Downgrading and rooting is in my tutorial, link in signature.
Just use a File Manager(ES File Manager for example), go to /system folder and open build.prop file. If you see any other SI number there, just replace with the one, that is on your phone(under battery). I can't remember, how many times the SI was, I think 3-4 times. Just edit these numbers and save it again.
Nothing else, you're done.
Did that trick on my LWW also.

Sorry to bother, but what exactly is this SI number you are talking about? Is it the serial number?

Answer:
Since there are minor differences in the software depending on product, country and operator we have a unique identifier that we call Sales Item (SI). The SI is identified by an 8-digit numbers in the format XXXX-XXXX. To find out what SI number your phone has, please take off the back-cover and take out the battery. Under the battery you will find your SI number.

Thank you!
But why one should worry about changing manually the SI after flashing a ROM?

because of warranty sir

What you can do I guess is downgrade to gb then edit your SI code in build.prop to the one you mentioned above, then update through pcc or seus.
That's what I'm doing when it repressed for my country to see if there's any difference.

That's what is written under the battery. What about yours ?
According to WotanServer, for Greece the SI is 1252-3310, which should be right because for versin 2.3.4, DailySecret was preinstalled.
I uploaded the ftf for the official ICS 4.1.A.0.562 (1252-3310), that I got from Update Service, here:
www (dot) go4up (dot) com/link.php?id=1XMUwpP0RVNb
(new user, so I am not allowed to post links)
Thanks mate.
Do you know how to install cwm ?
for root there is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1600728
which mentions cwm been compatible here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346190
Didn't try it, I do not know if it works!
This one is working for sure: go4up.com/dl/1KBs1gvSnW7A
How to:
1.Enable USB debugging (settings->developer option),
2.Enable Unknown sources (settings-> security)
3.Connect usb cable to pc
4.Run .bat file
5.Connect usb cable to phone and press any key on keyboard
The phone will reset and its done
P.s 1253-3310 should be the Greek firmware i had it before and "sony ericsson update service" upgrade it to ICS same firmware.
You can check which version you have by pressing in dial pad *#*#7378423#*#* service info->software info, its the customized version.
Worked !
Now , i'm on official Greek ICS.
Thank you for your help.

Why don't you just flash 4.0.4 .ftf? I mean, since you already flashed few ftf's you already lost your original software/firmware which you had on your phone when you bought it.
To be honest, I don't understand what you mean by "The result is that my phone doesn't recognise my default SI number".
I don't know for which CDF's is ICS out on PCC or SEUS, so can't tell you what number to put in build.prop.
Maybe you can explain your wish/goal a bit clearer.
Anyway, read my thread which I linked above, maybe you will get idea how PCC or SEUS works.
To be honest, I don't understand what you mean by "The result is that my phone doesn't recognise my default SI number".
I mean that my SI from the back of my phone and the SI found in build.pro and/or what is recognized by S1tool are not the same.
I don't know for which CDF's is ICS out on PCC or SEUS, so can't tell you what number to put in build.prop.
When update serviced is launched through SEUS, there are 4 xml files created in its folder. changing their values might hopefully change the download request from their servers.
Also, SEUS seems to autoload some data for the update process from phone when connected in MSC mode. I can't figure out what to change @Madfish. I want to try to trick the detection by seus, in order to get my phone straight again. Reverting everything to as it should be.

I don't think someone will ever notice that you didn't install the official over the air update you were supposed to get.
And also, it's not like you unlocked the phone and installed a custom rom. It's still an official Sony rom.
I don't see any obvious reason why a repair center would check your firmware version. After all it's a known issue and the solution to the problem is there.
And no, i don't have a backup image or so of my stock firmware.
There was a post here on xda with all GB tft files and there was a Belgium one.
Just search for that post, I can't seem to find it anymore tho

I'm quite sure they won't bother
I think of it like this, your phone arrives at the repair center. The person who has to repair it reads what is wrong with it. He then says: "Ah, i see, the yellow tint issue. Time to get to work, but not without checking the software version first".
It's a very unlikely scenario if you ask me. He's just going to fix the screen, check if it still works completely and maybe do some additional tests in the service menu or so.
But you could indeed just do what Hitmax117 mentioned, just to be sure.

Change your Si Number in an easy way!

Hello,
There is a way to get the desire ROM from what do you want from Sony Companion PC
Just Change the Si-Number?
Now the question is How exactly change the Si-Number?
simply you should change the SI number in build.prop ,
but simplest is to a program do it for you,
So I had written a small program with c++ that will do it:
Here's the link of it : Sry: had messed up with something, will try to fix it
Just open 34.exe and follow the instructions,
Or simply change si number in build.prop
SI number is different from Customization number. It won't work. SI stands for Sales Item and it describes the hardware, not the software.
Also, even though you locked the bootloader, the DRM keys are still wiped and that can be seen by Sony Serice Centres.

Doesn't work on 2012 devices.
SI is not the same as CDA. Unless Sony have merged the two recently (which I doubt).

try to downgrade to a lower frimware like .168 instead of .182 (just flash a .168 firmware) then change your si number to 1261-5054 in that way you will get an update for your si number (1261-5054) and you can install that update via pc companion
