Maybe I'm dumb and keep missing it in the stickies but does anyone know where I can get the latest pri? I have a feeling using the factory pri is causing.issues I'm having on ics with calls not coming through and extremely delayed texts. Thanks!

And by factory I mean the one that shipped with the phone. I have always manually updated the radios and it appears none of them in the stickyd radio thread contain the pri

Also, it'd probably help to note I'm on PRI 1.15_003 right now. I think what I'm going to try is install a stock 2.08 rom and take the OTA, then flash custom recovery back and and nandroid back to my current rom. 1.4, S-Off so shouldn't be a problem I'd think.

I just rooted my EVO 3D (revolutionary) and flashed my first ROM. I still have the stock radio which is 0.97.10.0530.
Should I upgrade the radios to the latest ones or is it not worth it? Have you guys seen better signal with the latest radios?

The radio is one of the pieces we receive in OTA files but receive very little to no information on what is updated/changed. Also since it is a binary image, its much more difficult to run a diff on it against a previous radio image.
I'm still on the same stock radio version as you. I haven't bothered to flash the latest version. I generally don't unless I'm having some serious type of issue with the radio or there seems to be overwhelming support for the latest version which there usually isn't.
Hope that helps.
I been running mean rom and now my phone is incapable of upgradeing past 3.4 do to the system update. I am debating to ruu back to stock and then take the ota so I can contenue updateing my meanrom. only issue I have with doing this. I want s-off and I don't know which may be cracked first. I suppose its better to just stay on 1.15 hboot and update if they cracked 1.19 first.
IMHO. Logic would dictate that the one that's been around longer (1.15) should be the first to cracks but you never know.
Personally I would wait giving yourself the option.

nevermind I don't need to do a ota. I know my phone I can do mostly anything the a s-off person can do just have a couple more leaps to do it. Flash gui image allows me to flash radios kenals and hboots. without doing the ota. only thing I think is I cant downgrade to a previous hboot.. not worried though I just updated to the newest mean rom.
No you can't do radios or firmware.
I'd strongly recommend kernels through fastboot and not the app

i am now on 2.13.651.1 with hboot 1.15 s-on sorry i was wrong on flashing hboot bto 1.19 did not want to do that yet thought it was my only option when I updated to 2.13.651.1 how does one know what radio I am running I thought when flashing the mean rom 3.6 all that stuff was included. I like to check what radio I am running.
I have had no issues with installing kernals with this app. I know I can take the kernel put it on my computer adb folder and install using adb interface.
I was wrong I just got update tp 2.13.651.1 radio and hboot uneffected I am not to worried no lte here in st louis so I can wait
No, roms don't include radios. And if you are on hboot 1.15 you can't update radios so you are stuck with whatever one you got until you take the OTA (dont do that) or soff is found

I have been reading about these updates and I am curious about some things.
Sorry if I come off a bit noobish here. I am frustrated by the inability for the phone to pick up an lte signal on its own (without me changing from CDMA/evdo to CDMA/evdo/lte or turning on airplane mode.)
I am thinking from what I've read that the new baseband addresses this problem. Since I am on hboot 1.15, I would need to unroot to get this and then reroot again if I'm not mistaken. Or would flashing a stock ROM with the 2.13.651 give me that even though it does not show a change in my baseband?
I love the phone and the ROMs that are available on it, I just wish lte was easier to keep.

Welcome to the forums!
The radios are supposed to have improvements with picking up and holding an LTE signal. However, in my experiences new radios don't really ever help all that much.
Since you are on h-boot 1.15 you would have to unroot and either OTA or RUU to get them. Be aware that they may find an S-OFF for h-boot 1.15. Accepting the OTA or taking the RUU will bump you up to 1.19

No don't unroot. Just simply flash a stock rooted 2.13 Rom and flash New firmware through recovery. Don't think you can with 1.15hboot ill have to check.. but don't waste your time and effort. Simply dl and rooted stock/custom 2.13 Rom and you'll be fine

No he can't do that with hboot 1.15. If he wants radio or firmware he has to unroot. Thats why I told him that.
I personally don't think its worth doing so, but thats not my call to make. I gave him the facts and will let OP decide what he wants to do
OK. Next question, I prefer aosp ROMs to stock. I'm currently running PA.
Does this mean I will be using the airplane mode method for a while if I want to enjoy lte?

Hi, its been awhile since being in the root scene. Last being my HTC EVO 4g.
So, I now have the e4glte. It came with software version 1.13, so I'm assuming I have the supported lazypanda hboot. But how would I go about double checking my hboot.
Secondly, once I'm rooted, where can I find the 1.22 ota stock rooted. Havnt been able to find it browsing the forum on my phone
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE using xda premium
To get to the hboot screen first make sure that under Settings>Power, that Fastboot is unchecked. Power off phone then push Power and Volume down at the same time. Should pop up with the Androids skateboarding.
Now for the 1.22 software you'll have to search through develpoment, but you should know that were up to software 2.13 now. 2.13 comes with Sense 4.1 which gave us more to do with, esp the remapping ability of recent apps.
Hope that helps.

Thanks a ton, I did some more research. Seems I have the launch software, but it was nagging about the 1.22, so I thought that was the latest.
Seems I'm one of the lucky ones as I bought this phone today, and I have the 1.12 hboot and the1.02 radio.
So ill I need to do is use the lazypanda method to diff then flash a 2.13 Rom of my choice?
Is there any Plain stock 2.13 roms that anyone can link?

For the most part, yes. But it would also be good to update the firmware and radios which can be found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30865522 Make sure you obtain s-off before attempting this though.
And I tried looking for the stock 2.13 ROM but I can't seem to find it right now. If you can't find it though, I know I should have a copy on my pc that I could put on dropbox for you. Just let me know.

Here's a stock rooted ROM:
[ROM][Kernel] Jewel 2.13.651.1 Stock Rooted - Based on Latest OTA
I'm running:
Rooted 1.22.651.3
LazyPanda S-OFF
Hboot: 1.12.2222
Baseband: 1.02.12.0427
PRI: 2.28_003
PRL: 25010
Haven't updated ROM because I figured I'd wait till JB hit and bugs got ironed out. I also never updated firmware because everyone was saying that you you can never go back after you update. So, my questions:
1. Can I update to newest firmware while staying on an older ROM?
2. If so, should I?
3. Is there any reason to stay with an older firmware (assuming there are no compatibility issues)?
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. No, baring any compatability issues I'm not aware of.
I'm s-on hboot 1.12 and obviously wouldn't want to upgrade my hboot. I can do radio, but I guess that's it?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
In the Android Development forum there is a thread with the firmware. You can flash the one that says "no kernel/hboot/recovery". That way it'll just update everything else. There are a bunch of files that it flashes but I can't say exactly what each is for except for the radio.
Yes I went with stock with goodies and I have no regrets
