When I use a qvod player app it has problems loading the video. And when I used another app it said it couldn't be played after I tried to skip into the video. It only happened to me in ICS. Rooted and nonrooted. I was rooted then messed up and had to load the official update to do my school work and what not. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem or know how to fix it.

Did you check the bit rate of the video that you are trying to play? In the ICS update Sony dropped the bit rate of video playback from 24Mbps to 10Mbps. You may have to reformat the video to get it to play.
Ah. I never checked. I don't know how to check. It usually streams on the app though. I wonder why they dropped it? Every video was working fine on honeycomb.

I recommend freemake video converter. It will let you change the bit rate. Just Google it lol

Well, if it works after you reboot, but then stops working again (forcing you to reboot), something must be happening between those two times. Are you launching any particular apps, changing any particular settings? Have you tried checking things like dmesg/logcat?
My tablet s is not rooted, originally 4.0.3.
I cant remember what app i launched between those two times, but i think probably it is because i unplug my headphone
Why is this in the development section?!?

lag issues? i'm not familiar with blade buddy or that touch screen app for galaxy.
i haven't done anything *too* intensive on the phone but i have rarely experience any type of lag on this device. the lack of lagging has been very impressive to me.
if you are on the stock ROM and kernel and still experiecing lag, based on my personal experience, you might want to look into taking it back for an exchange as it could be a hardware issue.
if you don't experience the lag on a stock ROM and kernel, it might be whatever custom ROM or kernel you're using has an issue or bug. if you're on a custom ROM/kernel, also good to check in those specific threads to see if anybody else has reported a similar issue so the dev knows to look into it and resolve.
hope that helps!
Yea when I first got the phone the xda east major laggy and that's before I rooted so I guess I need to take it back then cuz this sucks...since I rooted its been flawless but couple days later the lag would come back and now my screen is becoming unresponsive at time for like 2-3 secs!!!

yea. as a last resort test, i'd flash everything back to stock and run it for a day. see if its still laggy. if it is still laggy, find good examples of when it lags so when you take it back, you can show the person how laggy it is through the examples.
hopefully you can swap out for a device w/no issues!

lol yea, given the unknown area rooting a device currently sits from a legal standpoint, i'd avoid anything related to rooting the device as a prime example.
ideally, if you're experiencing lag on the device, it will occur frequently in common tasks like making/ending a phone call or moving between text messages or moving between menus in the settings screen, etc. it makes the best case for having an issue when you're able to demonstrate it lags during normal routine operations.
hope that helps!

hah yea. working on mainly two small apps on the market, root check and flashimagegui. pondering publishing the completely stock ROM with root, busybox and some developer tools i use on my personal device (as I did publish this on the evo and it was decently popular - might be where you saw my name). also, trying to help out (give back) in the q&a boards when i can!
if you find some good common tasks which cause the device to lag, post them back here as people with the same or similar issues might find this thread through searching and it'll give them some rough benchmark to compare against.
i've yet to see this device lag through any common tasks i run. previous android phones ive had would experience lag so this device has definitely impressed me!

Google Currents is the new big thing from Google. It allows you to view your favorite news and media pages in a magazine style format. This runs great on Android tablets, especially the HP Touchpad! Check it out:
On the Android Market:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.apps.currents
Saw this on Android Central, and grabbed it right away.
Ill be honest, I've been kinda neglecting my TP lately. After loading Currents and getting it set up, I didn't want to put it down.
This feels like exactly what the tablets were meant for.

I'm on XRON B1.3 but moved to that from Alpha3 to see if it'd fix the problem I was having given that there have been some fixes in XRON since the latest core CM7. In both cases Currents locks up for me until I get the "Not responding. Wait/Force Close/Report" dialog. I can wait as many times as I want, but it doesn't come back. If I FC then it restarts Currents but it happens again shortly after browsing around.
I think I've seen the same behavior in Google Reader which I have installed to support the Android Pro Google Reader widget, though not nearly as frequently.
I've performed a completely clean reinstall (wipe system and data in addition to cache), and I've done the whole fix permissions and wipe Dalvik/cache partition thing repeatedly.
I'm really impressed by Currents (I also run it on my iPhone and Nook Color) and think it really makes the 10" tablet profile shine! I'm hoping someone can help me figure out why it's locking up frequently on the TP.
I had the force closing problems in alpha 3 but after I switched to alpha 2 everything seems to be working fine.

using cm7 a3 and i'm getting a lot of force closes recently. it seems to be sporadic since i didn't get them at until the other day. i'm patient with the force closes since i'm really just waiting for ICS.
I'm currently using alpha 2.1 and have not had a force close on this app yet.
seems to work perfectly for me
I'm getting FCs on Currents constantly to the point where its almost unuseable. I was alpha 2, in place upgrade to alpha 3. Everything else seems stable.

