Does anyone know more about this like where we can get it or when it is going to be released ?
here is a link to what it is looks amazing

I'm quite impressed, I would love to try it out, seems that was running on a Desire HD. Wonder how it would run on our Rezounds
.
wow, really offers a lot of options and functionality. Should be interesting to see how that is implemented and what the cost looks like on release date. I read the website and there was a mention of a paid service. Might that be a monthly cost? Maybe we can hope that google will buy them out and make android that much better =)

yeah it has alot more features than most launchers would love to have it based on just the lasso selecting and the unlimited widget placement lol but overall i think it looks like the most fun just wish i could get my hands on a beta build of it
I first saw this about 2 weeks ago so hopefully it's getting close to release time.
Seen that awhile ago, i wish it was released
Yeah, I posted about this back on the 15th. They have the working model, but they have yet to make anything official regarding release date. The last thing I read was possibly early next year for a release. I can't find where I saw that, though.

There are a few working versions floating around on the net already for this. Does seem quite good and different vs the other mainstream launchers which are all quite similar
Yea it got released, it's almost 17 dollars
its pricey but the more I use it the better it is. Once you customise it to your liking its very fast, fluidic in its motions and the animations etc are great. needs more options like 5 screen limitations etc but great potential and it's quick, next to no lag. I only had a freeze once and to reboot the phone to respond otherwise it's great. v1.3 working great with the box theme

trebuchet is the stock launcher for CM9.
It was built by the CM team specifically for CM9.
It looks just like the stock ICS launcher so idk what you're complaining about.

His point was somewhat misdirected (at Trebuchet) when in fact it's how Google does ICS for tablets. They dont feel it's necessary to have an app-launch bar, notification pulldown, etc. I totally agree with this decision. A tablet experience should be different, but still with the same overall feel. I think it's perfect.

Woah, nice.. Excited!
Why does every Android device I've ever used seem to lag opening the app drawer? I've tried almost every 3rd-party launcher, lots of custom and stock roms and phones and tablets, and they all seem to hiccup, at least a little, opening the app drawer. I only comment because I noticed it in the CM9 video for the 10.1 and the Touchpad, despite both having excellent hardware.
So strange, I had hoped ICS would put this to rest once and for all.
(This, of course, does not in any way speak to this team's efforts to bring ICS to the Touchpad, for which I am ever grateful!)
That accent is so sexy.
Can't Wait!!!

Good question. Using VTL.Launcher my TP does stutter a bit on the drawer animation (not on any other animations though), but on my phone (Epic 4g) it does not stutter at all.
I'm not really fond of that type of animation anyway, so disabling it eliminates the problem.
Please post threads like this in the General section. The development fora are meant for development topics only.
Load up Nova Launcher on the TP, see if it's any better.
I'm pretty stoked about this. Hopefully we're gonna get a surprise tonight or very soon....
It was an amazing app, I see no reason to leave such an app alone with no update for about 11 months.
Dev, please return soon. Hopefully nothing tragic has happened :/

Yep, this. A year since an update now. But at least it works fine in ICS, unlike ADW EX, which has weird lines in places and can't put icons in the top area of the screen.
I thought the dev passed away. I think I read that somewhere, not trying to troll.

Same for me, works great on SGS2 and an AOKP custom rom under ICS.
I bought this way back before he released the unlocker on the market. I still have my unlock code on a paper in my wallet from around 2010. I used this launcher religiously on each of my phones and setup some sweet themes around it. Now that I've got Ice Cream Sandwich on all of them LP is irrelevant. The dev abandoned us midway through last year, and so in turn I have abandoned his app. Wish I had that money now so I could buy Apex Pro. It's quite a shame.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's been abandoned. Sad, because I really liked that launcher. I just Nova or Apex now, but it'd be nice if development had continued on something that a lot of people paid for.

