I wanna flash a rom as my galaxy ace does not go on (HardBricked) but if I press Power+Home+Volume down and then instert battery with usb cable pluged in already odin picks it up but stays at setting up conection

Do you have Kies installed on your PC? If so, go to task manager and check the process list for all processes that start with the word kies and kill them.
That's the only thing I can suggest as it's the only reason Odin hasn't worked for me in the past.
Well make sure u hav admin rights bfore using odin dat helps i hope

I have posted there 3 threads one where I bricked it there I got the answer for odin to pick it up then I made one with this odin error and did not get the answer and now I posted here looks like I gotta send to service senter
if u can enter dwnld mode den its probably soft brickd..but dunno y odin isnt wrkng 4r u ..at last resort try flashng other fw..maybe der's error in pckge u dwnlded..
BTW try reinstallng drivers 4r ur phn u can get dat frm sammobile.com make sure u select ur phn model..

Not soft bricked nothing happens on screen it is just dead but odin picks it up

That's strange man. :-( Odin work in mostly all cases. You just need to be sure if it's one package or multiple files. Cooper.ops file is must to be selected.

OH! That sucks man. They told any reason why it happened?
iam using galaxy s2 i9100g when i was trying to do flash using odin i download firmware from sammobile and extract the files and two files come up .pit file and pda ...and then i open odin and select both files and start flashing and odin pushes message failed ...and my phone is not going into download mode and recovery mode and pushed message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue"....iam so panic and confused how to fix this problem somewhere i read to fix problem using kies emergency recovery but it didnt work for me and asking me source code and i dont know ...iam hopeless and very terrified ,,,pls guys help me to fix my problem i shall be very thankful for yoy for that ...

u need not flash pit for upgradin ur rom using odin
pit is used incase of corrupton and for recovery
... try gettin into download mode
if u cant get into download
buy a usb jig from ebay it will take u to download mode
once u in download mode flash only ur rom ...
and chk
u can also make a usb jig
youtube it u can fin videos to do it

You should try to go into recovery mode. From there, try to factory reset

Some one reported this:
Plug a standard usb cable while pressing vol down. It will enter download mode. Not tested by me, but you loose nothing to try and tell us if it works

How to solve that
I have an S2 Hercules T989... I tried upgrading it from 2.3.6 to 4.0 but when I flashed with Odin 3.18 it gave me that error message.
I have tried four or five times reflashing it, rebooting to download mode but still it stayed like that for 1 1/2 hours...
So, I got to visit another site, I couldnt remember that actually, but it talked about on how to upgrade S3 to latest version.
There, I downloaded the latest version of Odin, too, that's v4 I think, and when I tried again (first time with that version), it worked!
You don't need to actually redownload the file, but instead, try other odin versions, recommended to download and use the latest one coz it will be the safest way to upgrade your galaxy device. Hope this helps.

providing half cooked info will lead u knowhere, post in detail which rom/kernel u tried to flash thro Odin, was the same really meant for I9100g or was it related to Some other model of s2 etc.

well, i risk my friends phone to try and root, i installed the wrong the all-in-one zip which will root and replace recovery with CMW .
It made me a soft bricked , cannot be boot or stuck at boot logo. and the recovery wont work. i tried the solution made by others that using odin3 executive v1.0.0. i went into download mode and start the button on odin3. on the half way. the message stops. i've force to unplug it and see weather it works . but then nothing happen. i can't even boot up the phone .
anyway , when i tried to connect it to the pc . the driver logo popup but installation of driver failed .
I wonder if USB JIG could help me go into download mode again .

If you can manage getting USB jig try it... And if you cant i better recommend you jtag...

Have you tried the latest version of ODIN v3? 1.87 I think.
I have odin 3.07 , i have tried with odin multidownloader too , there i upload and an ops file but it always brick my phone
Here are two of the latest versions. I just got my Galaxy Tab 2 two days ago so I'm still new at all the ODIN stuff.
I downloaded one of them , now i should upload pit and pda right ?
Can happen something with my phone , mabye brick or something else ?

Should be no difference other than version differences in the ODIN apps themselves. ODIN is ODIN.
Can it brick my.phone , or if the process will not finish , can i reflash it again ...

Anytime you flash something to a device you chance bricking it. For your device I cannot say for sure. Both versions of ODIN I posted came from Samsung Galaxy threads.

if you use rom for your device with usb debugging on then chances of bricking is very less. also .pit file is for repartition so dont add it. hit thanks if i helped.

What has usb debugging to do with bricking devices?USB debugging is active only when all services are up and running.Untill then its bootloader and kernel!
Also,.pit file contains only partition Information Table.So you can use it like you want.And I have always been flashing with pit file and not even once failed.Although you could use it only when flashing a whole rom!Not when flashing just kernel/modem etc...
To OP: Look if you have kies running at behind.It hinders the update process and kies too listen to download mode as it is the method kies uses to update.Does S plus uses some kind of lag fix in custom roms?Heard of those in sgs days.Dont know what fs S plus uses.