Wanted to stop the false info being spread about the latest update, the YouTube app is having an issue with some ice devices, but will be fixed soon. Again, this is not due to the Prime update, non ics-Prime owners are reporting the same issue. Please don't jump to conclusions without researching first. YouTube was working fine until the last hour or so, should be fixed soon.
Update: The Youtube app issue has now been fixed by Google. however, some may experience slow load up/buffering. Please be patient, Google will have our favorite video sharing site up and running at 100% shortly.

I still have my moto Xoom, my wife has the Samsung tab...both are force closing..go to the Xoom forums here as well as the galaxy forum. Issue was reported to Google, some server updates on their end caused the issue, which is being looked into
Got the following devices in front of me:
- Asus Transformer Prime - Youtube app not working (Force close)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Youtube app not working (Force close)
- OG Asus Transformer - Youtube app not working (Force close)
- Galaxy S i9000 - Youtube app working
- Galaxy Nexus - Youtube app working
- Motorola Atrix - Youtube app working
- Samsung Captivate - Youtube app working
You be the judge.
The Youtube app have been acting glitchy ever since the update prior to the last.
It gitters a lot after launching to the homepage. 3 days ago I noticed some videos would display a scrambled distorted picture when I tried to go full screen on them.
and today prior to updating to the most recent firmware update from ASUS I noticed the Youtube app just crash when I try to playback any video.
Needless to say the current firmware update does not address the Youtube issue in anyway.
So keep this thread bumped and alive so we can hopefully get this fixed for us.
My sgs ics rom seems to have no problem except reading subscription but prime can't play a single video atm...
I've read the fpse forums and it seems tough to understand how to get BIOS loading to work.
For the record, I'm using an unlicensed copy with sound disabled to see if I like the app enough to pay for it.
Any time I try to load a BIOS then restart any particular ISO, it FC's the app. Then trying it again instantly FC's. I have to uninstall the app and reinstall for it to go back to HLE mode.
Is there really a performance difference b/w HLE and BIOS mode? Most games I've tried run just fine in HLE, but I'd like to be able to save/load state, which requires BIOS mode. I'm just not having luck getting that to work correctly.
Fpse should ask for bios as soon as you load it the first time. I didn't even know you could run roms without it.
Download this file and put it in your psx folder or wherever you have your roms. Load it up and everything should run fine.

Edit: Looks like the BIOS file I was using wasn't good or something. The one you linked has all of the games I tried working, along with working save/load! Time to buy the app now.
BTW, Does the OpenGL plugin work well for you? When I select it, it slows the games down way too much.
Just playing devils advocate here but if you had initially purchased the app wouldn't that give you tech support to resolve your issue?

That's the sense I got reading their forums. Yet another reason I figured I'd try for myself and ask questions here on a forum specific for the Note.
Is anyone else experiencing lag while playing games? When I'm playing my favorite game, Home Run Battle 2, it will lag to a unplayable point sometimes. Other times it will run fine but usually this requires a system reboot. I've also heard people experiencing lag while playing Temple Run and Riptide. Some say that the lag is only there while running the stock Rom and that it goes a way running a different rom. Is anyone else experiencing lag while running the stock rom?

please use correct forum/sub-forum for your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1706"
I already asked this question in the Tmobile sub forum however, I figure I ask it here as well since it appears to be a software issue and not a hardware issue (hence why I included the possibility of people not experiencing this issue with anything but the stock rom).

Use the Q & A forum for this discussions..however I have never faced any lag while playing any games..NOVA 3 runs fine..Asphalt7 runs fine..Deadtrigger runs fine..I dont think there are any more graphic intensive games currently..clear cache from the app..reboot and then try..if that does not work..clear data from the app..this will erase all your gaming history from the game..recommend taking a TB backup before this..reboot again and then try..
hope it helps

Hey, I know I have a different device than everyone involved in this thread, but I found this by means of Google while I was trying to figure out why I was getting terrible lag on homerun battle 2 on my gtab2 7.0. I figure someone else with same problem, different device will stumble across this as I did, especially since it was the first result given by Google. Anyways, the solution I found was: go into your device settings, find accessibility, look for zoom gestures. If zoom gestures is enabled, disable it. This feature picks up on the tap from homerun battle 2 and jet pack joy ride, temple run, anything that requires a quick tap. Your device thinks you want to zoom in and it causes almost a whole second delay. I hope this helps someone, as it was quite frustrating for me. I'm not sure, but I think zoom gestures feature is 4.1.x+
