My friend bough a new Ace and it came with a 832Mhz CPU. He says that it is the S5839 instead of the S5830 PDA.
could it be the galaxy ace S5830i?
Can he make screenshoot of about phone?
when he dials *#1234#
S5839iBULC1 PDA
S5839iTCLLB2 CSC
and the processor is @832Mhz
Android 2.3.6
And the baseband?

Yeah this is a really rare version of the ace, somebody had it in a different thread, it does have a 832Mhz CPU (not sure if its just overclocked or a different CPU.
Its just a variant of the s5830i AFAIK
Can I ask where you got the phone from?

I think it is the Dual Sim version of Ace http://android.com.pl/news/sprzet/4...artfon-obsugujcy-2-karty-sim-jednoczenie.html (sorry of PL)
It's not rare version of Ace. It's just S5830i. It has BCM21553 ThunderbirdEDN31 Cpu clocked at 312.0 ~ 832mhz. Also Broadcom VideoCore IV HW Gpu.
No visual differences so far. Also it has lower apps compatibility compared to S5830, and GPU benchmark is a lot lower. So S5830 for the win.

He bought at the local Vodafone store. One week after mine or so, and I have the 800Mhz 2.3.5, and he got the 832Mhz 2.3.6 that's why I was wondering.

Samsung released different SGS2 Models in different Countries. Can some help me in finding how to find out Model No.
Samsung is saying that for India Model # is i9100G whereas I can't find anything similar to it on my Galaxy s2 anywhere.
Menu / settings / about phone / ....... Model number
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I know these sateps but when I contactec Samsung they said the Model # has to be i9100G whereas in my mobile it is just showing i9100 cso, the question is where to find that particular letter.
In my country it is i9100. But recently in the past week, i9100g have been released and seems to be replacing i9100. The difference is i9100g uses a different processor TI OMAP 4430. Could be only new units will have the "g" while older ones are still i9100 with Exynos
There is another post dedicated to this. May be that would also provide more information.

I just bought GSII White, and i rooted it. But i don't know in which thread should i look for new roms. Which model do i have? Im confused..
i9100 international version
roms on this forum
You should know what you have bought its on the box and the phone .

Well i know i bought i9100 (international) from VIPnet (Croatian network), but i don't know what't the diference between this forums:
Galaxy S II Original Android Development - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1058
and
Galaxy S II Android Development - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1204
@ android167
want to know the difference with a bit of fun?

Something else to note: there are GT-I9100G ROMs in this forum too. Make sure you don't flash one of those. The GT-I9100 and GT-I9100G have different hardware, so ROMs are incompatible between the two.

I just bought Galaxy S2 I9100G yesterday, was happy about it and everything , but then i came to this forum to check your reviews about it , and it hit me up that the 'G' version is kinda downgraded of the non 'G', any way i went to the market and got it replaced with Galaxy S2 I9100 now i opened the phone and actually i cant trust the market that they did not mess with it to make it seem like the I1900 non 'g' so i have this info from my Phone:
1-The phone says Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 only when i open it up.
2- Behind the batter it says :
Model - GT-I9100I9100GSMH
3- in the About Phone Menu it says :
GT-I91002.6.35.7.I9100jpKG2-C342980 [email protected] #2
so the question is do i have really have the I9100 ?
can the store fake I9100G to give false info as I9100 by rooting or putting custom roms etc ?
thanks and im really sorry if my post is not related or so noobish post
Its i9100 international .. chill enjoy and welcome

I live in Israel and I want to flash official israeli ics rom to my galaxy s2 i9100 ....is it possible?
No. You would brick the phone.
Sent from my Galaxy S2 GT i9100
But there's no hardware differences between this versions as I know only different modems so the 3g would work normally...so why should this brick my phone?
Australian/Oceania variants
GT-I9100T
The GT-I9100T (sold by Vodafone Australia and Telstra, and some carriers around the world except Europe and the Americas) is virtually identical to the I9100 and is functionally equivalent. There are claims on the XDA-Developers forum that this variant there are some differences in software, giving slightly better performance in the 850 MHz WCDMA band.

Info taken from wiki. In theory seems yes, but you don't have to. Your phone will work with any ROM designed for i9100.
Sorry about the wrong info. :/

YES, it is possible.
Do the following when flashing such Roms:
1. Backup your present ROM just incase.
2. Do normal wiping necessary before just like you want to flash a new ROM (just ask for help if you don't know what I'm talking about)
3. Flash the ROM
4. Flash back your modem (also known as baseband version)
5. Flash an I9100 custom kernel e.g Siyah or speedmod (don't flash any CF-ROOT kernel)
6. Fix permissions (under advanced)
7. Reboot your device.
All should go on as expected
Good luck

hi all,
I've recently bought a note II to and was planning to hand over the phone to my dad.
And since my dad can only read chinese, I was planning to install a new chinese rom.
The SII i have is the international version GT-I9100.
I was planning on doing this with ODIN, but im not sure if there will be any compatability issues.
I also found this guidehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916623
but got stuck at step 7.
I removed the battery and then connected it to my laptop but there was not reaction.

As far as I know i900g's roms and kernels aren't compatible with i9100's and vice versa....it can lead to bricking your phone.
You can't just change the language in phone to chinese?
