Hello I am a neov user , i am looking to run flashtool in my laptop ..bt after installing flashtool ..when i open the application ..It gives me an error saying : The JVM could not be started. The maximum heap size (-Xmx) might be too large or an antivirus or firewall could block the execution .
I already have my antivirus off and firewall also off. I hv the latest version of Java also installed. My installer version of flashtool is 0.7.1.0 .
I hv searched over but i am not able to find a solution to it .
Please help me ..i really need flashtool to work
Maybe will be helpful if you say what system you are running (XP, Vista, etc.)
Have you tried an older version of flashtool ? If you tried, it gives you the same error ?
Please use search function & post in existing thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351317. Thanks

Hello.
Finally I finished the installation of w2k5 in my XDA II. But now I´ve got another problem... To syncronize the XDA II with the computer, it´s needed to use ActiveSync 4.0, but to installate it, it´s necesary the latests service pack at the windows of your system... This is the problem... which is the service pack that I exactly need? Cause i tried to install service pack 2, but I can´t ( everybody knows why I cant... my windows it´s... not so legal as Microsoft would...)
Please, some help!
SCSSSD.
sp2 is required as far as i know
SP 1 will also do...tats wat they say in their compatibility list, but not sure if sp1 should b updated or not, try installing the activesync n see
Ok. I finally did it upgrading to SP2. The problem was that my validation key was not correct ( everybody knows why ) but I found some ways to solve it
Now it works, I can syncronize it via Infrareds but I can´t do it via USB (I have wrote it down in a new post...)
Best Regards
Why Adb commands won't start in CMD with my - Vista x64
I just get an notification that Adb.exe (or other like the command > adb shell) is not compatible with Vista x64Bit
I want to install Busybox on my HTC Hero - which is already rooted.
My primary problem is - I want to install Apps on SD - for which one u need AppsToSD. AppsToSD need a rooted HTC with busybox - right ? OR another ROM (JFR)
I don't want to flash another ROM so - I decide to install Busybox on my own - which doesn't work for me - because of the incompatibility of adb with my vista ult x64 ! What now ? How to get Busybox on my Hero in order to dissolve my primary Problem - which is described on the top. Sry for my bad english hope u understand what i'm askin for.
adb is running on my vista x64 ultimate without problems. i have installed the sdk and added the tools folder to the path variable
Hm ... OK !? What I'm doing wrong ? I have downloaded the latest SDK extract to C:/ (in root) - add the PATH in same way ... to the Systemvariable.
Still the same notification
Do I have to download the SDK again - or something else ? What could I do - to get it work
Maybe its a problem with rights??? Vista protects his systemdrive (mostly "c:") drive more then other additional drive for security reasons. I have the SDK installed on my "d:" drive where everyone has full access.
Ok I will try to change to D:/
I will report tomorrow thx
Hi - doh' changed to D:/ ! Effect ... same notification as on C:/
Don't know what to do !? Thought to download the latest SDK again and try same ... BUT do I have to chage the system variables to "default" ?
If so ... HOW ? What is default on Vista Ult. x64 ?
I would never have thought that it would become so difficult. And all that for installing Apps on an SD Card. In my opinion it should have been implemented already like that. Instead, one tries to solve these problems even anyhow.
What would you do ? Pls Help
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have download the new SDK 1.6 r1 --- and ? DONE ! YAY ! Adb.exe start without any issue.Why ? I don't know --- Can be closed.
Thread can be closed ... tired searching a solution
try
running command prompt in admin priv.
right click the adb.exe and set compatibility to be xp.
I have downloaded the flash tool twice but the downloaded file always gives error(even tried opening as administrator).
Plz Help
You antivirus program blocked the file.
Disable all antivirus first and make sure you run your bit version (86, 62)
I have checked that my antivirus program isn't blocking it.
I am using Win7 64bit version. Do i have to download 64 bit version of flash tool, if so plz give link.
Thanks

I also have 64bit version, regular Flashtool works fine.
Seems like you have a file missing. Maybe your antivirus has placed it into the Chest/Vault or something like that, because it detected as something dangerous. Check your antivirus settings.
I copied the downloaded file to my other PC having same antivirus there and it runs perfectly fine there.
Thanks everyone
KIS and KAV are blocking installer.
Hello first,
I registered this forum, I would like to edit APK, later to write myself, so it might not work quite so .. (Create a custom Vlt. later times in Rome, but feels that the current problem to me ...)
Here's what I've done:
JRE and JDK = Install (Win 7 32 bit)
Android SDK is installed with usb_driver, Android 2.3.3, 4.0.3 Android
When the system variable "Path" is the Java platform and android-sdk/tools and integrated tools ..
ADB Multi-Tool installed
The following mobile phone is available:
HTC HD with 4.7 IceColdSandwich AOKP
I enabled debugging on the Android phone, but when I "adb devices" comes eingebe only "List of devices attached" and ends ..
Vlt. can someone help me just because I think hitch at several corners ..
Example: I have done the TeamViewer.apk from Market on the PC in the "modding" folder from the APK multitool. Did the project selected and attempts to decompilen, worked ... Then, without which I had changed something, I immediately pressed compiling and there were thousands of errors ...
I am grateful for the help ... Since I'm new to the forum and am in the wrong area ... please move ...
In advance I thank you before all who want to help me ..
Best regards,
max
P.S. Sorry for bad English, no time so i used google translator..

Yes, that's right. Can't install the drivers Flashmode, Flashboot from driver directory, an error appear "DPinst.exe does not execute on your current Operating System". Even i go C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Temp\Flashtool traying to run DPinst64.exe -same error?!
I've had the same issue on my Windows 8 laptop. The drivers installed successfully after disabling "Driver Signature Enforcement" on your Windows operating system. Reboot your PC and press F8. Then select " Disable Driver Signature Enforcement". Then install the unsigned driver.
ОК i managed to run all the stuff but on other PC.. now have other problem. I install CWM v6.0.1.2 (recovery) on phone going on whit steps are shown here:
