Ok this what I did to fix that same problem on Energy GB Rom,
First I had my nandroid back up of my stock Rom, it had all my data setup already.
Second I wiped everything in Recovery.
Third I installed energy rom through recovery, while still in recovery I went to advanced restore then restored my Data only from the stock rom, and it fixed my problem with the facebook sync of the pictures and I had all my apps, wallpaper, and setup the way I want it.this should work for Energy ics but I'm not sure, but if your comfortable with backups, and flashing your amaze then its worth a try. Just make sure to back up everything.
Good luck

Lets get a good rom going

And to the ones with root not showing up, can you 'ls /system/xbin' from adb and paste the results?

I cant activate google for the market with this nor the stock rom. I even did *228.
Any suggestions?

Solved issue once I did a reset in settings (found solution through Google for nexus one users)
This might be a dumb question but do u have ur gmail synched and set up?

Girlfriends Fascinate just decided to randomly stop doing anything except showing lights on soft keys after rooting and lag fix. Decided if I've got to restore should try this. First flash I got stuck at a similar issue after VZW logo. Wiped data and cache and was able to boot but entered in to FC hell. Working on flashing back to stock Odin posted in other thread as we speak.
Update: realized I had only wiped data and not cache as well. after doing that was able to flash back to stock, trying this once more.
Update 2: No go, still FCing like crazy. Flashing back to stock.

I had the same issue. Install stock and then Angels. Wipe cache only and it should work. If you cant activate Google do a reset in settings and all is fine.
I'm sorry, but that's exactly what I experienced rooting and running the lag fix on a Vibrant. There is something flawed with the lag fix. I don't know what it is, but this is the 4th experience I've read about that's the exact same as mine.
Could Samsung change the file system with an OTA update? Is that even possible?

All the lag fixes have some issues right now. The best lag fix will come once samsung releases the source code for our phones. See here: http://project-voodoo.org/

[Q] noob question ?

is there anything different that u have to do if your flashing from 2.2 rom to 2.2.1 cause i went from bionix 1.3 to frost 2.2.1 and my phone was completely messed up. so any advice / suggestions or is it just the regular process?
Personally, I would Odin back to stock prior to flashing 2.2.1. Have you used Odin before?
ODIN is always a good way to go when in doubt. But you shouldn't have any problems going from Bionix to Frost i would think disable voodoo at the very worst.
What kinda issues are you running into? Is it just the other TitaniumBackup problem you posted in this thread?

A good idea is to back up your sd cards to your computer once in a while. Then do a nandroid back up. Just to be safe. Then you can do your Odin

that sux bro. i know i lost everything once without a nandroid to save me. contacts were saved to phone or SIM card not to my gmail so i lost all of that(I save all contacts to gmail now) and the only way i know of to restore messages is with a SMSrestore app or if you have the paid version of handcent i believe it will restore messages as well. glad you got it back tho!

how come i cant go back to GB after flashing ICS

i recently flashed new firmware and an ICS rom and now i have not data connection. i want to recover back to GB rom that i was running before where all was well. why cant i go back?
You'll have to flahs it back to stock, there are lots of tutorials, so google it, or look on xda

If your s-on i think you'll have to get s-off then flash the 2.17.651.5 Zip file.
The new firmware sometimes seems to keep people from reverting back to GB from what I've read on here, so as the previous posters said, you will have to flash a previous radio beforehand.

thanks my friend, you have been a big help. as for being stuck on the splash screen that just started after i tried returning back to GB from ICS. i have tried clearing cache, dalvik, and factory reset still nothing then i had the great idea of trying to reflash the ICS rom as its still on my SD card.

Need help from those who have successfully installed cm9 on boot manager

K I'm using boot manager to install a cm9 Rom and it keeps failing at creating boot.img. I don't know what I'm doing wrong since I've herd of others installing cm9 roms sucessfully using boot manager. Maybe it's something in my settings? Tried making a thread at init2winit forums but have not gotten any response over there. Anyone here willing to help me out? I would greatly appreciate it.

that usually means you dont have enough space
Thanks for the advice. I did check my SD storage and it said that I only had 1.16GBs left. So I thought that this could be true I suppose. So I switched to int. Storage as the install location(which I have 9.67GBs available on) and its causing my phone to lock up and freeze. Happened right at the part "extracting Rom please wait..." Weird...

Remember to disable logging in Superuser. That also causes some major issues. Just open superuser hit settings icon, and where it says logging set it to off. You should have much better luck that way
Cool, I will try that. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, with no luck. I'm interested though. What do you guys have setup in settings?

The Rezound is supported by bootmanager.
I've never been able to get boot manager to work correctly since I've started using it back on my dinc2. Had issues installing some roms on that phone too. Which is why I think my problem may be the settings I am using. Is there specific settings I need to use for the rezound?
EDIT: After I changed the settings SU I tried again at work and it froze still and even rebooted during the install.

Ok, so I finally got cm9 roms to install correctly and now when I try to boot to them it just shows the splash screen for a couple seconds and my display turns off and it never boots. I've tried with kang and paranoid with the same results. I've tried going into recovery and manually flashing the update zip for rom 1, didnt work. Can't think of what could be the problem....

Doesnt look like anyone has asked you this, but are you S-Off?? You need to be S-off for this to work. Also make sure when installing you wipe system/data/cache. You should be able to use the ext.4/2 either one will work. I use the ext.4 since it installs faster....alot faster.

I am S-off
First time when I installed from stock rom, I did a full wipe, I had everything backed up so i formated everything.
Later when i got this prob, I reinstalled by doing dalvik and cache wipe.

I had this issue as well. Are you using Faux kernel? That might be causing that or try to factory rest, wipe clean partitions delvik ...everything including internal SD. To be safe wipe twice. Also use ARHD super wipe. Then flash through recovery. Keep using the default kernel that comes with the ROM. Hope this helps.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using Tapatalk 2
Well I am not using faux kernel.
I think flashing latest gapps can help, but have no time to check. I am on travel this whole week. Should be able to check on weekend.

...or by wiping before installing, since you OBVIOUSLY said you didn't wipe.
