I have a cracked LCD screen which not nothing is on the screen. How can I tell if the digitizer works?
If the phone has hepatic feedback anywhere, and you can remember how to touch the screen inn the right apps to make it happen. If it still boots... Plus doesn't the screen and the digitizer come together attached to the glass?

Google for Android screen cast, it's a Java program, that displays what's on your screen on the computer.

Dropped my 3D, backlight is very dim or none at all. Do I replace the LCD or digitizer? Or, is there a separate light? Any help is greatly appreciated....

I believe the backlight is part of the LCD itself. You are going to have to open the phone up to fix it anyway, so you might as well open it up and just see if maybe a connector came loose or something first before you buy a new lcd.
You need to order a replacement LCD if you don't have or want to go the insurance route. I replaced the LCD and the digitizer (glass screen) on my wife's EVO, not too hard if you follow the videos on Youtube.
Thanks

i would replace the LCD... all the Digitizer does it recognizes your figure jesters
I was wondering if anyone else is having a similar problem. I have a vertical bar on the left side (not edge) that has no response to touch. I tried it even in recovery and it doesn't work. Do you guys have any solution other than changing the digitizer?

Nope. I had the same issue where the right 10% of my screen wasn't responsive. Took it to Sprint and it was a bad digitizer. They replaced the whole screen assembly since the digitizer is hard to fix on the 3d. Free for me with TEP, but it would have cost $35.
You can download apps that test the screen and find if you have dead spots or ghost touches. I myself had to lock/re-lock my phone twice to finish this post, cause mine is going bad. :-\

Okay I cracked my screen a few months back nothing major I barely notice it. Now however my Bluetooth isn't working (unrelated) and sprint won't look at it because of the screen so I have a couple of questions.
The first is that I bought a screen and digitizer without the LCD is it possible to replace it that with out the LCD and glass already together.
next question is what would cause my Bluetooth to stop working completely?
Thanks

It's the digitizer assembly, not the actual LCD Screen. it's what goes on top.
What he said.
But do you know if your actual screen is broke, or just the digitizer.

My screen is shattered from a drop. It works still without any problems. Would this be what I need to fix it? If so, I'm in for $100.

It probably is all you need if the lcd is still working, however my experience on older htc phones is that they are always very difficult to put in despite what the seller says. Often the lcd gets broken while separating the broken touch screen. The best way is to get a unit of BOTH the lcd and the touch screen digitizer-an assembly- already together. That will still be pretty difficult to do so don't expect less. Won't be long till a bunch of parts phones start surfacing on ebay and screen prices drop.
Hey all my partner had dropped her phone on the edge. The screen doesn't show anything at all. The menu and back button light up though. Is this the digitizer?also is there a way to find out if the LCD is damaged as well? Thanks

It's an OLED screen on this phone, so the screen and light source are the same thing. Unless it's just a loose plug (unlikely) then you'll need a new screen and digitizer, to replace just the screen is quite tricky so most repair shops will replace both together.
