i can't do kitl mode, after presing com + power +ok buton nothing happen, also com + power + reset, it just reset the unit, can someone help, thanks
AFAIK not all roms have KITL enabled.
Okay a dumb question since I couldn't find the info from the forums.. What is this KITL and since it's not enabled in all ROMs, are there a way to enable it or are there any original shipped roms with this KITL enabled?
I think i've a serious problem.
My Tytn has been stuck in tri-colored boot screen and shows
Herm200
IPL-1.04
Herm200
SPL-2.03
I've looked at the wiki and found this
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Unbrick
because of SPL 2.03 i should try this
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=PB_KITL_HERMES
But when i try to come in PB_KITL_MODE nothing happens.
i guess the comm-manager key is the middle key on the right side.
Any ideas what i could do ?
Thanks for your help

So i guess there is really no other way than to send the device to the repair center ... :-(
I only wanted to update to the WM6 official firmware. I will phone with the repair center tomorrow morning and here what they will say.
If anyone else has any idea what i could to to unbrick my device i would appriciate any help. But i think all what i could try has already be done.
I also have a SPL-2.03 Bricked Hermes... but I cannot get to the KITL mode, nothing happens and I stil lget the tri-color screen.. is there any updates on how to get to KITL, or how to unbrick without getting to KITL? And by the way, what KILT stands for?? Thanks
and by the way, when I try to get to KITL pressing the suggested buttons I get a flash of a white screen saying "no image file" it´s just a flash, then it gets to the tri-color screen. It seems to recognize the USB, as when I connect the phone, it says USB underneath the PDA screen... Pls Help!
I had the same problem a few months ago. My lil sis cell (TyTn aka 8525) just crashed on her and when I got it to do a soft reset it, booted up to the tricolor. Here's what i did:
1. Disable ActiveSync: connections -- settings -- uncheck "Allow USB Connections"
2. Remove the battery, put it back in, connect the USB cable, power on the unit (this should allow the USB port to be opened again)
3. Wait a minute or two, if you get a message that device cannot be recognized just close and ignore it
4. Open mtty.exe and select "USB" from the dialog box, then hit Ok.
5. You should see a white screen, hit enter and you should see a prompt like this: "USB>" (for some reason, I got Cmd>)
6. Type set 14 0 (do not copy and paste!!!) and hit enter
7. Soft reset with stylus
8. OS ROM and radio version should be back and OS functional, the unit isn't a BRICK anymore! (after the "set 16 0" I got it to boot but "No GSM" cell is non-functional but PDA functions work)
9. if it doesn't unbrick, repeat all the steps but with the command set 16 0
Source link: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_UpgradeProblems#problem4 will allow you to download the mtty.exe
Hope this helps.

Download and extract/unzip the firmware file
Download and extract Odin v3.12.3 ZIP file
Open Odin v3.12.3 software
Reboot device in Download Mode (hold Home + Power + Volume Down)
Connect device and wait for "ID: COM" to turn blue in Odin
Add the downloaded firmware file to AP/DPA
Make sure "Re-Partition" is NOT ticked
Click the "Start" button to begin the installation process

When I try, at each time I press the power button the flash light is on!!! My phone is not recognised by my pc. So what can I do? Buy another one?
Thank you in advance

Now no only black screen and sometime when I press power button the phone vibrate (sorry for my english I'm French)
Maybe go to your friend, boot into bootloader, plug phone and see what happen on his computer. Maybe your OS can't download drivers.
usually when i mess this phone up i am able to use the companion to flash it back to stock. i tryed to flash magisk and now the light flashes when plugged into a power source and the phone does not turn on at all. if i hold volume up while turning on it boots into fastboot mode because i see the blue light and i was able to use flashtool and its fastboot tools to flash system.sin from stock firmware but that has not made a difference. i have tried to get it into download mode(upgrade mode) by holding volume down but it continues to boot loop. if the device is not plugged into power and i hold volume down and power it boots into recovery and i click both safe mode and factory reset but both turn the device off. any ideas?

the only recovery available is the stock one that says power off, safe mode, continue boot, factory reset... none of them do anything....this device does have a locked bootloader, it uses a recovery like many motorola's do... its a software recovery so its gone lol
You should be able to use flash tool to flash the proper ftf file for your device. That is what you are trying to do right?

So, if you hit the flash button on flashtool, tick the flashmode and after preparing it asks you to power off your phone and plug your USB cable into your computer and then press the volume button "down" while plugging in the USB cable to your phone, It should enter flashmode and start a automated flash. This is not working?

I'm not understanding how it is bootlooping. Your phone should be off (power off) when holding down the volume button and plugging in the USB. Is your phone powering on at this point to bootloop? If so you might have hardware problems Is all I can think of.

the phone started bootlooping after flashing that zip. so that rules out hardware, and when i say boot loop i mean lights flash screen stays dark..im trying to figure out if there's a fancy way to fix this through fastboot
depends on wich ftf was used before and bootloader some of them can enter flashmode just by put on the otg cable
It was running 5.1.1 and it boots into fastboot when I hold volume up, but just lights and virbates when holding down for upgrade mode
Same problem. z3v, accidentally flashed a wrong firmware zip via TWRP.
Now if I push the power button, nothing happens.
A long push causes a short vibration and nothing else.
Yellow rest button does not change anything either.
If I connect it to the PC, the following happens: Red led lights up briefly, phone vibrates, green led lights up briefly; whole sequence cycles after that. Now the only thing I can do from there is hold volume up for a couple of seconds, then the phone enters fastboot mode. Blue led lights up continuously. Flashtool sees the phone in Fastboot mode.
However, where to go from here, I cannot see. Any advise?
I had this problem once. It might be your usb cable try a brand new one that rated for data also not just charging. I was trying to root my phone at work and it wouldnt work and when I got home I tried a different usb cable and it worked.,

I am no closer than when I posted this, until there is a bootloader unlock witch in theory can be done through fastboot, we are s.o.l.

aaa,It's very easy.you can use flashtool to flash a new system. but you must be in green light.only it.you also can be flash.sure,if your phone can't get into system,it only loop at"SONY".You touch the power and the volume up and down. keep 7s. then the phone will get into 3E RECOVERY,you chosed power down.and then the phonwill be power off. Now you can flash you phone.
If you phone can't get into green light.you can use the tool Z3X easy tool to save your phone.or it will be a brick.
my phone cant be start.it have became a brick. Good luck

Sorry I'm late.
You can download firmware on XperiFirm, then flash your phone with newflasher.
To find these tools, use Google Search.
Download firmware you need from XperiFirm, merge it, delete "simlock.ta" file.
Put "newflasher.exe" into the firmware folder.
(You can find many complete tutorials on Google.)
Press power button and volume up dutton for 6s, release them after phone vibrates 4 times(1 times and 3 times).
Long press volume down button, plug your phone to computer. You can find the light on top left corner turns green, that means it has come into flash mode.
Then open newflasher.exe in the firmware folder, press "n" and enter for 2 times, wait until it prompts "press any button to continue..."
After these processes, you need re-flash the recovery. Long press volume up button, plug your phone to computer. You can find the light on top left corner turns blue, that means it has come into fastboot mode.
Press Windows+R, input "cmd" and press enter, input "fastboot devices" and press enter.
There should have a device and a code.
Input "fastboot flash recovery "(there should have a space at last),drag your recovery to the cmd.exe's window, press enter.
I'm have to go to work, but I'll write more on that later.
