hello
I bought my Atrix 1 week ago I am with the following problem:
was updating the phone software for motorola.
but my usb cable was disconnected
now it just keeps resetting until the battery runs out
I tried to use some applications, but still not getting success
someone could help me, I researched a lot but did not find a specific tutorial for this case
thank you very much
So, it loads up completely and then resets when you try to run applications? At what point is it resetting?

'I tried to use some applications, but still not getting success' ... what applications have you been trying to use?
'now it just keeps resetting until the battery runs out'... are you able to charge your phone?
I realise that english is not your first language and it is sometimes hard to say what you mean but it is important that you let us know EXACTLY what is happening.
If you are able to charge your phone try these steps first and see if they help
take battery out/put battery in/turn power on/press volume DOWN (-) as you do this/
you should then be in the recovery mode (if you are not repeat steps)
scroll down using the volume +/- button till 'wipe data/factory reset' is highlighted
press power button to select... this should take you to another screen where you confirm selection using the same volume key and power button to select
DOING THIS WILL DELETE ALL USER DATA (things you have managed to put on phone)
after this has finished you should be back on the main recovery screen
select 'reboot system' using volume and then power button
system should reboot. Is there any difference?

Hi all
I have a Lobster 700tv phone which I think is brilliant, but I'm looking to upgrade the software from mobile 5 to mobile 6. I have windows xp on my pc is this possible?
The reason I'm asking is that my phone is somehow stuck in headset mode (even without the headset plugged in) and I can't figure out on how to get it back to normal. Even when the phone rings, I get the ring tone, but have to plug in the headset to answer the call. (I've done a cold reboot and it's done no good). I took it to a phone repair shop yesterday and they've said that it's a software error.
Has anyone else had the same sort of problems?
Or if anyone can advise on a possible solution (apart from throwing it out of the window!) I'd be grateful.
Thanks
If its a software issue a hard reset should bring you back im not sure what a cold reboot is so you may have tried this, also never heard of your phone so i wouldnt know ho to hard reset. If hard reset doesnt work then you will probably have to flash a new rom, possibly to wm6 if you can find the rom.My advice is lots of searching and reading... good luck
wm6 won't come soon to my and your lobby's screen
it requires a LOT of time to be done, special tools, extracted ROM for the operation and so on, (btw the phone isn't very commercial, wide-spread and so on, which is demotivating programmers)
ANYWAY, now on the topic:
you can try the CLEAR STORAGE option
found in accessories, it does almost fully hard-reset the phone, but preserves DAB app (I read somewhere, that hard resetting did remove the app, but I'm not sure now...)
anyway, here's how to do the hard reset:
1. Press and hold soft1 and soft2 keys (i.e. menu keys).
2. Press and hold power button for around 1 to 1.5 seconds. Release power button. Keep holding both soft keys.
3. After a while, black screen should show instructions asking user to press '0' key to reset to factory default.
4. Press '0' within the timeout period (which is very brief).
If instructions don't appear on the screen, repeat steps 1 to 4.
it'll show the boot screen, and afterwards a black background with the typings, quickly press 0 to reset, sit and wait
as usual, backup all contacts, data, apps, stuff like that, and then do the job

Hi there Prodigyfied,
Greetings from cloudy and overcast England.
Thanks again for the info.
I've tried what you've suggested, and it's still the same. Do you or anyone else have any other ideas?
Thanks
Paula
Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner!
it is a common fault with HTC phones and is a hardware issue - here is one of the MANY threads on modaco
http://www.modaco.com/content/HTC-T...aCo-com/229405/C500-Stuck-on-Headset-profile/
Should have enough suggestions to get you working!
Good luck.
Thank you
Thanks Confusious,
The suggestion in that other thread has done the trick.
You've made my day
Thank you.

