Just a quick question. I'm currently having a development team work on an app for me. They are using the 2.3 platform instead of the latest 4.0. Wondering, if they used 4.0 would older devices be able to use the app OK? I know the 4.0 platform has more APIs and feature that may be useful.
It is relatively simple to update an app to the latest platform if it wasn't developed on it?
Any clear advantages to using 4.0 or are people still majorly using 2.3? Thanks!

No, if you select Android 4.0 as target, only devices with 4.0 or newer version will be able to use that app.
Your mates are using 2.3 version to achieve a high compatibility

I have been looking for CyanogenMod to flash it on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 but have not been able to find a single thread about it. I am starting to believe that CM does not exist for the GT7500 (yet?).
Would be great if someone could confirm or point me in the right direction.
Thanks
I've just had a quick look at their supported devices page and there's no mention of the 10.1. I don't know if there's a beta available.

No Honeycomb source, no Cyanogenmod. You'll have to wait for Ice Cream Sandwich.

It was a question pertaining to development of an app hence posted in the development forum. Nonetheless, i don't think simultaneous transfers are allowed by android. :-(

Questions should be asked in Q&A forums, not Development forums.
Thread moved.
Edit: In answer to your question, I seriously doubt you're going to get anywhere with it as you can't just make a quick edit and it works - they're very different frameworks. I suggest you look for an ICS compatible version of whatever app it is.
Where is the apk?
Its on this site very good ios app for android but not compatible with ics >>>http://www.androidapk.us/Games/Dot-Line-Free-27090.html

Nexus devices come with the purest version of Android installed. It's pure "vanilla Android" as you called it. If you buy a Nexus 6P new it will have Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow installed. If you buy a 6P used make sure the device has a clean ESN and is not blacklisted by any carrier that you want to use the device with. Also, if you buy it used, no matter what software is installed you can fastboot flash the Google factory images and return it to a fully stock state like the way Google designed it. Don't be scared about not having pure Android on a Nexus. That's the reason you buy a Nexus. If your really interested in a 6P, head on over to the Nexus 6P forums here on XDA and browse through each section. You will find some excellent information about the device in the General Forum as well as the Q&A and development forums. There are some excellent developers working on the 6P and they have built some really great ROM's and kernels for this device. Good luck and it's nice to have you in the XDA forums.
