone on the horizontal axis. There's a picture that illustrates it in the Wikipedia article I linked.

Curious, for me it's by far the best firmware I've tried. Also, lots of people are reporting great results with KI3. So, I suggest give it a try and go back if you don't like it since what some may dislike the other may love and vice-versa. Regarding the pink spot maybe it's harware related and can't be fixed with firmware updates? I don't know, don't know much about cameras really.
Is there a fix for the bad focus on the camera?

I have the same problem. Sometimes it's not there, but sometimes it's ridiculously visible.

if the pink spot is there I don't see a reason to update, I don't have any problems with my rom XXKG5, I need a fix for the pink spot issue.
Have you tried to search "CAMERAS2" on SamsungApps? There was a firmware for the S2 camera. Some say it fix pink spot (anyway it didn't work for my S2).

Sadly no. 720p/1080p videos still stutter and lag while the camera struggles to focus in low light. Only fix is to lower the exposure to -2.

And I have the pink spot issue, it only appears in specific conditions and it has not been an issue for me, I have never updated firmware or anything.
[Q] Another "Which ROM" Thread: Closest to Samsung Stock without limitations?
Short Question: What ROM is closest to the stock AT&T ROM without the bloatware and WiFi tethering snooping/limitations?
Long Question:
I am not a total buffoon, and have been running custom ROMs since my HTC Blue Angel. This week I upgraded my Telstra T9193 running WinMO and Froyo Super RAM to a stock AT&T SII. This is the first AT&T branded phone I have had in over a decade. Them changing the data plan to have caps and losing my grandfathered in plan of unlimited as being truly unlimited has forced me to switch phones to get the 5GB cap instead of the 3GB cap and then also I have been eligible for an upgrade for 8-9 years and havent because of the data plan.
So I like the look and feel of the stock ROM. However I despise all the AT&T bloatware on there and the lack of WiFi tethering. I have already rooted the device and it is ready to accept a new ROM.
What I am looking for is something that is close to stock, but doesn't have the AT&T contacts, doesn't have any of the pre-installed AT&T apps, doesn't have the limited market (they mask market apps?! WTF!), and doesn't have the AT&T modem that routes tether traffic differently so they can identify phone data versus tether data.
My biggest complaint is tethering. I need that. I use between 4GB and 10GB a month on my phone with data, as that is my internet line 5 days a week. For now I am still using my HTC T9193 until I can get this limitation fixed. The other ones are more of wishlists, but the tethering is a hard requirement.
So any suggestions? I am still looking over the ROM list. Last time I looked for a ROM though, there were a few big players and it was easy to pick which one you jived with best. Now it seems like everyone and there mother is trying to cook a ROM. I just want something that puts the phone back to the way Samsung and Google intended and not the crooks at AT&T...

Lol. The way Google intended Android to be like and the way Samsung does are two very, very different things.
You can go with either one, but not both.
First I'd like to know what model you have, as there are different Galaxy S2's.

What do you mean by "from-carrier phones".
Because the original, international Galaxy S2 is the i9100. The i777 is a carrier modified version. However the i777 is the closest to the i9100 therefore it has good development (even if it's not as good as the original one when it comes to custom roms and such).

Short Answer:
The following are all ICS based:
Pure AOSP - AOKP or CyanogenMod 9
Samsung Based without bloat - Ultimatum, Phone Bricker, ShoStock, etc.
Its on YOU to figure out what YOU want. This thread is probably going to be short lived as "Which ROM" threads are looked down upon.
First: xda has a i777 forum where you might get better help.
Second: The poster above me is right.
Third: I'm in rather good mood so you get a short overview anyway.
Google's gingerbread: CyanogenMod 7
Google's Ice Cream Sandwich:
CyanogenMod 9
Samsung's GB or ICS:
Take a look at the i777 forum as I own an i9100 and don't know the i777 scene.
Maybe worth a look too:
MIUI (the gingerbread version - MIUI v4 sucks). Something entirely different, although I don't know if it's available for the i777.
Hope this helps.

I either buy my phones directly from HTC or from Telstra (Australia). I have never just gone down to the AT&T store and asked for a phone since we got our original Nokia phones near the turn of the millennium.

If it has the AT&T kernel and AT&T modem, then does mean it has the same AT&T WiFi tether blocking that AT&T now does? This is something I will continue to research, but if someone knows, that would be even better.

Nice! See, people do read the info.
I have installed your ROM, and it works perfectly. I am having issues with my WiFi Tethering App (android-wifi-tether, found here: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/) but the built in one works well.
I just wish it had a status to show current speed and total usage for that tethering period. As well as a way to put a shortcut on a homepage.

s-voice for ics only, even then it had to be modified as its exclusive for Samsung s3.
If it worked in gb even if it was not that good, surely it could be made to work in ics.

Mic and camera are at the bottom of the pile of things to do, getting an OS that was never designed for the TouchPad is no easy thing, drivers and wrappers have to be written from scratch with no support from HP. So have faith in the developers, remember most of them are either at full time work or school/college and are offering you there work for free, maybe you could ask HP to fix the camera and mic I think they would abandon that idea faster than they abandoned the TouchPad itself.

Exactly what BIGSimon said. CM9 is still ALPHA. Meaning some things will not work. Not everything that is released is perfect right away. Developing ROMs isn't always an easy task. What they have done in 5 months is pretty damn great.
yeah i know that. but i seem to recall that it at least halfway worked with cm7. plus, in a short time android will have another os version, jellybean or something. and then what? will cm9 be abandoned and work start with that one? and once again, the camera and mic will be pushed back down to the bottom of the list in order to work on more essential things? seems like a endless cycle

There's a big difference between Android 2.3.7 gingerbread and Android 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich which meant everything had to be re-written to work Android 5 jelly bean is more of an evolution of ICS so drivers will carry over, all the work that's been done now will mean that when JB is released the touchpad will get it a lot faster with everything working

JellyBean will be a minor update, it will have a version 4.1, it isn't as huge step as going from 2.3 to 4.0.
Anyway, sound is surely being worked on (developers (partially, maybe) have gotten rid of bad screen-off sound issue last week), and we will see some progress in a time. If you want a tablet with all features working out-of-the-box, i guess, you should buy another device.

I can attest to the opposite - it's there and it's obvious. ROMs for the i777 stem from one of two sources, Samsung or CM variants. ATT only released 4.1.2. to the i777 a few days ago, and Samsung to the i9100 before that. CM is on 4.2.2 but as you mentioned, that is where the bug originates. Therefore the CM derivatives, i.e. AOKP, all fall prey to it.

I remembered that in the old CM7 days, using the US camera libs caused the camera to go flipped. However when using the Intl camera libs, the camera was in the right orientation. Perhaps you could try that to see if it'll work?

Sorry that no one really addressed your question. The galaxy player dev community is kinda fading away since, well, the device is getting older and less practical, so there are less users. Anyways, see here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848595
Also, if you're still on gingerbread, you may just want to flash the REDD rom. Check it out. That personally gave me the best gingerbread experience. Of course, cm9 and later in my opinion are all better.