I have this phne for 2-3 weeks and it never run out of battery completely. Yesterday it did and when i plugged the charger it opened and it got stuck in the clock screen. No buttons are responding only the hard reset (power button and the middle one). The screen turns on and off every one minute. It is a mess...any help is appreciated!
Solved: Thank you guys for helping. I found that the solution was to download the Update Service from SE and follow EXACTLY the steps it mentions.
Steps:
1 Deactivate the phone for 30 secs. (in this case unplug the battery once it could not close normally)
2 plug the micro USB in the phone and then the USB to the PC
3 Before plugging the USB to the pc press the back button and hold it for as it takes. it takes a while. the the update service will start formating your software and it will be as new...notice that what the sd card contrains isn't deleted
realy ther is noone with the same problem? i start to worry. please could anyone say any opinion?
Hello,
try to start your phone in save mode and then deinstall your 3. party apps.
I think the failture comes from an app.
an app could also be the reason for a verly long boot time.
her some info's about the save mode: androinica.com/2010/08/06/how-to-activate-android%E2%80%99s-safe-mode-to-get-out-of-a-force-close-loop/
hope this can help you with your problem.
My suggestion to you would be to take it back to the place where you bought it and tell them to fix it... if it's only 2-3 weeks old they shouldn't argue.
Hi,
In another Forum I was recommended to ask for help here:
after successful flashing boot my new FG8 no longer the flash process went smoothly, booted, then did the another SD inserting card, I turned off,new SD card in, and since then I can press days and after the power button, nothing happens at all. Battery is charged.
The instructions I found in English ( china-iphone.ru) (cca page 70 onwards)the correct firmware for me was from March.
What can be done except throw out there? Is there any code in the buttons (or squeezing etc etc.) I would be grateful for any ideas ...
Actually the whole thing was due to GPS bug (which has twice the speed shown) which was also resolved, but I can test no more ..
I remembered that did not do factory reset. In google I found the manual from HTC Desiree, (First Volume Down button simultaneously then one-off button) Unfortunately for the Chinese scrap is only one times black and white strip down, but only so long until I hold down the Eischaltknopf.
If the device is left to save?
I look forward to each answer. The phone fg8 can be admired in Youtube.
Sorry for my English...
Thanks in advance
It means, NO HOPE , thx I understand.
I have the same issue :-( any updates? My phone has been working fine for months and suddenly stop responding to power button. (took battery put in ... no help)
please help!!!
Did you do a factory reset?
hey there,
damn im so nervous right now.
ive not got too much time right now to fix my smartphone but I need it urgently.
i have a s3 with gorgoid custom rom, which i flashed like 4 month ago.
since then I DID NOT make ANY change to the rom or anything. no flashes etc.
I just used it.
now I just wanted to write someone back on whatsapp.
and suddely: smartphone goes off and on again. but I only see the first s3-logo: http://media2.giga.de/2013/10/Samsung-Galaxy-S3-Teaser-Bootloop.jpg
then it turns off and then on again.
...bootloop...
why so suddenly whithout any change to the system?
and even more: what can I do to rapidly fix it? at best without loosing any data........
thanks a lot!
edit: when inserting the battery back in it again, the s3 starts after 3 seconds automatically.
when I try to put in the battery and then quickly hold down volup-home-power button, I shortly see the recovery menu (I have cwm 6 or so) but the phone reboots quickly after it...
Reflash your existing rom, same version, don't wipe data. Clear cache and dalvik, try rebooting.
If that doesn't work then you'll have to factory reset, or may have bigger issues like efs corrupt.
edit: your power button is broken, try wiggling it or replace it.
I cant even get into recovery, thats the f***ing big problem always when inserting the battery, the phone starts itself.
isnt it normal that the phone starts itself when inserting the bootloop or how do you assume my power button is broken?!
and how to "fix" it at least so that it doesnt start itself anymore!? I cant break it off the phone... because then I cant start my phone anymore...
OMG and already fixed it.
what I did:
let the battery out for 15min.
in the meantime tried to rattle the power button a bit (to loosen it in case it somehow stuck and thus pressing constantly).
with 3 fingers pressing vol-up + power button + home button, then with another finger inserting the battery.
that lead me into recovery which then worked.
cleared cache and dalvik cache.
system reboot.
works now
PUH!!!!!!!
Next time if this problem occur again, try to "playing" around with your power button (like push harder three or five time).
I think your power button got stuck, that is why your phone always looping around like in the link you gave.

Yeah true, just happened again.
I hope I can fix it again now...
And I hope so hard that i doesnt get stuck at any time forever
Hello.
First of I'm a fan of this forum for a couple of years now but never had a chance to have an account until now (Still a total newbie), anyhow I tried to fix it myself for weeks now searching and looking for almost everything I can both Google and here but no avail. desperate as I'm now I decided to start this thread.
My phone is Sony Xperia XZ1 G8342, the problem is boot looping as I stated the possible reason I think it's because of low internal storage (64GB) I used around 90%, and yes I did clean up the cache from time to time but its keep building up back again. I have had experience with this problem before (only once) around 5 months back it kept looping so I force shut down > turn it on again repeat this process for the whole morning and suddenly it's back to normal.
How it started.
I charge the phone and Google play probably automatically updates all the apps, which is really dumb of me to turn this function on, then it freezes and starts restarting.
My goal.
I know people will tell me just be done with it and re-flashing or use a Sony PC companion. but in this phone, there's a data that hold dear to me, I know this sounds stupid in some aspects and yes it's totally my fault for not backing up some of these data and still relying on a 5-year-old phone. But I hope to fix it without losing all of these data and at least be able to access it for backing up.
More info on my phones.
None root.
The phone can turn it on normally but it's will restart itself once it reaches the Xperia logo (FYI: booting > Sony logo > Xperia logo)
When connecting to the PC and holding volume up the led light will turn blue (I'm not sure if this is Fastboot mode or something else) PC will detect as Android devices when checked on Device Manager.
When holding volume down + power then keep holding volume down the phone will vibrate after reaching the Xperia logo but still to no avail.
Sim card and Sd card are removed, same result.
The battery is replaced about 2 months ago.
All other parts except the battery are original.
It can charge normally.
USB debug mode is off. (very unfortunate)
I don't think XZ1 has recovery mode which really sucks since older models have it and newer ones also have it.
Any solution or suggestion is very welcome here, I'm not a native speaker my apologies for that.
I don't want to list what I have done so far because the way I have tried might not be correct, I might miss some tiny details or maybe I could try it again if you guys suggest.
Regards.
