Hey guys! I'm currently running the AOKP&CM9 Remix and for some reason it won't mount/register the additional storage space in the device. I can access it from Clockworkmod, so I know it's there and accessible, but trying to access it from either a file manager or from the Settings(Storage section) they just crash/trow generic errors. I realize this probably should go into the main thread, but I don't have the comment count high enough to comment there. Thanks so much for pointers/help!
What do you mean additional storage? Like USB OTG storage, or the internal SD card?

The internal SD card.
Oh, hey! You're the dev! Is there any way I can give you logs or anything to help? You're doing a great job with updating. If this means anything, I "updated" from OaTs cm10.
Sounds like a problem with the media scanner app not releasing the SD card. You could try to just wipe the dalvik cache and /system, then re-flash.

Just did, same error. What's the MD5 for your original file? Maybe the download was corrupt.
Here's the error I get in logcat for opening the Storage option from the home screen: http://pastebin.com/HdTuS4Y8

I was using the latest DOW 14, ended up with the dreaded internal sd card not mounting. stl10 error!
Anyway, sending it back, but I don't have anyway of wiping the internal sd card. Is there something I can do to mount it to my pc like a USB drive.
Go to settings then sd card and phone storage, and format.

Factory reset will only erase apps and data, not the internel storage.

Try q&a section you'll just get flame here
Thanks... just moved... thought I might get more of a development answer, but I should get answers in the q&a section too.

The files are stored on internal storage. You don't need wipe this storage.

You can wipe sdcard storage external from rom or recovery. Usb storage is your internal sdcard.

Just go to settings/storage and check. Usb storage is your internal memory, I think.

Hey folks,
got a little problem with the latest HyDrOG3N-ICS
When I go into the camera app, a toast says "Your SD card is full" ... well and this is simply not true
I read somewhere I should format the internal SD card ... whatever that means, but I can find it in CWM.
Is there anything I have to do before or after that ... besides making a backup somewhere else than on my internal memory ?
Hey I have the same problem I cannot take photos, does anyone have a fix? Sorry I'm a massive noob, tried to search but found nothing

Install ES FILE EXPLORER and explore all of the folders in external and internal sd card, you will get to know how much space is being consumed. If its just a camera problem, switch to "ICS Camera+" app and then try.,
Hey I think it's affecting my downloads as well, can't save images etc off Web browser.
I have astro file manager and everything seems okay? Not sure what's going on but it's the same with instagram etc..

u can try formatting system in advance menu to make sure there are no left overs from your previous rom. i always do that when i install a new rom. always safe to avoid glitches like these. hope this helps
It looks like I accidentally formatted my emmc memory and it cannot be seen by my computer. Does anyone know how to manually formatting it to make it functional again? I restored to a factory rom and back to aokp. I can see the memory and add files to it but music app cannot access internal drive. I get two drives in my computer but can only access SD card when I enable memory access. Any help on this will be awesome.

Ill try to be of some help. I'd try reflashing your rom from an external SD card. No guarantees as I've not run into this problem, but it's worth a try.

No luck. I can't use my emmc memory. 8 gig SD is still ok
Here is what I did to fix it...
1) Made a nandroid backup of my RevoHD 6 setup
2) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
3) Wipe Dalvik and Cahche
4) Format EMMC
I then restored from another nandroid backup that I had loaded and I can now open my EMMC from windows computer!
For some reason unknown to me, CWM only see's my internal storage. Also, when I try to Wipe Dalvik Cache, it gives an error:
E: unknown volume for path [/sd-ext].
I am wondering if maybe this is maybe causing some sort of issue even though I wipe everything three times...

I am starting to think this causes some serious issues with roms that I install - cause I am betting that it is not properly wiping the internal storage....

I wouldn't sweat it. I've had this issue as long as I can remember flashing on my note (a whole two months) and it hasn't caused any issues that I've noticed. If it's a good release, mine works the same as everyone's. Same with a buggy release, same bugs as everyone else. The sd-ext issue when formatting dalvik cache hasn't caused any (extra) bugs for me.

I would use TWRP instead of CWM.
Did you try to fix permissions though in CWM?
I did try to fix permissions, and it said it succeeded, but still hasn't resolved the problem.
I'm not sure if it's an issue per se, based on one of the above posters. But it is annoying none-the-less, so if someone knows a way to fix this I'd be much obliged.
Also, what is TWRP?

The best way I can think of twrp is its cwm except for a lot more functionality with a more friendly user interface. You can flash it via goo manager app in play store which will overwrite your cwm as your active recovery.
As far as the card is concerned, I would start by...
Backing up w/e before starting
Plug into PC via in phone or memory card reader. All that is important is that your PC can see it.
Use the windows built in diskpart utility to clean it partition it and format it.
Let me know if you need the diskpart syntax, its from command line.

I can't just select the internal storage from Windows explorer, right click on it and select "Format"?

I assume that doing this will leave CWM so that I can re-install CM10?
Is CWM stored on some other storage then internal storage? Some other memory chip or something?
I'm having this issue with CWM too, it's kind of driving me nuts cause it used to see both cards just fine before, and I don't like filling up my internal card with all my roms & radios. I'm kind of scared to use TWRP again though after what happened with my GSII. In short- I have reason to believe TWRP bricked my phone. I had just gotten my Note & was getting my GSII ready to sell(clearing data, formatting storage, etc). I booted into TWRP(which I'd been using for months, so it wasn't user error) & did a factory reset there too just to be safe. It seemed to work fine & gave me the "rebooting" message, and then.... nothing. Black screen. No boot, no recovery, no download mode, no signs of life whatsoever. I had to send it to Samsung to be fixed.
Now, it could have just been coincidental timing, but I'm now understandably hesitant to use TWRP again. Has this happened to anyone else? Sorry to hijack the thread.
In CWM, have you guys tried to mount sd card.

There's an issue with the External SD listing coming up under the root emmc folder, rather than under Internal. Have y'all checked there for your External SD? This applies to CWM and TWRP.

I was about to post this issue, and I'm glad you beat me to it.
Was getting ready to Nandroid and flash a new ROM, but now got a new issue to deal with.
