Hi,
I have an MTK657x phone called y9190 that I bricked.
To unbrick it, I need the phone rom.
The problem is I can't find it anywhere
It's a mini s4 clone, it has 512Mb RAM but very small internal space
the only ROM I found is for f9192 that has 4G of inernal space and it doesn't work.
Can anyone please help? I need a ROM I can use in SP flash tool.

I also I have this device and am looking for a rom that works well and if it could be the stock rom in case I need support it.

Thank you very much for the ROM.
The problem is I expected to install a file from the rar to install with recovery and the rar have many folders and files and do not know how to install it.

When I connect the phone to the PC starts to connect and disconnect and I can not do anything.
Anyone know how to make unbrick it? (or where you have the TestPoint this device?)

remove the battery , see if it helps.
if it disconnect wait it to reconnect
just play with it.
I managed to get the smartphone to stay connected to the pc by holding the power button, vol+ and vol-.
The problem now is that the link above is an update and I need the stock rom to get repair my phone.

its quite easy just unplug the battery sd card and sims from the phone and then connect the usb cable, unrar the file that i uploaded and install the drivers open the sp flash tools and select the scatter file from the rom folder press f9 and sit back and enjoy your phone. :laugh: :highfive:

Hey there all fellow XDA members, i have encountered a problem with my p780 8gb, i bought it from Malaysia in the beginning of the year,
this morning i woke up wondering why the alarm didnt go off and saw my phone stuck at the boot screen.
I didnt do anything but update the phone a week ago via the lenovo updater to kit kat, i rooted it in Jelly Bean but didnt do it yet when i updated to Kit Kat, ive tried resetting, clearing cache & it doesnt work, im not too sure what to do but i was thinking of going back to Jelly Bean, if anybody has links to a good rom that will work for me that will be really awesome.

Hi there. Flash the ROM for 8 GB. Do not flash that for 4 GB. Usit first. I have 4 GB ROM. Look in Development section.

there is no way to hard brick this kind of phone.

Much appreciated once again ! I was looking for a guide to flash and i was wondering if this is a good guideline ? Anything im missing ? Thank you so much man !!!
Step by step guide to Flash stock rom:
1.If your phone is not already soft bricked, back up whatever you want. External SD card is fine. If your phone is soft-brick then say goodbye to your data and skip this step.
2. Uncompress all the files you downloaded from this thread into a directory where you can remember. Including the ROMs.
3.Shutdown your phone if its not in a bootloop. If it is skip this step.
4.Open "Device Manager" on your Windows PC.
5.Plug in your phone through the micro USB cable. A device will show up for a few seconds in "Device Manager". After that, it will disappear again!
6.Recognize the device tree where it appeared, and wait for it as you unplug and plug in your phone again (if bootloop, its automatic!)
7.Catch it with a right click as it appears! Then choose "Update Drivers" and pick the directory where you uncompressed the drivers you downloaded above. Its ok if after catching it the device disconnects. You only need to install the drivers now.
8.Assuming the drivers are correctly installed, run the Smart Phone Flash Tool.
9.Click on scatter-loading and choose the scatter file "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" of the ROM you want to flash.
10.Make sure the checkbox "DL DA All With Check Sum" is CHECKED
11.Click on "Firmware->Upgrade" button.
12.Plug in your powered down phone via the USB cable again. See it flash.
13.When a big green circle appears on the screen, your are done!

Sorry about the excess of messages stympy, ive downloaded the files but when i enter flash tools it says i must download ? It has also said PMT changed for the rom ?

Hey there Stympy, could you possibly tell me, are there different modem drivers for the phone in the file i downloaded ? Cause my 1st sim that works on 3g at 900 mhz doesnt want to work no more. Was thinking of just flashing with the original s124 that you posted a while back http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/general/lenovo-p780-8-gb-stock-rom-s124-140403-t2742170 . Was working more than perfect for me. Regards

Did you tried all my posted modems in How about some modems post?
Be carrefoul use those modems from folder: Modems for S221 LATEST UPDATE.
Be carrefoul all modems who worked in S123, S124 ar no more working in S214,S221,S222.
You are going to flash them for nothing.

This modems are to be flashed from TWRP or CWM.
You cannot flash from stock recovery.
Iff you want to change your stock recovery to custom here are the stock images.

