So, I'm having a bit of trouble with my att right now.
It started while I was on miui ron and fxp kernel and it is still there after moving to dl krnel and donut rom. CPU spy shows that in the last 66 hrs I've been 7 hrs on deep sleep. 54 hrs on 245 mhz, obviously this is why, but how do I fix it.
Battery stats show that it's cell standby that hogs a lot of the battery, at teh least they % is huge compared to the phone is idle part, I remember they used to be about equal before.
I've tried stopping aps, all aps I got running now has been on for 66 hrs, thus they can not stop the deep sleep, there has to be some other reason.
I've installed setcpu and changed min to 128, and set governor to smartass V2, so now it's using 128 instead of 245mhz, but still not touching deep sleep.
Any ideas?
In Donut HD ROM this is the known problem. I have solved it with another users which had same issues.
Try to change your kernel to Doomkernel instead, it should fix it.

I'm having the problem that my X10 was slow when using it after a longer period of idle. I installed SystemPanel to check out which app was causing this. There I found out that it wasn't a particular app (although FaceRecognition does pop out sometimes), but the CPU is used for 100%, staying at 245MHz. The time it takes to get to 1000MHz is total arbitrary, and it's usually staggers around between this range instead of staying at 1000MHz.
Is it allright that the CPU speed keeps changing within this range ? And does anyone have an idea whats causing the CPU to stay at 245 MHz for too long after being idle ?
Default battery plan is set to "ondemand", which means the cpu will automatically adjusts itself regarding usage. But it's weird indeed it stays at 245MHz, as on mine it often goes to 998MHz just for few things
You can force/restore it with setcpu (maybe) ?
Altough your phone is lagging, your battery should stand for weeks with this clock
Am on Froshedyo Vanilla + Green minimal theme and was wondering does the min CPU of 245mhz and 19mhz eat up the amount of battery? Do they run the same voltage? Any of you guys see a difference as far battery life running 19? I know it makes the phone take a little longer to wake up when a call is coming in. Thoughts?
Currently I have it 528/245 Smartass with a charging profile
I always had problems with lag when I clocked down to 19. I never really felt that it provided any extra battery life, but others feel that it does.
+1 on the lag. We run 245 and its smooth.

There have been occasions, possibly the particular combination of ROM, the apps installed, and what app or method I'm using to overclock which have resulted in 19 working fine sometimes, but most of the time at least 160 or 210 (?) would be a necessary happy medium so that waking the screen or answering calls wouldn't be downright excruciating, so my short answer is yes, at least 210 or 245. I forget and am too lazy to look if 210 was an option, and I'm tired. LOL.
FroShedYo runs Conap's CFS kernel, and, IIRC, it was made quite clear in that thread that the kernel runs best at a minimum of 245 MHz.
I'll say this - last month I spent a lot of time going back and forth between xtrSENSE and xtrROM, both running at 604.8 max and as low as 19.2 min (I tried all steps from 245 down to 19.2), and CELB, running at 710 max and 245 min, and I get much better battery life with CELB. In fact, with xtrROM I had to set some of my update times for apps that I use to longer intervals just to get through the end of the day with 20% battery life left. With CELB I never finish the day with less than 40%, and it's often over 50%.
It may be different for you, but that's what happens on my phone.
I use 19.2.
122 and 19.2 both use the same voltage though I believe. I only use 19.2 because it keeps the average down.
I listen to pandora with 19.2 min 480max smartass with no lag.
hi guys..i've a problema that i can't resolve...
during the night my phone stay awake for many many minutes..
i don't know why...
i don't have app in backgrund...
i use the low freq at 100 mhz...
maybe is it the problem?
at 100 mhz for the phone is more difficult goes to sleep?

do you think if i set 200mhx the phone goes in sleep mode more easily?
Depends on the kernel. Different kernels sometimes have different frequencies they will set the CPU at just before the phone goes into deep sleep. There was some posts in the Siyah dev thread about two weeks ago where this was discussed. Some kernels can have the deep sleep frequency set via script. Deep sleep frequency can also vary depending on the CPU governor used for some kernels.

i have the same problem. i've try many roms and kernels, but still can't solve this problem. My gs2 is still being awake when even I am not using it.
I hope stock 4.0 rom would be solved this problem...
Cpu frequency should have nothing to do with wakelocks. Do u leave sync on overnight? I would recommend installing betterbatterystats to find the culprit of the wakelocks, then install titanium backup or bloat freezer (free) to freeze the process that is keeping the phone awake
i've tried battery stat....but i didn't see nothing...
I'll test it this night again...

so the cpu goes to sleep only when reachs some freq?
I don't use SepCPU anymore it's a useful app but i can get superb battery life without it, Speedmod K2-21 is probably the best kernel for battery life this is what i use and i can get 95% deep sleep at night.
On stock samsung kernel the cpu scales up to 800 mhz before entering deep sleep. On a custom kernel, like siyah kernel, the cpu scales to 500 mhz just before sleep so it can initiate the suspend process, which is basically what puts the phone to sleep. Btw when looking at battery stats you should look at partial wakelocks, those are the ones that keep your phone awake

Btw which kernel and governor are you using? Do you use set cpu or voltage control?

I had this problem too and accidentally fixed it by flashing a modem (XXLPB). Now all is well so give it a try.
CM9 RC1, Siyah kernel 3.3.3, governor set to pegasusq (heard it's good for multi core devices), CPU speed at 200 to 1200 with 100MHz steps (Siyah default), and modem is whatever came with CM9, XXLPS I think.
So I flashed Siyah the other day, and noticed battery during sleep has been fantastic, a 4% decrease after 9 hours - double that before Siyah. But while wifi is turned on, it heats up really quickly at the top area of the phone, around the camera. Battery loses 1% every 2 minutes, which is crazy!
What could be causing this? I've tried changing governor to smartassv2, lulzactive and interactivex with no luck. Could it be the modem? My current modem is delivering full signal bars everywhere in the entire city, but wifi reception is a bit weak.
Delivered using Nyan Cat's rainbow powers.

Heating up is a common issue with sgs2 ( because of the thinness of the device) , although if the temperature goes above 50 deg. Celsius you may have a serious issue .
Also, try changing your kernel.
sir, can u help me, my opx always getting hot, just open chrome battery temp. up to 46C, not normal, why?i dont use another apps, i just install clash royale, bbm, WA,in CPU-Z apk GPU Load always 0% its normal ?
i have intall much rom with wipe blablabla, but always getting hot
46 is not a a concern, although mine stays around 30° when idle.

do you have any idea solution ?can u share ss cpu-z with gpu load is working ?
You dont have a problem with your CPU temp. The only thing that could be causing the heat would be background jobs. If you're not sure that there are not unintended background jobs, just do a Factory reset. Stop flashing for a few and stop using your phone 24/7 and the temp will lower.
Phones and tablets with SD810 and atom x5-8300 can go up to 86 degrees, then you're sure the cpu will throttle (and performance will drop). 46 is very normal, mine went up to 60 degrees when charging and flashing, which is still no problem.
