Emmc memory cannot be read on computer. - Motorola Photon 4G

It looks like I accidentally formatted my emmc memory and it cannot be seen by my computer. Does anyone know how to manually formatting it to make it functional again? I restored to a factory rom and back to aokp. I can see the memory and add files to it but music app cannot access internal drive. I get two drives in my computer but can only access SD card when I enable memory access. Any help on this will be awesome.

This isn't helpful I know but I thought id let you know this does not really belong in development thread. Just letting you know why no one is gonna help. People are crazy

Ill try to be of some help. I'd try reflashing your rom from an external SD card. No guarantees as I've not run into this problem, but it's worth a try.

Any luck with this?

No luck. I can't use my emmc memory. 8 gig SD is still ok

Here is what I did to fix it...
1) Made a nandroid backup of my RevoHD 6 setup
2) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
3) Wipe Dalvik and Cahche
4) Format EMMC
I then restored from another nandroid backup that I had loaded and I can now open my EMMC from windows computer!

Dead horse kernel wipes sd?

Has it wiped anyones sd so far

I just had the same problem...I odin'd back to stock and reflashed bionix 1.2 and then I copy and pasted my backup of my internal sd card which I made just before I flashed the kernal. After that I tried to restore my titanium backup and it didn't find one. Does anyone know what could have happened?
Also I noticed that the phone only reads my internal sd card as only being 2gb so there must be a partition that I can't see through either root explorer or windows.

SD wiping is a known issue with that kernel. I'm not sure how to fix Titanium Backup. If you're Linux savvy, you could fix up the missing capacity with gparted. If not, I don't know how to help ya, as the built-in Windows partition editor doesn't fix this kind of thing well.

[Q] Sending Back Under Warranty - Best way to Stock and Wipe

I was using the latest DOW 14, ended up with the dreaded internal sd card not mounting. stl10 error!
Anyway, sending it back, but I don't have anyway of wiping the internal sd card. Is there something I can do to mount it to my pc like a USB drive.
Go to settings then sd card and phone storage, and format.

Factory reset will only erase apps and data, not the internel storage.

Thanks... just moved... thought I might get more of a development answer, but I should get answers in the q&a section too.

So how can I use the internal storage? I'm so stupid that I had forgot to backup the internal storage before I flashed the ROM...

External Storage not mounting in Android

Hey guys! I'm currently running the AOKP&CM9 Remix and for some reason it won't mount/register the additional storage space in the device. I can access it from Clockworkmod, so I know it's there and accessible, but trying to access it from either a file manager or from the Settings(Storage section) they just crash/trow generic errors. I realize this probably should go into the main thread, but I don't have the comment count high enough to comment there. Thanks so much for pointers/help!
What do you mean additional storage? Like USB OTG storage, or the internal SD card?

The internal SD card.
Oh, hey! You're the dev! Is there any way I can give you logs or anything to help? You're doing a great job with updating. If this means anything, I "updated" from OaTs cm10.
Sounds like a problem with the media scanner app not releasing the SD card. You could try to just wipe the dalvik cache and /system, then re-flash.

Just did, same error. What's the MD5 for your original file? Maybe the download was corrupt.
Here's the error I get in logcat for opening the Storage option from the home screen: http://pastebin.com/HdTuS4Y8

Format internal sd card question

I'm currently using twrp with the eclipse rom. If I flash cwm then format my internal sd card, then flash back the rom, will I be gtg? Just wondering if I lose root or recovery by formatting the internal sd card. Thanks in advance!

Anyone?

You will not lose root, but you should NOT format your internal SD card, unless on the stock rom. Formatting the internal SD caused a boot loop for many S4 users on custom roms, including me, and the only solution is to ODIN back to stock. There is really no need to format your internal SD. If you don't have enough memory, just see what is taking up the space and delete it manually. If you want a squeaky clean slate, make sure you know how to ODIN to stock first.
Also know that after you ODIN back to stock you WILL need to root again.
Hope this helped.

Thank you for your reply and yes it had clarified. I'm looking to format to clean up all of the framework/mod/extra installs that I have done between roms. I know to Odin back to stock and all of that. Thanks again!