Never worked for me. I just gave up on it. I'm not too upset about that, because I only paid 10 cents for it.
I have been following pretty closely on the launcherpro forums on the status of any updates. Supposedly Fedirico or whatever his name is, is completely rebuilding the apps after an illness. From time to time he comes on the forums stating that the work is ongoing when someone is complaining about the lack of updates. However I have seen no results nor any evidence that this is happening. Just his word and his wife's (I'm assuming she's the one running the forums).

Exactly. There's always been someone else saying 'hes working on it' for well over a year now but no word from Fede himself. Even ADW EX got an update since then and that was declared dead not long after LP.
Sent from my GT-I9100
I think what's really put the nail in the coffin for many of us is Fede and whateverhernameis's attitude towards those of us who have been waiting for over a year for a solid update. Getting ANY sort of actual update status on this supposed "rewrite" has been like pulling teeth, and his board overseer acts as if we have no right to ask what the hell's going on, or wonder if it's dead. After all, we've only PAID for the freakin' thing. It's been "he's working on it, stop whining" instead of anything substantial.
So I said to hell with it, jumped to ADW EX when they were on the 10 cent discount, and haven't looked back.
i gave up on LPP ages ago. was obvious that nothing new was forthcoming and (IMO) the only reason the site is still up is to try and fleece people into buying the app still

It feels like alot of clutter was removed from the system and the store was changed. Play Magazines is actually an awesome addition with reasonably priced items (.99 c for any one mag $14.99 for an annual subscription). Google Now is actually kind of scary in that it has just what you need to know when you need to know it. The 'card' system is great when you want to know about the current weather and traffic but the google seach integration sucks therefore making the sports and travel cards blow. The notification bar has been improved allowing you read whole messages and call from there, snooze alarms and whatnot. The whole thing is just....smoooth...Jelly Bean is ICS fully realized.

Ok, I'm sure going backwards on a device is just as hard as forward if there have never been drivers for it but it sure would be nice. CM7 would be an improvement. And this phone runs damn well on JB, plus JB is infinitely more smooth thanks to Project Butter.
If you want to do something as foolish as running an ugly, old, simpler build of Android on a phone that runs ICS and beyond flawlessly in hopes of it somehow improving the experience, I suggest you do research and figure out how to do it yourself because no one will waste time on that.

Wow I'm so glad your opinion carry so much weight. Ugly? Old? Really? EVO lte running flawlessly? Oh that'd be why it reboots playing a simple vid that was recorded from my old phone. Or why it can't keep an app in memory for 5 freaking minutes when I navigate away from it.
As for hardware acceleration. Gb didn't need it. Try running ics without it.
I didn't ask anyone to build it for me. My post plainly ask if it were possible. Maybe to spark another topic. But this bashing narrow minded xda today is exactly the reason devs leave. Just how many versions of the same damn ruu that already has problems do we need anyway. GB isn't a worse version, just different.

I don't care about going back to gingerbread myself, but I would think that the source for CM7 would still be out there. I would recommend checking here, I've found it to be a valuable resource.
Yes of course source is still out there. Problem being if OP could compile AOSP from source he would know where to find it
Compiling GB would be buggy as hell on the LTEVO, and IMO a waste of time.

That is Sense, not ICS. You have to compare stock GB to ICS before going "GB is clearly better" HTC phones have Sense on top of it and different versions of Sense affect different things. Try out the CM10 build and (apart from the obvious early build bugs) I assure you you will be impressed. Just wait it out until it becomes a fully working stock JB ROM and it will run better than a pure GB build on our device.
As far as whether it's possible to build or not, it is possible, however I doubt many devs would be interested in making this a reality considering the vast improvements that ICS and JB have over GB.
Stock ICS != Sense 4 ICS please understand that ICS is not as bad as Sense makes it and while I don't like Sense, this new version -- other than the multitasking -- is not as intrusive as previous ones.
Also, make sure you search before making a new post :
Gingerbread?
