Jig for bricked phone

Hi all.
I got my ACE last week and playing around with it.
I installed ROM manager was browsing through the models and by mistake I clicked Huawei Pulse and bricked my phone.
The 3 button press for download mode will not work.
If I use a jig will I be able to get in download mode?
Thanks

The bad news is my main PC is down and i am using a very limited laptop without admin rights, so I can't install or do anything.
I am supposed to get parts to build a new machine some time next week.

Thanks I will order it today and I really hope it works.
Well I built my own jig and no dice.
So I took the phone back and told the guy that I don't know what happened and they replaced it no charge.

Blank screen and no signs of life

So I was in the middle of messing with my note, rooted already and working great. Just downloaded a ROM to the SD. Not installing anything. Note not plugged in but 98% on battery.
All of a sudden the screen is blank. Can't get anything to turn on. Don't see anything on the screen. Nothing. Changed battery, plugged it in, no dice nothing.
Ideas? Hardware issue?
Any and all help is appreciated.
By the way was on stock ROM.
Really any help is appreciated.
Try downloading and running the is odin one click. And try to put your phone in download mode. if it does not work. hardware failure and youll need a new device
I would try the above, download mode, all different modes of the phone to see what's working.
Also i would try holding the power button for 8 mississippi seconds and see if it vibrates.
hmmm

I think i found the problem, after reviewing whAT i think i had done, I was tryuing to root and install a custom rom to galaxy note, but in odin i flashed cwm recovery to the bootloader instead of PDA...can this be fixed?
Sometimes phones die... Good new is sammy will probably never know that you rooted it when you send it in for exchange.

wow thanks yeah thats what i was thinking, if there is not water damage or anything and no power, then they should give a new one?
right? i dont see how they could diagnose it if no power
If your not getting any response try holding the volume up and down buttons at the same time and plugging it into a charger that brought my phone into recovery mode, I did a factory reset and I was up and running again

Please do this:
1. Replace battery
2. Insert batery
3. Hold down volume key + home key + power key for 15s to 20s
4. Press volume up key
5. Open Odin
6. connect your phone to pc
7. flash new bootloader(2.tar) by odin
Please see this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1354888

Press vol up + power more than 15 sec till you feel 3 vibration.
Then try ti turn on the phone or charge it first(2 hours).

There is nothing you can do than take it to service.
One last thing maybe put it on charge and leave it for 2-3 hours.

the bad thing is i unlocked the bootloader & void my warranty...
i will try that...
I was on stock 73 firmware but the ftf file that i used was 62...
can it be the cause?some sort of downgrade....
Just try and send it in if the above doesn't work. when you unlocked your bootloader your warranty isn't voided right off the bat...its a common misunderstanding, it only says 'may' not 'will'. Many people have sent in their phones already with unlocked Bootloaders for issues, the may is there just so they aren't liable if you fry it by your own doing.
If the cause of your dead device was from overclocking more than it can handle, it probably is indeed voided. If not, it won't hurt to give it a try .
Good luck and I hope they can fix your problem

[Q] RSD not detecting Photon.

So I'm trying to flash back to stock so I can give the phone to my younger brother as I've recently gotten a new phone, the only problem is that RSD Lite is not detecting my phone at all. I have all the drivers installed so I'm not sure what's going on. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I did look back to see if anyone has had the same problem as me, but nothing in those threads has helped me so here I am.

Leave the phone without battery for a while and press and hold the power button without battery for 60 sec then leave the phone again for a min or two then insert the battery and try to get into flash mode. If it isnt a hard brick then it'll definitely boot up make sure to keep the flashing stuff ready
