Cyanogen battery life - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hey guys, I've been wondering. Is the general battery life on cyanogen less than stock for every rom out there? As far as I know, its supposed to be better in cyanogen, right? Or is the issue just on the Ace?

HI
its my understanding that battery life on ace sucks lol
despite stock of custom rom
however ore to the point
cyanogen is for performance....at the cost of battery life there are various scripts/tweaks which help however
stock roms are, well stock roms they have balance or supposed to
they also have tweaks and scripts and they tend to last longer than cyanogen
in summary
cyanogen for power/speed
stock for battery/balance

Haha...i think it suck, thats why any cyanogen i use with different kernel...

I use cyanogen mod 7.1 by grif_07 (original CM)
Never had a problem with battery life, would say its about the same as stock, but get better performance.

I use the custom ROM and not even bothered about flashing the official one. Custom ROMs give you lot of flexibility to fully utilize your phone's potential. And there is a community to support it. It just gets better and better.
I would prefer official ver..as its bug free nd with great battery backup..
I'm using the official one for the time being, will switch to the custom ones soon.
CM7 by mik works great for me with better battery life, more stability and even fast
vote for CM7 by mik.
hopefully he can released his custom rom base on official rom
Devoid forever and devoid froyo final. Both are great seriously

Obviously choose what's best:custom rom
If I got to choose, I'd pick something like void. or devoid.: very close to standard with all crud chopped off. With the addition of a very well developed kernel (FF?) that would be pure bliss.

Best rom with best battery life for Samsung Galaxy S2

Hey Guys,
I wanted to know which is the best custom rom for Samsung Galaxy S2 currently with all the features and the best battery life. I saw many roms but was unable to decide to go for which rom. Thanks in advance for the same.

my favorite WAJKIUI ROM .... fast, and better battery
Agree with above plus if you add setcpu you can get amazing battery life.

check rom with siyah kernel 2.3 ,very fast medium battery life...if you want better battery life get sensation rom by crysis with siyah 2.1
I am always on internet due to which the battery life of my Samsung GalaxyS2 is very poor. If i install a custom rom which has a better battery life will be very good.

What is the most time you received from your battery?
Read the development forums and try one until you get something you like.

[Q] AOSP Vs Samsung ROM. Battery Life

Been thinking about this and cant decide, well wonder if anyone knows.
Do people think that the Samsung ROMS de-bloated and stripped to minimum with a decent Kernel, have better battery life than say a AOSP ROM, with a custom Kernel?
Just a thought!?

For sure, why not matey?
Look at my results

Where are your results?
The maximum I ever achieved on a Samsung ROM was just under 7 hours screen time with stock battery. Max I've ever got on AOSP is 5 hours screen time. But I've just flashed a new kernel so I have yet to see if that makes a noticeable difference.

See that was my thought. I remember back in the GB days i always seemed to get more battery out of the Samsung lite ROMs than i did with CM7 etc.
I have a 2000Mah Battery and I'm only really seeing 1 day 14 hours on AOSP with 5 hours screen time.
On GB, i would have around 2 days, maybe a little more with the same screen time.

Your results look interesting. Im tempted to flash a Stock ROM (Wanam Lite) most probably and try that with NEAK Kernel, or Abyss (Never tried Abyss)
Battery 69% with 13h of use. Resurrection v1.5 with stock kernel. Awesome!!

Going to try Wanamlite.
Will strip more crap out of it as 235mb is still alot!
Will most probably add NEAK Kernel with Lulzctive tweaks and see what happens!
I still think stock ROM is better for battery life, for some reason!
At least with Vertumus' new theme its more or less similar looking

You can go ahead sir.
I'm interested in how well you can perform with new neak kernel.

I do believe its true though.
I'd love to see some 'proper' results though. Wonder why Stock Roms perform better battery wise than AOSP.

With N.E.A.K. I was having some SoD. I dont know why... so i decided to use custom kernel of Resurection remix v1.5. With Thoravukk 2.30 and siyah 3.0rc6 the battery life was weak.
Getting excellent battery life with VK ROM and speedmod kernel. Amazing combination.

I was on stock, unrooted. Rarely on wifi since I have a mobile 3g plan. Use email and twitter often. Some surfing (rarely), play bit of games etc. I get 40+ hours out of it.
I just rooted, still stock (for now). Removed all the telco crap and am gonna freeze the useless stuff. Perhaps it will be better.
Only thing is i hate the Stock look, and even with vertumus theme its still not the same!
I hear good things about the LP9 Base.
Not sure whether to try Wanam's LP9 Or Dynamic Slim!

I love SpeedMod kernel. I've been using it with Foxhound ROMs (GB and now ICS) for a while. It just gives great battery life, and I've had no issues with it at all.
i get good batt life an iam on stock 2.3.5 gb but i was neva satisfied wiv custum roms life..but every phone is diff an depends on how u use it,may b custum or stock.....cheeerz
Combination of HYDR0G3NICS + Siyah 3.1rc6 gives me about 6-7 screen on time. Which is quite impressive. GPU + CPU UV. Tweaks. etc.

[Q] which ROM you think got the best bettery life?

which ROM you think got the best bettery life?
I think kernels have the bigger influence on that,
usually those custom ones should provide a better battery life than the stock one (uve to find out and try them)
iam using omega5.1 and siyah kernel, battery wise its better than stock rom&kernel.
Usually battery life has got nothing to do with roms. It's the applications that you install on it that cause your phone to wake up. Also kernels play an important told here.
Rule of thumb: try popular ones out.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Doesnt really matter what rom you have at this point. They mostly differ in aesthetics and I think all of them have the cell standby battery drain problem. Using Omega right now but gonna give Foxhound a try. Kernels do make a difference and I think Siyah is one of the better ones out there

Which rom is best for my S3???

The only reason i stayed with my phones custom rom is because of its stability and cool functions. I have tried cyanogen mod 10 before but it was buggy but really made my phone faster and saved more battery. But i went back because of the bugs and features of my stock rom. So i was wondering which rom would bring out the best out of my S3 in terms of speed, battery saving, functionality and stabilty?? Thanks!
