Are you talking about if yur in the right forum? If so then yep this covers all of the i717 models. Just have to double check each roms dev thread to make sure itll work with your model

Well this forum also be for the Rogers Galaxy Note i717R or will there be a separate section?

I think this will be the forum for it as well, in the Captivate section we support Rogers Captivates, and the only difference really should be differences in the Rogers ROM and ATT ROM, all the underlying hardware is the same so in the end they should wind up being compatible.
Yeah all the bell, telus and Rogers as well as at&t are the same phone.

At least the same model, but not the same phone. It seems the Canadian models are no where near as locked down as the ATT model.

In what ways is the AT&T model more locked down?

Just the fact that the Canadian models have a toggle for LTE/HSPA+, have the NFC activated, less bloatware, stock Samsung box and accessories etc.
Not a big deal, but definitely a differently packaged product for the same model phone. And in the case of the Bell Model, no carrier branding.
how can i unlock my amaze to any carrier? for free!!
have you tried asking t-mobile (or your carrier)?
if t-mo look here: t-mo support
I would talk [email protected] He'll take care of u if u have any issues

wait for s-off, that might allow unlocking via software such as the galaxy s2 does.
Looks like your questiin has been answered.

Ok I just posted as another thread in a complete wrong section so I'm sorry if this is also the wrong one. (I've never used the app before). my question is, is the telstra s2 4g the same as the s2 epic 4g touch? And if so where can I find roms and such for it? Thanks

The main difference lies in the model numbers. I'm using the Telstra variant 3G S2, which gives me the model i9100T, where yours is i9210. I don't know the Epic's model, but it will be different again.
I was wondering the same thing about the 4G ROMs, as I got offered one for the same price as it'll cost for repairing this one. So I'm considering the change, but it depends on the availability of ROMs for it.
Maybe look further in this General forum for the Australia thread and see if there is any info in there.

Haha completely agree with the failstra. I it have them because they are the only network with coverage where I live :/... Otherwise Anaheim all the way .... But back to the subject, I have been reading around and from what I can tell the 4g is a completely different phone to the 3g because it has a different chipset.

I'm pretty sure this is correct. The Exynos processor from the Galaxy S II models isn't compatible with LTE networks. Even if it was, you might still have troubles because the networks are different so i wouldn't be surprised if the anntenas weren't different.
I feel sorry fit you because I'm having the same trouble atm with my Galaxy Tab 8.9

The lockscreen from the SGS3 appears to have been ported to the Skyrocket and the international Note, but has it been ported to the AT&T model?

wondering if there are differences between I717 versionas like AT&T and Rogers... and also wonder if they could use same roms
Yes, i717 is i717 regardless of carrier. Might use different radio or APN but you can use either for either
