Please don't link me to the work around when its for UNLOCKED BL ONLY FOR NEO as I have read the thread.
I can't unlock the bootloader because when I have phone powered off, holding menu then insert usb. no blue light comes on, instead it just boots. I can't access fastboot mode.
Crazy idea. I don't fully understand how the bootloader works but what if.
I get my hands on a neo with unlocked BL. flashed a generic stock rom then kernel patched it.
creating a .ftf from the neo with a unlocked BL. Flashing the phone with 0% battery issue, with the .ftf will that work.
Thx in advance
Have you tried "back" button instate of menu button?
Mine works on back button
Although in theory the file should flash, we don't know how many levels of security are on the boot partition. Most devices as well as checking when writing to boot also check at boot for the signature, which is the point the above would definitely fail at.
If you've 0% and can't live with it, your going to have to unlock, although if your still locked do you have warranty left?

well 0% battery on a phone is pretty useless no?
The bootloader is locked because i can't access fastboot. Warranty left no.
Then contact jinx13 or use omius to unlock, there is a charge around 15€ but surely that's better than struggling with it

oh, good.
it's disappointing to know the service center didn't fix your phone. i guess warranty is just good for factory defects.
exactly ...if its a software fault we are better off solving it on our own from xda than service center...... they r only good for hardware faults..... and most of them are not covered in warranty i think
but they took my warranty papers and cancel guarantee...what a bastards
i am using now this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1444858

if guys still on issues one and only best idea to overcome the problem is to relock the bootloader. it can be flashed using flashtool like we do for .tft files or sin files. try it out it really worked for those regreting OTA updates.
Sorry u are stuck

Maybe force it to shutdown, press vol up+ power for 15 second till you have 3 vibrations then plug the charger.

hallo I have the same problem. but my don't want to turn on.
My Acro S is running a stock 6.1.A.2.45 with CWM, rooted an bootloader unlocked, it has been working fine with this firmware for almost 2 weeks, today out of nowhere i switch the phone off for a reboot and it refuses to come on, it can go into fastboot and and flashboot however it does not power on, it's been plugged in the charger for almost an hour but it dosen't show any sign of life, no led blinking no Sony logo, nothing and when i try to force reboot by holding up and power off it just gives a little vibration and nothing happens, please help! sending back to the service center is not an option as in my country Sony service is crap as it's done through a third party company that hire retards exclusively, not to mention that they will rip me off as i got my phone from another country.

Nothing mate, no led, no log, no nothing as i said it just vibrate when i force reboot and can go into flash/fastboot mode, anyway the battery was almost dead when i turned it off to reboot and now i am not sure if it's charging to begin with hence why i am too scared to flash it and risk permanent bricking, do you think i should leave it for a while on the charger first?
Also would it be too much if i ask for a link to the stock rom as the one i had is not on this pc anymore?
Yeah you should leave it for charging for an hour or two.
I'm not too sure about the link. Browse through the dev section you'll find one

Okay thanks,
Regarding the ftf i don't think that it has been posted before, the one on my phone is russian and i don't recall where i got it from, i found another that's Malaysian however i really need the international version this time, do you think i should start a thread requesting it?
Okay i fixed it however the flashing didn't work and until now for the life of me i am trying to figure out what happened, anyway here is what happened and how i got it back working, maybe it will help someone in the future.
1.The first 2 flashing attempts failed without any explanation in the log, i then tried to re-install the flashtools drivers and went for a 3rd attempt, this one did not fail although it did not succeed either it remained stuck on retrieving device information.
2.I went to Sony software update standalone software, it requested from me to put the device into flash mode, i did but then it refused to update as my device had modified software, then i went to the pc companion and made an attempt to fix the device but of course i got the infamous server busy error.
3.My last hope was to go into fastboot mode and attempt to flash back the stock kernel.sin, that did the trick, the phone went back up and as i suspected it wasn't charging during the incident as the battery was down to 1% and it turned off as soon as it went on, it's now turned on and charging without any issues however i am really curious to find out what happened, i will charge the phone back to 100% then i will flash back the previous kernel that caused the issue,
For reference both kernels are found in this thread:

It happened now again after i tried to boot into recovery using the xparts app, i had to reflash the kernel to unstuck it and this time i flashed the old kernel that had CWM, the one that initially got stuck and everything is back to normal, but i am really curious to know what's wrong.
Did you ever find out what was wrong with it? My phone won't charge no matter what I do to it. Kernels, stock ftfs, all custom roms I could find. I'm thinking about replacing the battery cause I can't keep the phone on for more than a few seconds....
I'm using my Xperia Neo V now more then a year. It is running on official SONY release firmware. So didn't rooted. When the battery was empty like always i did, plugged to charger. After a few hours turned on. At the begin everything seems normal, after pincode i saw that main homescreen then it went off and booted again. And now this process is going on and on and on.. Rebooting all the time. Even before entering the pincode if i wait for while.. If i enter the pin tha i have just a few seconds... Then it boots again..
Is there anyway to rcover it? Recovery mode (turning on the device while hold/pushing on the audio buttons) don't work either. After pin step see the home screen and can see on the buttom "securemod" (i'm using it on Dutch no idea what it is in English so i guessed securemod - if i translate it in English this is the most likely word) but then it reboots again... So i tried without sim card / without SD card but still same.. Keeps booting all the time..
Can anybody help me?
I am repeating again: it is a device which is running on original/official SONY firmware!
Can i hack it to custom fw? Because the system and device nor working properly i have to find out a way to hack it when the device is turned off or hacking with the tricks when it is still in booting process....
Thanks folk..
PS: This is my first post and i swear i did a search and readed the rules Could not find any answer that related with my problem..

So here it is.
I was using an Xperia mini st15i (rooted). Tried to install stock rom of LWW.
After flashing, the rom did not load and I realised I had made a big mistake by flashing a different phone's rom.
Anyway, I flashed the stock ics rom (mini), and the phone starts up.
The only thing is, the touchscreen doesnt respond. The 'menu'and 'back' buttons are working, hardware keys working.
I found methods to fix the screen brick, but they require me to unlock the bootloader.
Now I have another Mini which rooted n unlocked, and I had no problems in doing that.
In this case, the problem is that because I re-flashed the stock rom, the usb debugging is turned off. Because of this, sdk tools and flashtool wont recognise the phone in adb mode.
Now I cannot find a way to turn on the debugging, and I dont know how to fix the screen.
PLEASE HELP!!!! I have run out of all ideas
But if the bootloader is unlockable you don't need to turn on usb debugging. You can boot in fastboot mode by holding volume up and connecting to pc, then unlock! Should work

Yes you need the IMEI, but I guess it's on the back of the phone, too
Thanks for your help.
Iv managed to unlock the bootloader.. but still cant get the screen to work.
Service centre guy tells me the screen needs to be changed, but i am pretty sure its a software glitch. (service centre doesnt know i tinkered with the rom n all )
tried many different methods with different roms, but the screen doesnt respond. lcd works fine, touch is not working.
back and menu keys are working tho.
anyone have any idea where the exact problem is???