Thanx bud, unfortunately i dont have TWRP or CWM installed or know how to install it.
I see you said if i want to change from stock to custom but you gave me stock images ? Confused
I take it S124 is the ROM before the kit kat update, think i would prefer a stock phone for now, do i just download the stock rom with SP Flash tool, has anything else changed ?

Factory reset using TWRP.
Flash official OxygenOS recovery using fastboot commands
Adb sideload the Original ROM
Boot
On booting, skip through setup, go to developer options in settings menu and switch off "Allow OEM unlocking"
Factory reset the phone again.
Now the phone is ready for selling/giving
Thank you for your help, i have now another Problem.
I tried it to update my TWRP with the App in the Playstore. After i tried to get into the bootloader, but my devices was just stuck in the loading screen, where u only can see the 1+ Logo. Then i went to connect my mobile with my Computer and tried with the ADB. After "fastboot oem unlock" my device just went into the same Logo screen. After waiting 20 Minutes i turned off the Phone and restartet it. Now i am stuck in the Loading screen. I cant even find my device in ADB. Can anybody please help me.
I have solved my Problem and installed the OxygenOs. But i did it via Bootloader and not with fastboot commands. Can u now tell me how should i sideload the Original Rom ?

Greetings family I hope you are having an excellent day. I commented update my mobile by repack to the beta of EMUI 9. Following this I left the bootloader unlocked and I see the typical orange letters every time you rebooted the phone, for me it is a bit annoying, so I decided to return to EMUI 8 since repack, now I'm finding that the pc only recognizes my mobile in fastboot, but when it's time to put it in recovery mode it does not recognize me, I already tried applying the patch for Windows 10 in the registry editor, I already tried changing PC and nothing, reading on the Internet I found that I have the FRP blocked and that I can not make any modification that is to say (use fastboot, 3rd programs to modify the system, update etc). If someone has experienced something similar and if they have found a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. regards.

3. and then use the tools hurupdate which u can find in xda

Hello everyone, I have recently flashed new custom ROM on my device - Realme 7 rmx 2151 and everything went as planned. I used unlocking and flashing guide new from XDA webpage... I flashed PixelPlus UI3.9 from here, XDA ... I was really loooking forward to try new things etc... and do not know where I messed up but can not turn ON Wi-Fi and BLUETOOTH. Please any advice ? Unfortunately this is a very problematic device, if you didn't make a backup before... the ofp file doesn't contain one, so you need that someone else take a backup of persist partition from a good/working phone and upload the file for you, then you can flash it back using fastboot.

Other people had this exact issue. It's the device firmware that you were on before flashing that is detrimental. Are you RMX2155 or RMX2151?

So I think, the best would be to purchase a new one as soon as possible , never mind, thats fine, I should have thought twice before I did something ... Its REALME RMX 2151 , but on the BACK of the phone its written model RMX 2155

Alright... I will be thinking of buying a new one probably , anyway I will give it a one more try and will do as you saying.. Taking a backup of persist has to be the exact same model RMX ? or could it be for example ONEPLUS ,completely different mobile ? Thanks.

No, it must be from the same model, it is a very sensitive partition, used from other different device/model could brick your device.
I backed up one from my device while it was in bricked state, if this functionality weren't broken at this time then it would work for you, if you want to give it a try I'll upload it soon.

You don't need to uy a new one. You just need to reflash the correct firmware, and then reflash the ROM you're trying to use after that.

If the firmware is not cased sensitive, then it shouldn't.
But to be completely sure backup first your persist partition, also you can back up the others aswell
Reboot to your custom recovery and type the next one by one:
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block//by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img
After that, you'll have your persist image in the main directory of your sdcard (internal memory)
After that you can copy/transfer it directly to your PC (don't forget to keep it in a safe place, not in your device)
Or you can pull it with:
Exit first from the shell (just one time, in case you are not rooted) with:
exit
adb pull /sdcard/persist.img
This will copy (really pull/move) the file to the same directory where you ran the command.
You can flash it using fastboot.

You just need to flash a.87 back onto your device. Did you need to follow an elaborate guide to unlock your phone's bootloader, or did you just submit an application via the DeepTest APK? I need to know this in order to link you the correct files to flash.