I BRICKED MY DEVICE AND SPENDED 3 DAYS TO UNBRICK IT
TO UNBRICK OUR DEVICE WE HAVE TO AGAIN BRICK OUR BRICKED DEVICE:silly:
FOLLOW THE BELOW STEPS TO UNBRICK UR DEVICE
REQUIREMENTS:
1.You need patience.alot.if yes.then continue.
2.windows os(download and install acronis true image)
3.linux os(ubuntu r some other)
4.bricked karbonn s5:silly:
5.the files i attached
PROCEDURE
1.download the BOOTFILES AND acronis recovery image files
2.download drivers that i attached(if u already have them.no problem)
3.press power button and volume up button till u get "RESET FOR ENTRY QSTP DOWNLOAD".Now connect the device to pc(windows os).install drivers if asked.
4.open acronis true image and select backup.now all the partitions are shown in which are in ur system.uncheck all ur system related partitions and select all the partitions of the device which are shown and finish the backup(this step is for safety.u can skip this if u r confident on urself)
5.now again open acronis true image and select recover.now select the "Partition3sector_full_b1_s1_v1.tib" file that i attached.it will ask where to recover.
6.this is the important step and do it carefully..now u have to select the partition which is of type FAT16 and has exactly 50 mb space.now oepn advanced settings and select recover sector-by-sector and now click recover
7.it will take around 4-5 mins and ask to reboot ur system showing like it is compulsory to restart to complete the process.(NOW WE AGAIN BRICKED OUR BRICKED DEVICE:silly: .DONT PANIC..CONTINUE..)
8.so click restart.disconnect ur mobile and take out battery.dont insert it.and now u open linux os
9.after opening linux.first keep the battery and on ur device by pressing power and volume down(carefull here.power+volume down)dont press colume up.
8.u mobile show a message "ENTRY FOR QPST DOWNLOAD".Now connect ur mobile to the system.in linux u get all the partitions which are shown in my computer.
9.now open the drive which id of 50 mb or around 50 mb..if u open it u can see a folder named image..
10.open the folder named "image".u can find two files named "AMSS,AMSSHD".select these two files and delete.now extract the files from BOOTFILES that i sent which exactly contains the files names as "AMSS,AMSSHD"..COPY THESE FILES TO THE SAME PLACE WHERE U DELETED.
11.after the copy is finished disconnect ur mobile.remove the battery
12.reinsert the battery and now select power and volume up buttons.ha ha.now u can see the green display of recovery.from here i think u pupil know how to proceed

ok.what u have done is u just formatted the data inside qualcomm chipset partitions..the main problem is windows cannot detect all partitions .so it shows u to format the partition.in my view never press format in future if it ask u to format.
Now coming to the problem .u need some requirements to do so
1)download and install acronis true image(in net u will get 30 days trail)
2)backup file that i will send u soon (requires some time as i want to prepare the file for u)
3)basic knowledge of using system.
4)in order to completely work of ur phone.u need a linux os installed system.if u have then u can unbrick ur device and make it funtion normally.
i will complete all the formalities.but i need some information from ur phone.just download and install acronis true image in ur windows os.after installing it.connet ur phone.open acronis true image and click on backup.it shows u many partitions so make a screenshot of all partitions and send me.dont format any partiton even if it asks u.

if u r using windows 8 and want to install drivers..follow the procedure
1.go to bottom right of ur desktop and click settings from pop up tray
2.now click on "Change PC settings"
3.go to General section.in general section if u come to last u will notice advanced startup.
4.click on RESTART below advanced startup
5.ur pc restarts and asks u to select the option of how u want to restart ur pc
6.select the option which has disable driver signature something like that
7.now connect ur device and u can install the drivers easily without any problem..

no problem man.u just download acronis true image and install it.after that open acronis application and select backup and connect ur phone.now it will show around 15 partitions.
.dnt wry abt sd card and all.sd card wont be shown now

i have done what u said i opened the acronis and connected my phone it showing only my computer drives (c:,d: etc..).
not my mobile partitions. i clicked backup my system then my computer drives pop up..
Ohhh.crapp..I think u formatted one partition when it showed format.may be that was the probelm.it might have corrupted entire mobile.

the only way is that u have to take it to service centre.but i know 200 percent they wont help u.nd other problem is we dont have much development on our mobile in xda.so we cant get solutions from here atmost.
i think i can try to solve ur problem but i dnt have other s5 to brick.ha ha.
ur mobile is compltely bricked.u bricked ur bricked device thrice.dnt wry im not blaming u.its the piece of crap from the mobile...

Dont wry.write ur xams well.not nly karbonn.every android mobile may may brick after unlocking amd rooting.so just complete ur xams and we will surely make ur phone to work again.

dude.company pupil know it coz if they open up ur partitions there will be status of root.so they can easily know that the mobile is rooted and no warrenty is applied on it.they just send it to scrap r return u without any help

im not sure about that my friend.i kept my phone at service center for three days and i told im ready to pay 1000rs.but after three days they told we can only service it if recovery option comes.if the phone is dead we cant do anything except sending it to company.i asked them will they repair it for sure.one of the senior member told that if ur phone is rooted they wnt help u coz its out of their part now.coz here we dnt have any karbonn related stuff.the partitions are made from qualcomm company.so karbonn company do not help this type of problems.i asked in hyderabad.so they told me.but im not sure about ur area.
